  • Outstanding Jazz. Thank you for your superb post.

    Earl Zindars Sextet:

Donald Byrd tp/ Pepper Adams bari/ Bill Evans p/ Paul Chambers b/ Philly Jo Jones d/ Earl Zindars perc.

The Third World, a composite of three Spring 1960 New York sessions, is a reissue of the original Warwick Records LP called Earl Zindars/Armando Peraza: The Soul of Jazz Percussion. On Warwick Quiet Temple was called All Alone.

One of those sessions does have Byrd & Booker together - not here, though. :I:

  • @Finkanslig

Thanks very much for the details and clarification! It would have been great to hear more from both of these greats together.

  • @maadlus On The Third World a Spring 1960 Booker-Byrd NY session cut Chasing the Bird (w/ Booker solo), Call to Arms, and Wee-Tina:
