Might I suggest changing the lyric from "make a fucking choice" to "fucking make a choice"? My reasoning is that the first puts an "uh" on the strongest note in the line/motif, whereas the second puts a more open vowel there which naturally gets the singer to project more, which would help bring the intensity up towards the coming climax. Then, what do I know, I'm a Jerry Herman-ite, whereas you're more Sondheim/LaChiusa/ Wildhorn?-esque, so it may just be beyond my comprehension.
