Man this song really got me in the the mood to kill something big when i first got the game.Because at first i was like how am i gonna kill these things and i saw this dude coming at me with a stone sword i was like crap then after being thrown off the cliff like 10 times i got mad as the music fueled meh rage and i turbo stabbed him!!!!

FF6, FF7, DQ or Grandia are RPGs. Secret of Mana, Zelda, Stoy of Thor, Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Soleil=Ragnacenty are not RPG, but Action RPG.

Shadow of The Colossus, is an Action RPG, like Zelda's serie. Action RPG no means experience. If Zelda is not an ARPG, so Soleil (=ragnacenty), Story of thor, Landstalker, Alundra, Okami are not. I think its strange to put Story of thor with, for instance, Tomb Raider (action adventure), than with Terranigma.

SoTC is an RPG. just a different style of RPG than final fantasy type games. Just like Dragon Age is a different style of RPG than Prince of Persia

It has no role playing elements. It's an action adventure. Prince of Persia is an action adventure. Dragon age is a RPG as is Final Fantasy. But Prince of Persia and Shadow of the Colossus are not.

I would consider Action Adventure as a form of RPG, simply because you are still putting yourself if in the position of the main character, which is basically what you do in RPGs.

Because there are no RPG elements bro. If what you said makes a game an RPG then EVERY game is an RPG and the fact that a game is an RPG becomes pointless. You make it out to be as special as calling a car a vehicle. A real RPG is a game where you do assume a role of a character, but you also undertake various different adventures and quests and your miscellaneous improve in statistical mechanics. That's what makes an RPG an RPG. SoTC is an action adventure. I love the game, though.

That would be the third. Y'know, that big humanoid guy with the absurd sword that hangs out on that giant pillar thing in the middle of that lake. Yeah, that guy.

This song only plays after you knock off the armor on his right arm that's blocking you way, though. Hence, "The Open Way." :)

The games (talking about Ico as well) are artistically minimal and visually desolate, you're meant to feel isolation.

dirge, harena tigris, the sand tiger. he's my second favorite :P what you have to do is ride around in circles with agro, use L2 to find dirge and ride close to him. make him follow you, and from that everything will be clear :P it's an epic battle!
