Crunches are not efficient at getting rid of fat. There is also no such thing as spot fat removal. Your body will burn fat in it's natural order. Some people lose leg fat first, some burn stomach fat first. To achieve ANY fat loss, cardio is the only way you can do that. Be patient and be persistent. Your body will eventually start losing stomach fat. If your lucky, genetics will be in your favor and you'll burn that first. Good luck and work hard!

you can eat pasta. It's all about calories in vs calories out. If you consume more than you expend you'll gain weight. 90 percent of getting abs is diet though
