  • how much those horses weigh?

  • and to think that i rode one when i was a child! Her name is Cisca and she is a real Brabant in the true color as seen here. she's old now, but those horses are the best! They are true gentle giants, soft in the mouth with an extremely strong build, yet they won't take advantage of the fact that they are so strong and use it to their own will.

  • Lovely Brabant! It is amazing to think that this is what a Belgian looks like in Belgium. The type is so different here. To think that the color here was so influenced by movie and TV cowboys that they only imported sorrel and palomino Belgians. They come in every color of the rainbow over there.

  • very true

  • Yes, you're right. In Montana and Wyoming and even Iowa, you'll see only the tall, leggy, sorrel "Belgians" with flax manes and tails. It's a shame.

  • I know. It makes me ill. They are trying to breed Hackneys that weigh over a ton. Just what we need: the brains and action of a Hackney. What a good way to wear out a perfectly good horse and what a good way to kill people.

  • i would like to know how much it just pulled there, it's so amazing, so much power!!
