I have read they cannot "cap the gusher after the wellhead ... the more they try and restrict the oil gushing out the bop?...the more it will transfer to the leaks below. Just like a leaky garden hose with a nozzle on it. When you open up the nozzle?...it doesn't leak so bad, you close the nozzle?...it leaks real bad, same dynamics. It is why they sawed the riser off...or tried to anyway...but they clipped it off, to relieve pressure on the leaks down hole."

This is only the beginning..as sad as that sounds. More and more wildlife will die everyday and we may even see some species die off for good. The hard part about this is that there is not a single thing that I myself can do to help stop this. We've left it up to a super money hungry oil company that has other incentives to work for rather than the safety of their employees. It's a shame how this is all unfolding. The gulf coast will never be the same again...at least not in my lifetime.

This shit is annoying. The fact that this damage is already done is bad enough, The fact that this is still leaking into our water is inexcusable. The fact that money was spent on censoring Google search results, and making a commercial to "Improve Corperate Image" makes me want to toss the brain trust of BP into these waters and watch them swim to shore.

We really need to start investing into Solar and Wind energy already.

What might help is a prayer group. It's true that lots of people are praying for a positive resolution to this problem, and so far it hasn't happened, but is actually getting worse, as news reports confirm.
