How do you target a younger audience when SG-1 was something KIDS (especially) were enjoying? I doubt toddlers or anyone younger than 12 would be any more interested in the character drama of SGU. My parents (both avid soap opera watchers) LOVE it.

@kirby28645 The average age demographic SG-1 and Atlantis were pulling in were people in their late 40s and early 50s, that's why there were so many Cialis commercials during the breaks. When they say a 'younger audience' they mean people in their 20s and 30s.

Still, that would be a fun idea, adding Ba'al into the mix. He was a great bad guy - the FUN kind of bad guy. A shame they didn't really get into him more before killing him off.

agh, i hate the ORI story line, becouse what is the ORI point. Why do they do what they do? The same goes for the goauld( or what ever).

Atleast the raith have sence. They need to kill to live, as simple as that. So i just dont get the other's. Are they like Hitler or something. Its like a 10000 Hitlers.

he was the best bad guy of stargate yet in my opion and dose anyone realy know the reason why they canceled stargat alantis was it a problem with the cast or just some idiot from mgm and scfi. i wonder if they are going to go with a alternate reality story line and if they are going to just combine sg1 and sga cast for the show i dont think they can sell a 20something cast . stargate dose not need sex apeal at all the story is to good if i want to see sex apeal ill go watch porn not stargate

i think the producers simply wanted to focus on Stargate Universe and therefore axed atlantis. which was a real pitty because they had finally restored the wraith to a decent villain and had a whole lot further to go in there adventures.

i just hope universe pays off. im gonna miss Mckay lol

i dont get why they would want to end alantis to push universe forward when they could have done a few more seasons of alantis unless their was a problem with the cast? the end of the show was rushed and seemed to me like it was done very suddenly. but we wont know until universe comes out.

i agree that they did water the wraith concept down until the last season and their is i think 2 movies on their way not sure tho

i hope Stargate World's is like SGA n SGC together. Becouse, if it goes like, their in the ship, and there is no contact with SGC or SGA, then it would **** ***!!!

no way did the gould suck but yeah the ori story line was weak at some points and the raith story line got messed up when they started being all friendly unlike when alantis got started they were ruthless and a scary foe . gould was a almost perfect concept except for some of the concepts like the glowing eyes and the 3 zat rule but you got to think how old this show really is and thier budget back then.

He is sooo right. i rally do hope that some of the actors from SG1 & SGA appear on universe. And I also could never really picture a bunch of 20 yr olds being experienced enough to be on a ship in space.
