  • Pre-workout shake: I want something quick to blend.

Post-workout shake: I add fruit and stuff.

Does 100% Weigh Protein (VANILLA) taste good if you just blend it with milk or water?

  • @WeGottaSituationGTL it tastes better with skimmed milk.

  • can you plz help me im 8 half stone and i eat like

mad and i tryed that 5 meals a day for 2week

and then had to stop cos it was costing to much money

and i dint gain anything onley about 1pound what els can i do?

  • @mossman2012 how old are you?

  • What flavor of Protein Powder do you recommend for this shake? thanks!!

  • @PermanentlyLost Vanilla

  • can u take it if u dont work out?

  • @WorldSnipin you can for breakfast as an example but you still need to watch portion control.

  • How many times a day should one consume protein shakes? The directions on the Jar that I have says to consume once daily, but I see people drinking it more than once...

  • @abdulios if you work out every day then sure one a day. Don't forget after each workout you actually only need the equivalent of an egg or tuna sandwich so if you don't wanna bulk up cut down on the amount of protein powder in the scoop.

  • @omikeyz K thanks a lot!

  • Is it good for y age??.. Im 16... I do cardio and sometimes lift wights... I take whey isolate.. do you have any advices ?? I just want to have a better body not extremely bulk up... Im 5'11 and weight 147 pounds!!

  • @micky95galar yes it is good for you providing you don't have large scoops. As per a comment below, if you have it every day after a workout you might just want half a scoop or less. I'd only recommend a full scoop if you really want to bulk up.

  • I've got a comment about whey protein since it seems to be the most popular supplement these days, it's not good for you and you're probably saying it comes from milk so how is it not good for you

Milk is 20% whey and 80% casein, in a scoop of whey let's say there's 30 grams of whey, in 250 ml or a cup of milk there's about 7 grams of protein, meaning that 1.4 grams of that is whey, that's about 21 glasses of milk in one shot, do you think that's good for you

  • @ImCollinMonroe This is an excellent question and in other videos I have constantly recommended lower portions than what the companies tell you unless you're some body builder. i.e. The protein powder I use recommends a 30g scoop... I'm only a marathon runner not a body builder and so I have an 8g scoop, big difference eh. I've also said in another video after a 45min work out in the gym you only need the equivalent of an egg or a tuna sandwich. Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

  • How does that Protein powder work for you is it good?

  • @evolvedsniping for me it's my daily breakfast and has been for years, more than 10 years

  • can you take it depending on your age? please reply! :)

  • @A7xMetalMulisha How old are you thinking? like a child, otherwise unless you're pregnant or have some other condition in moderation there is nothing wrong with it providing you examine closely the ingredients and see what the sweeteners are.

  • Right I need to buy that whey protein shake over here in England, ermm how long should that last you? isit best to have shakes twice a day? If you don`t take shake`s during the week leaving odd day`s out will it interfere with anything? Like building muscle lean or? Thank`s for any feedback! : )

  • @01thrilla I have it once a day but only a 9g measure not the 30g they recommend as i'm not a muscle building person like you see on entertainment shows. I use a different brand now without any chemical sweeteners. There is nothing wrong with missing a shake but I have mine for breakfast as it's the most important meal of the day.

  • I take whey protein before i go to bed and right when i wake up in the morning on rest days. is that alright?

  • @kill3rcr3w depends how much you workout. I usually do 3 times a day of 24g protein isolate; as a snack at 5:30, 7:30 as preworkout and 9:30 b4 sleep. Body cant take too much protein at one go bro, allegedly they say it turns some of it to glucose and it does actually shock your kidney if you use isolates( it's fast). try and split it. but urs is ok

  • excelent shake...

  • @balboa455 glad you like it. thanks for the comment.

  • Wow the oats with the protien shake looks like my new fav breakfast before this I didn't even realize I could be eating this instead of an unhealthy breakfast!! Thanks!!

  • @sikniz213 yeah it's different but I use another shake today.

  • very nice video. i think it will help me...

  • @msheob99 thanks for that, i've uploaded a few others since then that contain psyllium husk which I use today to maintain my weight.

  • very nice cant wait to make it !! after the fitness :P:P

  • @KH132 I haven't done this one for ages, hope you like it. I just do other stuff now.

  • what is museli?

  • @VillalobosC9 Breakfast (oats and fruit)

  • 1:17 ferrari

  • What are we watching on TV? LOL

  • @LifeOfTheParty323 No idea, sounds American:-)

  • Maybe you live in sanfransisco

  • @SpartanForgeWorld300 nope, Australia.

  • @omikeyz i was joking because of all the noises the blender made.

  • I hear a train and a car

  • @ioniordachi you might have done, I lived right by a rail line when i made that video.

  • i did the most stupid thing ever.. i just bought these today at GNC..

i just poured the powder and added cold water and shake it bare hands and took a sip.. it was soo bitter.. o well.. lesson learned.. haha.. thanks for the vid man.. ^_^

  • @DRUMSTUDDZ You can get plastic shakers that work well, I have one at work. Personally i prefer with skimmed milk.

  • What flavour protein did you use??

  • @chriscraig06 Hi, then it was vanilla.

  • @omikeyz Bought some today so much nicer than chocolate!!

  • @chriscraig06 let me know how you get on.

  • how many calories does skim milk have/protein gs?

  • But will it blend?

  • okay good but woooooo with the ingredients

  • @BREEZAR428 it's okay once in a while if you do long run (like 25k) and you're hungry. Just for a change, certainly not every day. thanks for the feedback.

  • kool but i usually add oat meal for more carbs the shake looks good ill try it

  • @SuperYellowdolphin this was done 3 years ago. Today I go running and as i want to keep my weight from going up I add psyllium husk, and a few other bits and only 11g protein powder. Thanks for the feedback.

  • man it doesnt taste great but it it actually works thanx

  • @mrslapahoesilly1 thanks, that was what i did 3 years ago but i have a new one now, still with powder but fills you up, my biggest problem! contains psyllium husk, there might be a link on the video, if not message me. it only contains 10g protein powder now today.

  • No, but I will definitely look more into it, I am really focused on getting healthy and losing the weight

  • I am having good success with meal replacement shakes to lose weight - i especially love them in the morning

  • @lauraleiproperties That's very good to hear. Have you seen the shake with Psyllium Husk, it really does work, i use it today and have done for the last ?6 months or so.

Thanks for taking the time to comment.

  • I thought you live in Australia becuase i have the same protein powder. Do you live in Melbourne

  • @killzone474 yes, I don't use that one anymore since 3 years ago, i use a new one from Vitaminme.

  • Nice ..:) i like that shake :D

  • @Skater95hooligan it was good then, specially if you don't have breakfast but i only have about 12-13g of protein per shake now to keep any excess weight off.

  • @omikeyz ok , looks really good:)

    high-tech mixer:): D

    from 1 -? :D 100?:D

    Power mixer :)

  • @Skater95hooligan it's just a regular blender, nothing special. had it years!!!!!!

  • @omikeyz okay ... aah .. i have one questions .... what protien you have in the viedeo ( right cann see the protein box) ?

(sry my englisch is well :D i´m german boy from NRW ^^ )

    :)

  • @Skater95hooligan - okay, don't take any notice of that container, it contained a sweetener that is not recommended and the company refused to discuss it. I use an ISO Whey protein with albumen in it. (egg) and as i'm not doing a lot of running at the moment i have 13grammes a day.

  • @omikeyz Okay :)

I take every day one egg in my shaker with milk and Schoko pulver.

    Yesterday,i buy a Anabolic PEAK ... i hope for a good product :)

    greetz*

  • Wtf! Lol that thing sounds like it has a V8

  • @vegito2k7 haha seriously!

  • what happens if you take p.shake but dont weight lift - im real skinny i just wanna gain weight really

  • @ukurbanfarmer obviously the more protein powder drinks you have the more weight you will put on BUT if you don't work out the protein will only be used for energy and stored as fat instead of helping you to rebuild muscle.

  • @omikeyz ok im getting a 1.2KG maxi muscle - i dont really care about muscle i just want to gain what ever weight i can - so will me not weight lifting but drinking p.shake make me gain weight/fat ?

  • @ukurbanfarmer yes you will put on weight. I noted you were in your 20s on your profile, you'll probably start bulking out a bit more towards late 20s and your diet will contribute to this. As with any supplement you take you need to know what is in it for good health later on in life. good luck.

  • @lay4life if you think milk is bad for you what protein powder are you using? there must be millions of men that are ill !

  • Can you put fresh milk inside instead of water??

  • @lay4life Yes and considering most protein shakes are made from whey (milk product) it won't make much difference.

  • i made a my first shake this morning I used milk and the protiene powder and it tasted realy bad

I don't own a blender, should I get one to blend fruit with the milk and powder to make it tasty

  • @system0Fhonor Any blender or mixer is going to give you a better result to mix the protein powder with the milk/water. I use a shaker at work but an electric blender gives a smoother shake.

  • hey should you take one while working out and right before bed if you workout at night just about 4 hours before you sleep or less? also about how many times should you take it in a day about every 3-4 hours with tuna and chicken breasts as a meal?

  • @jbird9393 Not 100% sure b4 a workout as i wouldn't want to throw up. but yeah immediately after (is what i have read) and I do have them b4 bed sometimes with blueberries. If you're having chicken and fish I would skip the protein shake. BTW, watch the tuna intake per day because of the mercury content.

  • @omikeyz alright thanks but whats the best way to put on muscle while tryin to get a 6 pack?

  • @jbird9393 obviously lose enough weight to see your 6 pack and eat a healthy diet and do the right abs workout. (there are quite a few on YouTube) I do situps/crunches for core strength which helps with running.

  • @jbird9393 eat foods with high amounts of protein, and foods with a lot of carbohydrates, carbs, and vegetables and fruit.

  • @MindofaJedi i've never heard anything so ridiculous to remove skimmed milk from my diet. You clearly don't do marathon running and so you don't know the stress your bones are under. What do you think Whey protein is?

  • where do you buy whey protein in Canada,Brampton?

  • where do you buy whey protein in Canada,Brampton?

  • ahh cool, thanks a lot

  • i was just wondering, what if u use milk instead of water? wouldn't that give a bit more of protein? just wondering

and when should u consume protein shakes? can u drink them even though u have not worked out a lot or at all in a day, so u can get some of your daily protein?

  • @99klii hi, I have one every day for breakfast, currently with ground flaxseed, ground sunflower kernels and ground sesame seed. I understand for body building you should consume them immediately after a workout.

Having shakes with milk slows down the absorption of the protein but I always have mine with skimmed milk powder anyway... plus the protein is whey protein so having with milk really isn't going to make a huge difference.

Sometimes i'll have a shake before bed. Read the guide.

  • @omikeyz thanks a lot, ill try drink milk at breakfast and before going to bed xD

  • looks good and healthy

  • do these help with building up muscles?

  • @phippgeo yes of course

  • yes

  • what flavour is your whey protein?

i don't think there's any neutral flavour available?

  • Vanilla i use now. there is also a new one i've uploaded recently, i put in flaxseed, the reason for this is for extra fibure that fills you up and stops you feeling hungry after a long run and omega 3 and 6. Thanks for the message.

  • @trappedsoul7 plain flavour would be milk. it's a bit boring drinking 300mls of it or more.

  • want a real good protein shake ?

mix 1.5 cups of orange juice'

    one scoop of STRAWBERRY protein

    one half of a banana

    a couple ice cubes

and you have a delicious protein shake !

  • would'nt that be very acidic with the orange juice in there?

  • not at all. its very fruity and delicious.

it has lots of vitamin c and b also.

  • orange juice has too much sugar

  • if your really worried about calories and sugar, my trainer said to use minute maid lite.

  • you're right about the sugar and it's worse if it's fructose.

  • 2Bananas 1Mango 12oz Milk 2Eggs 2 Scoops Whey Protien ..

  • I'm doing that NOw.

  • how does it mix compared to a shaker cup

  • omg, u shuld cut the apples more, it will take shorter that time :D

  • muy liquido se va por el orina

  • i like taking my shakes with milk instead o water tastes muc better and i get more calcium, then ill just drink some water later.

  • I believe many drinks say use water as they are absorbed more quickly by the body for recovery.

  • actually i believe its the opposite...i think they usually say to use milk because its slows the digestion and gives the body more time to absorb it

  • @AirEatsBeats True but it will make you more bloated and constipated if you are taking 2-3 shakes a day. Plus milk has so much fat in it. It's health benefits are low. I use rice milk.

  • I still buy from the GNC shop but i don't use their protein powder anymore. I use another brand ISO protein and add a shot of espresso and take it to work for 10am shake. very cheap compared to the ice'd milk drinks you can buy.

  • was the protein you used natural flavor?

  • well it doesn't really matter does it.

  • how many calories does this contain? is this actually good for building muscle?

  • i have shakes every day and i'm not really trying to build muscle but i do lose fat. I don't know what exercise you do but if it's low intensity and for 75 mins (min) you will start to burn fat.

  • If I am trying to burn fat and build a bit of muscle (just trying to preserve it for now) and build up later, would shakes be ok?

and what ingredients should I avoid?

  • I personally don't add sugar to anything, i also don't eat cakes or biscuits (unless special occasion) and limit the amount of carbs i eat. Running is the best exercise to lose weight (if you're big) and as I said below, if the intensity is low the body learns to use fat as energy and conserve your glycogen stores for faster exercise and sprints.

  • can you make a protein shake without the protein power? like just use the fruits and what not?

  • yes you can. sorry for the delay in replying. You can put whatever takes your fancy really. that's what i did. if you don't like it bin it and try again.

  • so I can use eggs to replace the powder right? And I suppose when you freeze the fruits before putting them on your shake, it will taste better?

  • hey looks real good how do u like the gnc proteins?

  • Hi, i don't use them anymore due to a sweetener they use. Reports on the net suggested (by a couple of drs) that it could be carcinogenic, i asked GNC why they used this particular sweetener and they told me they prefer not to discuss what they use in their products. I've got a copy of the E-mail if you wanna see it.

I now use Endura protein powders and drinks for my marathon training/running.

  • Looks yummy

  • thanks, it is.

I tend to settle for mixed frozen berries at the moment.

  • hey this is great stuff.. i just finished drinking my shake but i will try your style next time.

  • good ideas thanks

  • Have you tried Hemp protein powder,it's full of the protein and antioxidants because it's cold processed well the organic stuff anyways it's whey better than whey.lol

    101 uses for MARY JANE

  • is milk powder easier to digest than regular milk?

  • I would have thought the powder or the milk would digest the same. And any milk could be used.

  • can you make protein shakes with Goat Milk.

  • is a protein shake good to drink durin after a workout or b4 a workout?

  • after

  • after, because lifting weights and working out acutally decreases the protein in your Muscles.

So by drinking a protein shake within 30 minutes after working out, you replenish your muscles, and at the same time, adding extra to support bigger muscle mass, which leads to muscle growth.

  • many people reckon after (if you're talking gym) but marathon running...i have one before because it kicks in at 2 hours and believe me... you need every once of energy your body and grab...on top of carbs. Some sports Gels in AU contain protein and they do help me when i'm doing interval training ...on a treadmill just over 1 hour.

  • what is gonner happen if u stop using the protein shake

  • pregnant women and kids can drink protein....all it is is protein that is extracted from milk, so just be careful if you are lactose intolerant or try an egg protein. caseine is better than whey for meal replacements for any time other than pre/post workout or morning. cottage cheese is really cheap and high in caseine. i got a tub of mega whey for like 1/4 price, so i use 1 scoop of that(13 g of whey), 1/2 cup cottage cheese, and fruit or coffee(all in all its about 25 g of protein.

  • how many times a day do you drink the shake??

  • normally first thing 7am, 10am (at work) and sometimes before bed. before you ask, I do shoulder stuff, and i'm training for a marathon so today i've had 3 already after a 25k run yesterday. 1 at 8am, late morning and one with a different fruit at luncthime.

  • very nice shake man :), is it really hard to clean the shaker?

  • No i put it in the dishwasher if I'm doing one with fruit.

  • is vanilla flavour tastes good??? protein

  • yes. Also the apple I have just seen on the news is the only fruit proved to help your heart against disease. I have one with my salad too.

  • very good.....i'm thinking to take supercharge by labrada...and i'm 14 years old......and a little bit fat.....and not lean....so i workout everyday...

  • cool shake man!!!!1

  • Thanks

    mikey

  • hey 4 the protein powder/supplements do they hav an age limit? or are they appropriate for all ages?

  • no age limit that i can see, i've also confirmed with one company that pregnant mums can have it but check to be safe.

I now take 3 to 4 shakes a day including one before bed with blueberries. Yum!!!
