My hands have stiffened over the years of not playing at all, but I commend others who can keep it up. Still, BR (RIP) remains untouchable, and he makes everyone look pitiful by comparison.
@speedoflite1 The anniversary of Buddys death was last friday, April 2nd. He died of a brain tumor in 1980. Still, he survived quadruple bipass surgery and was out playing a few weeks after surgery. The best self taught drummer known to us, maybe. We owe him much appreciation!
Hi MapexRG, thanks for the "props". Yeah this was taken a few years back. I'm an Evans endorser and have newer heads on these drums now, I hate to change heads unless they really need it, These are G2 clears and they last a very long time for me.
I love the hat-snare interplay...plus I LOVE teaching your adv. funk studies to my students. We have loads of fun making those transcriptions and solos groove. Thanks for writing it....
