I prefer listening to Zep studio versions rather than live ones because i find the performances rather sloppy. That is just MY opinion...i have no problem with agreeing to disagree.
I saw Led Zeppelin in the 70's. They'd play three hour sets, Jimmy Page getting sweatier and sweatier, improvising throughout and their energy never flagging. They were fantastic!
I was born too early. I have to live with the fact that I will never be able to see Zeppelin live. Fuck. At least I've had the privilege of meeting Jason Bonham.

there will never EVER be a band like led zeppelin and the ones that ruled during the 60s and 70s. we are simply past that style of music and it is too bad. I'm 16 btw. ;)
Did someone just mention Gruhak from Dubrovnik, Hrvatska? That band, whom I just discovered only a month ago, is the BEST cover band I have ever heard in all my 40+ years! They can bloody play ANYTHING!
When I heard this first song for the very first time Plant's voice was enough to wake up virginal untouched space inside my body - oh the thoughts that raced as I stood stock still glued to that place ... God forgive me but the voice - it still moves me.
@LedZeppQueenBeatles ive been worshipping the lads since i was 8. they have brought salvation to my life and saved me from the sins of following false idols
seriously, guys, how could such a band be born as Zeppelin?! How could such a perfect man be born as Robert? I LOVE him!!!! His hair, his voice, his everything... fuck that I wasn't born in the 60s he would have had such a great grupie then... XD
You can grow up, raised by ANYONE, and be influenced by as many friends, family, or acquaintances you can think of. The fact is, there has never been a band as all-encompassing, and pure as the Zep. If you haven't found them, gone through the discography, and truely experienced all facets of this band, there is only one thing you can tell yourself............................ Nobody's Fault but Mine. Thanks for the videos ! Keep Zeppelin alive forever. They deserve it.
This is the song I always show people when they tell me they've never really heard Zeppelin. Thus far I've brought about half a dozen people into the Rock N' Roll family.
@LilWayneMetalGod you sound very ignorant. lil wayne doesn't make music...he's just a rapper. so if you wanna call somebody a god of music...make sure that it's an actual MUSICIAN. either way....Led Zeppelin was the shit.

Led Zeppelin is the biggest rock band ever!! There are many songs that I love, but that one right there take me right back when I heard zeppelin for the first time, It's a explosion of lisergic guitar and the hammer of John Bonham. From that day on I became crazy and a drummer, but you know.. is nobody's fault by mine!
Enjoy the memorires I just took my Gibson Flying V in today and have it set up again I'm 52 but I will play the bounder again and as far as Knebworth went I was 21 and married and still am lol, enjoy the moment man.
Totally agree - I am 50 now the same, and went the first week 4th August 79, and look back with great fondness, it captured a time that cannot compare to anything else. Oh to do it all again!

When I first heard this song (studio version), I was laying down on my bed, in the dark with my eyes closed, totally baked. During the guitar intro, I could see each note appear as a horizontal flash of light across my field of vision. Low notes appeared in the lower part of my vision, while higher notes appeared towards the top. It was like my own personal light show in my head.
Earlier that night, I was hanging out at my friends apartment, smoking weed out of a tin can. He had a stack of cds laying around and I asked him who led zeppelin was, and he let me borrow them. That night changed my life forever. That was ten years ago. Needless to say, this song is very special to me.
