Um... this show was trying to show black people that they can do whatever they want. Claire's an attourney, and Cliff is a doctor, and they have a very nice home and are trying to educate their children and they live in a nonviolent neighborhood and home.

i liked the show. still like the old episodes. its not funny like madtv or eddie murphy because of when it was made and bein for tv instead of theaters. they cant show the same stuff on tv thanks to censors. i think what you mean is not all black people live in middle class suburbs. i couldnt imagine cosby in the ghetto. that would be awful. the hood is a very sad place from what ive heard. nobody helps them to live better.

@dimasjm Now I'll admit that I wasn't a huge Cosby fan but I applaud Cosby for putting black people in a better light and for educating the world by letting them know that we are not all ghetto, and if we do come from the projects we can get the education we need to get out of there and become successful, and we can be cultured and sophisticated as well. We dont have to stay in poverty. This show was different from the black sitcoms that came before it and thats a good thing.
