this game is marginal at best. when you get right down to it:

-there is NOT costomization

-no damage model/driving problems besides smoke

-there is nothing to do besides go forward

-the vehicles have no controls (and all handle the same) besides steering, i.e. stunting, horn, etc.

-only 2 or 1 so vehicles per class?!

this game looks realy awsome, but my PC sucks so i don´t think it can handle a such big world with so good graphics... so i have to buy a 360. and i hope there is very few bugs and glitches. then FUEL will rule!

man codemasters have come along way since i first played their games on my old ZX Spectrum in the mid 80's. it was 2 brothers, and at that time they were about 14yrs old when they made thier first game. respect to them!

you are right. i have been hardcore racing game player since NFS and Gran Turismo and I say hats off to Codemasters for GRID - it is THE best racing game I've ever played. I was getting sick of crawling slowly in Gran Turismo, and cars "bouncing" off of each other. You really feel the speed in this game. The only game that was faster than this was Burnout but unfortunately they ruined the series with Burnout Paradise.

I found the physics kind of awful in grid, you barely have to break. Also, with the in car view, the guys arms are so twitchy, surely they could have done better than that.

Isn't the point of video games, and specifically racing games, to win by the skin of your teeth? It's not supposed to be a walk in the park.

I liked GRID more, even though DIRT, in my opinion was more of a challenge, the reason I liked GRID more than Dirt is because of the Online Multiplayer, and the Circuit Racing, which I prefer over Rally type games.

Both great games to play though, and they both look visually stunning.
