I don't think the American system is the best in the world by any means, but the Americans are not the West. Iran has a higher poverty rate, obviously, and a dramatically lower per capita GDP, and far less opportunities for riches for the average man, which is what I found laughable about the comment.
A state-owned telecommunications system is not completely flawed, even in a country like Iran. But if you have done your research, you would have heard that all of Iran's national telecommunications have been sold to the Revolutionary Guards Corps. This is an over-funded military with the intention to keep the revolution.
Also, Iran's GDP per capita IS lower than that of USA, but that is because the circumstances are COMPLETELY different.

I have been to Iran, and have family and friends all over the country, and it is FACT that there has been MASS DEMONSTRATIONS (hundreds of thousands of people) all over the country, including Tabriz, Shiraz, Esfahan, Hamadan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Karaj, etc.
Not only was it centeralized in ONE area, but many MANY people disagreed with it and did not like it.
In the East and South of Tehran, demonstrations never took place.
Demonstraters were mainly from the middle upper class of the society.
This 'middle upper class' of the society watches satellite television and gets their news and thoughts from VOA, BBC Farsi (which was launched before the elections, specifically FOR the elections) and a bunch of smaller channels.

They take slogans, which Immam Khomeini made famous, and change it completely. Then they hold up Khomeini's picture in a next rally.
They are manipulated very easly, i've had talks with many of the students in Iran. They are not politicaly aware, to say the least.
Just because they are students , doesnt necassarly make them 'politicaly aware' and educated.
Most of them want western liberal freedoms, thats it!

Telecommunications in Iran is almost entirely state-owned. So obviously those who listen to outside sources are being manipulated. I don't think the American system is the best in the world by any means, but the Americans are not the West. Iran has a higher poverty rate, obviously, and a dramatically lower per capita GDP, and far less opportunities for riches for the average man, which is what I found laughable about the comment.

A state-owned telecommunications system is not completely flawed, even in a country like Iran. But if you have done your research, you would have heard that all of Iran's national telecommunications have been sold to the Revolutionary Guards Corps. This is an over-funded military with the intention to keep the revolution.
Also, Iran's GDP per capita IS lower than that of USA, but that is because the circumstances are COMPLETELY different.
You cannot know about Iran if you are not an Iranian.

Not only was it centeralized in ONE area, but many MANY people disagreed with it and did not like it.
In the East and South of Tehran, demonstrations never took place.
Demonstraters were mainly from the middle upper class of the society.
This 'middle upper class' of the society watches satellite television and gets their news and thoughts from VOA, BBC Farsi (which was launched before the elections, specifically FOR the elections) and a bunch of smaller channels.

Every single point they made, i countered it and explained to them i know exactly where they are bringing those points up from.

He also increased gasoline prices, to reduce wastefull consumption and to lower consumption in general.

The release of money by the Fed is an investment in future growth, and occasionally a long term investment. The US dollar is not imploding, but you need import demand within it, so jobs.
