i was there on same day and did some filiming using my phone and a tom tom suction cup worked very very lovely clear pictures ,i was driving the black audi s4
I actually have one of those cameras, though yesterday I was using a Contour GPS, will be uploading some footage soon. No problem with the marshalls with it being suction mount?
@FlashBastd It was my first time at Cadwell. Yeah, I was in my gold 306.
What tyres were you using?
I was on R888's GG compound all round and had no issues until the rain, they are pretty worn out now though so it was to be expected.
I tend to hide the camera until im on-track then get the passenger to stick it on, the car has a big sun strip so the camera is barely visible where it hangs down beneath it.
I'm going to fabricate a proper mount for the camera for the next trackday.
@prism7guy I was running the same rubber as you, I bottled it when it got wet though. Any idea how many laps you did? I reckon I probably did about 63 in total.
Few too many closures yesterday really, but otherwise I had a great time.
I see you have been to Oulton by the looks of your other videos, how did it compare? That is somewhere on my "hit list", though I am so fond of Cadwell that it tends to be the default venue when I am booking a TD.
@FlashBastd Just before it rained i had swapped the wheels from left to right on my car to combat the extra wear on the left from all the clockwise circuits i have been on, so the tread was awful for the wet track.
I love Oulton but i think i prefer Cadwell now, Oulton is definitely worth a try though if you havent been before. I think TrackAction Online are doing a cheap one there in November, it was a good day out last year.
I did 160 miles on track, i havent worked out how many laps though.
@prism7guy Few more than me then, I did 155 miles, but that included a trip to Horncastle to fill up with VPower. Just a bit scared of the wet to be honest, went to a TD @ Blyton in June and it was too hot, weather yesterday was about perfect aside from the shower.
@prism7guy That guy in the Hyundai was a right prick. I was there that day in a clio cup and the cock spent most of his day not letting faster cars through. This was on the straights as well!!!
@FlashBastd The reason i ripped this bit of footage out was because a mate of mine who has just bought a clio sent me a couple of pictures of your car with me in the background so i assumed you know him.
The camera is on ebay, item number 320614563154. You'll also need a micro SD card too.
I have my camera attached to a tomtom suction mount which i stick on the windscreen.
think the renault came past me when the alfa 156 span directly in front of me

I have a thread on pistonheads, Readers Cars > Clio 197, posted some pics last night. I think you are behind me in one of the pics, gold 306?
Been to Cadwell a few times, really like it there, struggling with understeer a bit this time though. You been before?

That was me in the blue 197, really chuffed I found this, despite the fact I wasn't driving particularly good lines in some of the corners.
What camera were you using and where did you mount it?
