with my starting pitcher in 11 the show, i'm in 2014, i'm 21 years old, 61-4 career record, .69 e.r.a., around 700 k's, 4 no hitters (one was a perfect game), and i am the ace for the cleveland indians
I had created a completely amazing pitcher, named him A.J. Young, and he racked 8,743 k's in 23 years in mlb, along with 702 wins :) And my rookie on the dodgers, Self named Bailey Davis, hit 47 home runs, 145 R.B.I.'s, a .423 batting avg, 65 sb's, 40 doubles, 260 hits, and was on the Home run derby, All star team, and recieved World Series mvp, N.L. mvp, and rookie of the year, and gold glove and silver slugger :)
Thanks for all the views and comments, I appreciate all the answers! Now you can view the follow up as I notched career K # 2000 some time ago and finally posted the video, see the video comments!
i have a pitcher that got drafted by the oriols then traded to the blue jays than picked up by the wight sox from free agency and he pitched a perfect game his first game as a member white sox
In Road to the Show, I played as a member as the Boston Red Sox for a few seasons, but I used interactions to complain to the manager about taking me out of the ballgame when I was two outs away from a complete game, and then he sent me to AAA.
Wow I don't remember... After a few seasons it's easy to get 250 strikeouts per year once you understand how everything works and you adapt to your set of pitches. Considering I didn't pitch full seasons the first couple of years, I'd say 6 or 7 seasons. No cheat though, I don't think you can cheat is RTTS anyway. And I didn't sim a single game. And I notched # 2000 a few days ago, expect a video some day!
Train in that stat category before it reaches 30 days. If I see that it says I have not trained in a category in 3 weeks then I immediately put training points towards it. When you are on the training screen then hit the R1 button and it will show you what needs training. Good luck
haha congrats! im just done with my rookie season and i just got brought up to AAA after my first year. i finished AA with 90+ strikeouts with the best whip and era of anybody else. i havnt even started my AAA season with the rangers. anyways good luck with your career.
lol yes well as you go by rosters change! I'm now in 2018 or something like that and you've got pujols playing the for the marlins and lincecum with the rockies. completely weird but funny... much less when the team you play for signs victor diaz as your CF for 8 years
today, whilst awaiting the video store i frequent to buy a copy of 09 the show for ps2, i decided to pop in 08, and make a pitcher. i always fizzled in the minors as a position player, so i decided to become a starter for the angels. i got offered a 140k 1 year AA bullpen contract, but i was placed in the rotation after a month with a 2-2 record and 2 holds. my rankings are a c in velocity, d in control, f in fielding, b in stamina, and an a in potential, any tips on how to fasttrack to the mlb

2 seamer (probably the best fastball in the game as it's very effective away against left-handed batters) slider, normal cuve (altho I'd probably chose the 12-6 now) splitter and sinker (both awesome pitch that get easy groundouts and low pitch counts) all of them fit my over the top delivery well, not the slider tho as when you go further into your carrier, it ends in a 90mph thing with not much break so i have to use it waay away of righties to get K's
Ditto. When I chose the Braves, there was the 2008 roster with their horrendous rotation (Smoltz Hudson Jurrjens and pray for rain) so I got up very quickly. Other than that, play every game and get as many training points as you can, use them on stamina and things that the coach wants you to improve...
