  • good lol ,. I like Radioactivity :D , lool :D

  • I have read that, your cat is so pretty...

  • I do love kittens....

  • I also don't have a cat. =P

  • Great vid series, but,...4 of 2, and 3 of 2 ?, I'm getting dizzy again, you weren't kidding when you said your maths wasn't very good. :)

  • lol nope no kidding. I originally only planned for there to be 2, but I kinda boxed myself in with that self-imposed limit there, so had to extend the series somehow even if it meant breaking the rules of mathematics. =D

  • It's clock dials and numerals, mostly numerals: they were just painted on cardboard, so I cut up the cardboard around each numeral and stacked them up one upon the other. I'm way too paranoid to try scraping it off or dissolving it, this was the least disturbing means of making a source out of it that I could think of.

  • try using isopropanol... wet a skalpel with it and scrape the paint off. no dusty bits due to that... then just let the isopropanol evaporate. after that, yer left with dust tho, not sure how to handle that properly. :-P

  • after you do that I would try spraying it with clear-coat acrylic spray to trap any dust particles.

  • that'd shield the alpha radiation, which would... suck.

  • hmm, good point, perhaps he could buy one of those thin mica shields on ebay fairly cheap, they allow alpha particles through due to their very low density. Any other ideas?

  • how did you make that a disc source? just put a watch hand inside, or did you scrape it off / dissolve it or something? o_O
