  • The part around 2:45, it's maybe where Beavis and Butthead got the idea for the great cornholio.

  • here are the lyrics:: do do do-e do do do-e do do do-e do do do do-e do do do a ha

  • Wonderful track...

  • These guys are Dutch and in the 70s this was a pretty big hit. There is a video on youtube that was recorded live from a show called Midnight Special. I remember watching that show when these guys were introduced. I never heard of them before that. They kinda looked European. They started playing and I thought they had a really rocking sound. Then the singer started yodeling. Yodeling! I thought that was so fricken cool. At the end they got a standing ovation. I bought the 45 a few days later.

  • yoddle oddle oddle oddle bitches!

  • guitar solo, drum solo, flute sole, yodelling solo... EPIC

  • it was the theme tune to saxondale staring steve coogan.

  • First heard this song in a taunt kills movie lol

  • 5 People dont know how to. . . ROCK ON!:D <3

  • never heard this song till Alice Cooper played it.

  • I love this song. Had forgotten all about it until I came across it here. Definitely rates up there with the likes of "Larks Tongue In Aspic, Part III" and "One Of These Days" as far as instrumentals go.

  • 2:38 - quagmire?

  • absolute mad genius..

  • Wonder if the flautist was friends with JT's Ian Anderson?

  • LOL

  • I got here after watching the nike world cup commercial . weird.....

  • I played this song just for the 10 sec. of awesomness at 2:37 SOMEBODY MAKE A LOOP OF THAT PART :D

  • 2:37 ctfu XD !

  • Wow!!! Hard to believe this came out almost 40 years ago. This is what Classic Rock should be!!!

  • Shame about the bloody awful yodling.

Try listening to 'Blitzkrieg' by Blitzkrieg, the intro is very similiar to this, this came first by the way...

  • 2:37 after popeye hits the riods to much :D

  • THIS IS WHAT THE GODS WERE WHISTLING WHEN THEY CREATED OUR SOLAR SYSTEM.

  • I rememer hearing this song back in Junior High it got a lot of air play out her in Southern California radio. Best noise I ever heard!

  • @TheLittleDevilRox I typed in focus hocus pocus... because that's even funnier.

  • Dem drums.

    Dat yodelling.

    Dat guitar.

    Dat flute.

    Dat song!

  • Oh god so much effor to find this FINALLY AWESOME SONG !!!

  • This still isn't the true version of the song. The vocals at 2:40, the flute/vocals at 4:20, and the whistling behind the accordion at 5:00 should ALL be full volume, not way off in the distance. Just thought you guys should know, there's a better version.

  • @UTcommando help me find it... thanks

  • "Doon ding doon ding dum dugga dugga ding ding dah, eich but ei dug digga digga doon ding da-doon ding daew, but dagga do ding, eoh eoh ee eh eh, eh, n-do, d-d-ding doh dah ding daew, dagi dagi dun dun dang dut daew, dut dugga dugga dah duh, EOW EHH WHH WHO HE HEE HA HAW, AH HE HAW RRRRRRR"

  • @Beneaththesurface17 Blew me away, knew right off, this weren't no American Band....Had to be smokin' sumptin' bettern than homegrown...'course 'm talkin' '71 or2,damn kid...

  • Actually, the "vocals" are a style of singing called "vocalese"! If you're going to make fun of someone, you might want to check your facts beforehand! ^_-

  • can i have the lyrics?

  • This is blasting through the canyons on a beast while tightly holding on for dear life to the man I love music.

  • Awesome vocals, awsome riff, just sitting dazed in front of my computer x)

  • It's sort of like Queen meets Led Zeppelin as sung by a high guy living in the Alps, amazing.

  • @judewishedhimselfout

it has such rory gallagher feel to it too.. epic !!

  • @judewishedhimselfout this is more like led zeppelin meets fredl fesl, a hilarious solo entertainer/musician. you should look up his "königsjodler" if you know what's funny :D

  • I heard this song on the radio earlier today and i couldnt stop laughing... awewsome song, the mixture of the insane solos and yodeling make it a very new idea.

  • 2:36 through 2:52 is my reason for being here. xD

  • Rock on with the pan flute

  • I remember this song fom my childhood. The yodeling is distincive.

  • I have the lyrics if you want them. Unfortunately, they're all in Dutch. :)

  • @vinnycriss Nederlands rule!

  • Interesting record sleeve cover, the two guys in the middle would have left by late 1970, and they would not have recorded on Moving Waves, this is a photo from 1969 early 1970 with Marten Dresden on bass and Hans Cleuver on Drums.

  • 2 people have no conscience...

  • i need the lyrics for this song!!! :D

  • 0.o

  • I use to have this song on a K-Tel 70's Compilation Record back in the day. I practically wore it out cause I played it so much.

  • good job.

  • Rock Opera!!!!!!

  • this song gave two people a REALLY bad acid trip.

  • @1969420 how could that ever happen? If you see this song performed you might explode because he is so animated. Not sure anyone can have a bad trip to this, unless they are around a bunch of stiffs...but that has nothing to do with the song. Maybe thumbs down because they like really bad music:)

  • @katrastrophy haha no im just saying because there are two "dislikes". but no i feel you. i showed this to my chick while we were trippin and i felt like a could massacre an entire persian army lol

  • @1969420

lol,you know I was thinking today.Imagine having youtube 10-15 years ago. That would have been great, might have been easier hearing stuff you might not have otherwise, simply because you do not have access to it. What a seriously awesome idea to have access to so much music. Some real hard to get and rare stuff here. Too bad record labels are so greedy when you consider the free advertising:) keep it real man.

  • 2:37 - spongebob?
