  • Have you EVER heard of SPELL CHECK!!!!!

  • tehee :3

  • Soups up.

  • doesnt work in beta 1.8, but i still must say this farm is pro!

  • æ subbe deg fordi du e norsk :D

  • AEROSMITH FUCK YEAH!

  • Norsk? :D

  • @DragonDarkCool yep ;)

  • You have a good base idea but it could be done better. The editing was also rather annoying.

  • @OMGyouAREaTWAT what was annoying about the editing? :p

  • @TB674 Sorry I should have given a better description at the time.

Some of the text disappears quickly.

There are a few places you just cut to the next step when it would be helpful to have a birds-eye view of the current step first.

  • @OMGyouAREaTWAT OK, thanks for feedback ;)

I guess it doesn't really matter when notch nerfs creative farms and instead go for planting them everywhere in swamp biomes and even in mushroom biomes. AND he makes them farmable with bone meal.

On top off that he makes them non stackable. so mushroom is no longer a hard to get, but very good food type. instead something that is spammed everywhere and worse than porkchop.

  • Could you tell me your render settings?

  • @InsaneBeagle go to the user "sosolid2kk" and look at the info sidebar to the left. scroll down and you'll find a guide to rendering videos. I'm using those settings ;)

I know it's for runescape but it doesn't really matter :p

  • @TB674 I saw they were for runescape on your Planet Minecraft forum post. These really look good though. Thank you!

  • Mushroom stews here i come

  • EPIC! IMMA USE THAT.

  • This will not be as effective in 1.8. A better way to do it is make every second seed-row only rocks, so mushrooms can't grow there, and in the remaining seed rows, fill every second block with stone, this is because mushrooms can't grow as efficiently as before, if you do this, then the whole farmed will be filled, instead of just half of it. But it will take a little bit longer than before. Thumb this up so everyone can see and get the most of their farms!

  • @TheCarcityh

make a tut on it then ill thumbs up.....

  • @draggy76 Actually, it doesn't work at all. Building a farm this way will get you 5 - 15 shrooms depending on how big it is (we're talking 10*20*40 big to get that amount) because of the way mushrooms work. if there's more than 5 mushrooms within a 6*6*3 area of a mushroom, it won't grow, so technically, the best way to create mushroom farms, would be to make a small room, with a single mushroom in it, and let it spread, and just make a lot of these rooms (harvesting using water).

  • This will be useful. have a nice day.

  • shame this is useless with giant mushrooms now.

  • @CircleJerks2009

This farm has 2 really good things:

1 - You don't have to get bonemeal to get giant mushrooms.

2 - You don't have to "chop" the mushrooms 1 by 1. you can just collect them by standing on the right spot.

Conclusion; this aint useless at all ;)

  • @waffiewaffel yay :D i like positive feedback! :)

  • @TB674

    haha no problem ;)

going to make it on the minecraft server I play on now :D

  • @waffiewaffel cool, can i join ? :) I'm bored ^^

  • @TB674

    why not? :D

    IP: 94.75.245.138

just ask for "waffie" if I aint online.

  • @waffiewaffel I would agree with you on that... only... Giant mushrooms is one of the cooler things added with this update. taking out the fun of harvesting with automation is kind of pointless, because most of these wacky machines are made in creative mode anyway.

  • @CircleJerks2009 you only harvest them with bone meal anyway, and doing one thing over and over again isn't fun...

I wish they only grew on mycelium tbh, that would make a lot more sense.

  • 5:12 MOOOJAAAANG... scared the hell out of me...

  • Can it b made with 1 or2 pistons per floor. Also, about how many items per hour will 5 floors get

  • @Ryanfriedman96 I don't know, why don't you test it yourself ? :D

  • @FreerunFail sant de :D

  • 41 GB.

    Let me guess fraps? XD

  • @GLaDOS567 yep :D

all my fraps files took up 300 gb. but i compressed them with sony vegas, and now it's 20.4 :)

  • I loled at the amount of mushrooms. Mario envies you!

  • @FlippedSided I wonder how big he would be if he ate them all :D

  • This was funny. No more redstone! :D Good job!

  • You must die a lot if you need that many mushrooms:D Nice tutorial but I think I stay with my semi automatic one(I don't need that many mushrooms anyway).

  • @bbruinenberg It was my first time using it so i had no idea how many i would get :D maybe I'll have some more use for it in 1.8 :) especially if it's stackable.

  • A buddy of mine and I tried this. I'm guessing the water is supposed to pop them off the cobble? Doesn't work for us. Also, how does the the farmer automatically grow more, if the water pops them all off?

  • @YourXboxClown Neevermind. Didn't understand how exactly it was supposed to work..you left out a lot at the end. We also made it so that the water automatically starts/stops/starts/stops. That way no one has to flip buttons/levers.

  • @YourXboxClown what's the point with that? i got over 1054 mushrooms on one harvest. all those mushrooms lying on the floor just makes it lagg. and you can download the world file if you want. it's in the description.

  • good

  • damn i need more redstone for this :'(

  • @BlueDragon1194 mine sum, and don't cheat ;D

  • OH MY GOD, THANK YOU!!! This is the ONLY mushroom farm tutorial that has made ANY sens to me. Plus it'll get rid of all that spar redstone!

  • NOEM NOAR REDSTONNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEE D:

  • a real fun tutorial to watch

    good job

  • 0:27 sounds like shit hitting the water lol

  • Very nice video, the instructions are very helpful. Can you help me with this:

when I create a couple of layers, how do I connect all redstone torches to one lever? I think I did everything correct: the redstone torches are lined up vertically with 1 cobble in between.

  • @differens you just connect to the block under the torch at the bottom. when that block gets power it will send the signal up to the torches which will active the redstone.

  • @TB674 thank you! I can't believe it's so simple.

  • @differens ni problema Martin ;)

  • how do the mushrooms spread to the water canal areas when there are blocks blocking it from the second layer? it looks like the starter mushrooms are being blocked in. does it still work?

  • @Kinestine10 YEP :D it works perfectly!

  • excuse me, does anyone know why the mushrooms pop off when I put a block next to them, did they happen to you? Can i fix this? thanx

  • @DJRickinson they will pop up if any blocks around them updates AND they have light level 12 or more. just put your torches in a little distance from the mushrooms.

torches is light level 14, so you only need to be 3 blocks away from it :p unless you are making it in daylight!

  • Something i found out: How to save a little on redstone: Don't have to invert it. If you put solid blocks below each piston it will do 2 layers of pistons for every torch. Thus you don't have to invert the current every other layer, nor do you have to wire every other layer (the layer you will have to do the inverse of).

  • @gamemaster1494 wow, that's a great idea! have you tested to see if it works?

  • @Gmac3003 Then get on a server with Redstonechip's integrated make a clock for every 30 minutes and let it go off... we count this as automatic because it does the collecting for you, when u WANT it to.

  • Comment removed

  • @Twisted1357 if you want the lever to the pickup place. you can of course use repeaters to extend the power ;)

  • 8:07 i lol'd

  • @Twisted1357 redstone travels 15 blocks :)

  • does making the ceiling taller make it more eficiant

  • @jeffreyk215 probably not ^^

but it makes building it a lot harder!

  • The redstone part was hilarious

  • one of the only how to's vids ive been really entertained by

  • @D4vsto wow, thanks man ;)

  • @TB674 :O DU E NORSK

  • @D4vsto yep :D

  • This is not automatic, it's semi.

  • Its alot faster to build above ground.

Now i have a fully automatic Drug farm :D

  • @Tacobell5811 i know, i was going to do it first, but it's so ugly with big cube buildings made entirel out off cobblestone ;)

  • ignore that first not down thar C:

  • u should probly tell people not what lvl to not dig below >.< i dug to the level of the highest bedrock only to find out it needed to to be atleast 2 levels higher for water and redstone tracks to work xD heheh good farm tho!

  • So much simpler then mine... Mine gets a little over 600 though, but you have to walk around and pick them up. The water destroys them you just have to pick them up, Anyways good video.

  • @iTzTriky thanks ;) and i got 900 on one harvest recently :D

  • Woh! I just pressed E on accident and then his inventory came up XD at first I was like "...." cus I thought I was playing... and then I was like, "wait im watching a video, HOLY JESUS"

    good times...... good times.... lol

  • @Gmac3003 hmm... maybe some pressure plates at the pickup place? :D

  • okay, so I'm making my own... how do you hold back the water if you invert it every level?

  • @nire46 nevermind, figured it out.

  • @nire46 okay :D upload a video if you want ;)

  • @TB674 haha, I would, but I have no clue how to go about recording it, what did you use?

  • @nire46 i used fraps, pirated ;) just remember to render with sony vegas. or else it will take forever to upload :D

  • hahaha, nice touch with the kill bill theme

  • very nice farm, and not a bad tutorial

  • If you keep the lever on(water flowing), will you still get the mushrooms? I really hope so, then I can just afk for some hours and have a inventory full of mushrooms. I'll be stocked with mushroom stew for life. =D

  • @fruityboy08 no they wouldnt grow, but you could set it on a loooong redstone clock, and then do it

  • @fruityboy08 i tested this again, and i got over 900 mushrooms on one harvest. i got like 2 fps o.o

    you don't need anymore :)

  • @fruityboy08 No you can't, shrooms can't grow in water.

  • omg redstone part made me laugh

  • @HappyRage96 oh ok

  • i have a hour long clip, 234kb. haha.

  • oh cute, you guys made that water together! team work hurray!

  • @KRA3030 "It's guy love, between two guys!"

  • afked or hacked because that would b like a week for all those mushrooms

  • @kokorules7 it was just 30 minutes afking ;)

  • thats nothing

    I got 10gb of raw files for a 6 min vid :))

    really , with fraps

  • @xXmahriXx and i have 41 gb of raw files for a 8 min vid :s

    and i used fraps.

  • what program do you use for editing?

  • @svaem sony vegas 10 ;)

  • Nice work guys =)

But thanks a lot :D minecraft is more fun in vanilla, you just gotta think off stuff to do! ;)

  • AMAZING!

  • awesoem video. thanks, but just TOO fast after placing the mushrooms

  • @liamferm i wanted to keep this tutorial as short as possible :D

  • really good tutorial! :D and you are on minecraft wiki (:

  • @arnocardon thanks :)

  • SICK! You're amazing for doing this! I went to a chateau in France recently, and they said that after digging out quarries, they built mushroom farms in the old quarries, which is what I was doing. But the only problem I had was that there wasn't any good tutorials (that I knew of) for building a mushroom farm, and now YOU have helped me SOOO MUCH THANK YOU :D

Oh an btw, you're on the minecraft wiki ;)

  • @Sugarhue123 haha :D thanks a lot for the nice comment :D

    makes me happy :)

  • hallo du er norsk! nice video.

my user on minecraftforum is liamf91

  • Quite an Amazing construction. It looked very cool. Really liked that the movie was 41 gb :D

But here is a protip if you want people to watch this rename the video. I didn't understand what this video was about before I saw it. It isn't even a tag or a description that shows what this video is about. But anyway lots of cred to you an Fanta for making this :D

  • @Harldi1 shit, i forgot to click on "save changes" when i uploaded it. i named it that when i rendered it from sony vegas, because i was so sick off editing. it took a lot off time!

  • @Harldi1 if you want, you can help us next time we're going to do something big on my save :D

  • @TB674 Sure it would be cool to help! I can even cook some Mushroom Souce for you !

  • @Harldi1 that would help a lot! because we're going to make a mob trap. souce is very important then.

  • repeat steps 1 -5 until you have way more then you need.
