@sspphhiinnxx To be honest I'm not completely sure how the stabilizing is. I haven't used the camera in a while, and I was really shitty at shooting handheld at the time. I 've never used that cam from Sony, I feel that the stabilizing isn't somethign that should make or break a camera if the picture quality is excellent, you can always stabilize with a tripod right?
@Wickiam of course ur point is very RIGHT. but you know when your walking and wanting to shoot. at that time a specific tripod should be avaliable or maybe a skateboard and somebody push u so that u take a steady moving shoot. thats why a stabilizer helps to make shooting stable. anywayz thanks, im already intreasted more now in hv20 and hv30 or 40 i hope il get anyone soon :)
@sspphhiinnxx Of course, but i was shooting very awfully at that time, like tripping over my own feet. Regardless, having a good image stabilizer is always a huge plus like you mentioned. That's good, the HV series is great, but keep in mind DV tapes can become a hassle and you have to capture everything real time.
If youre going to spend the money why not go the video DSLR route, liek with the canon t1i?
@Wickiam yeah raelly your makin me think of it , i mean i already htough of canon 550D it has full HD which is amazing. plus i could use it for the PHOTOGRAPHY as well which is great.........hmmmmmmmm maybe il check that out. and yeah a tripod would solve it all. are u using any DSLR ?
@sspphhiinnxx I'm actually in the process of buying a 550d. I think for the price, it's the best bang for your buck. It's also like a mini 7D, which is a beaut of a camera.
@Wickiam oh could u explain what u mean by DV tapes can become a hassle and you have to capture everything real time, becauase i really felt strange about dv tapes. but i think u could use the memory cards too right?
7D is very expensive :( no way for me to get it now..
@sspphhiinnxx mini DV tapes are the primary method of recoridng on the HV series of canon cameras. They typically can only hold 30 minutes of tape. YOu can use memory cards on the 40 i think, but I'm not sure how good the transfer is.
The 7D is indeed very expensive, but like i was saying the t2i 550d is like a mini 7D, not as good, but it has quite a few of the same features and quality.
i can tell by your response to my constructive criticism that you take whatever is fed to you. you get your head shoved into the couch and your shit pushed in eh bitch? you should hand the picture machine over to your sis
very usefull.

i dunno if what im gona say is rigth or not
but if the stabilizer is on and its too shaky like this
then i dont recommend it :S i mean the stabilizing in hdr xr550v SONY is way better , gives a real steady shot .
what do u think ?

What did you use to import the .mts video files into windows with?
TheInterwebzGuy 1 year ago
@TheInterwebzGuy I just take it right off the harddrive. Drag and drop into a folder. Vegas handles the file format fine.
