  • This song is so heart-touching...

  • Man, this song and that scene reminds me of pallbearer walking down the road. :'(

  • thank you ryu for all ...

  • what a downer!

  • ... '_' ... ಥ‿ಥ

  • LOL! Look at Bison standing in second place... Like a Boss!

  • Ryu's got no time for women! the fight is everything!!!

  • Man tears......

  • ryu is shorter thay you would've expected

  • come on ryu, we get the point, you're the greatest street fighter

  • Ryu never had a girlfriend!

  • @nya13 He's always been a career man...

  • @goshyn00 Till Guile made him a family man!!!

  • He's a career man.

  • @nya13

Not according to all the Ryu/Chun-Li shippers... lol.

  • @nya13 wath's your problem?

  • 20 years latter.....the fight is still everything

  • 3 dislikes? 3 people who have obviously never.........

    harooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooken'd

  • Sagat is on the lowest platform and is still the tallest!

  • I thought Ryu was an awesome character because of this ending... when I was a noob.

Now I just see him as the character for noobs to learn LOL

  • @AWDfreak Ryu is an awesome character... the fact that he's the origin of shoto cheapness does nto take away from the story component of street figter at all.. it just means you gotta teach ryu players to fear Guile and fear they shall muahahahahah muaaaahhahahahaha (sorry, lost myself there for a moment)

  • @S0ryiu Well of course he's pretty much one of the roots of the SF story.

But against Ryu scrubs, there's nothing they can do against T Hawk's heavy kick and Mexican Typhoons :D

  • @AWDfreak

Nice to see you smarten up. Philosophy is one thing, but skill is certainly another.

  • At 0.29 = Mark Wahlberg

  • Did sheng long help with this badass ending??

  • 20 years later...the fight is still everything.

  • This is why Ryu will always be the best character ever developed...his motives are selfless...an undying passion to the artform

  • @mitsucrew1797 well, that was untill they retconned it... according to capcom now, the reason he left the ceremony was t hunt down Gouki (akuma) for supposedly killing Gouken (which street fighter IV retcons by making Gouken still alive... damn capcom, can't even keep up with your own cannon can you?)

  • @S0ryiu

Capcom's last good story was Final Fight.

  • @SeventhSun Strider 2.

  • @mitsucrew1797 ...What is this 'development' you speak of XD

  • GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME AND GREATEST CHARACTER. RYU IS MY HERO!

  • Nice music.

    Kind of nostalgic.

  • they sure like to cross their arms do they? (watch the end of the video)

  • Even if Ryu is just as cheap as the competitive people say he is, I still play as him, if nothing else for the meaning behind his character. It truly is a wonderful ending.

  • Sagat and Bison are pouty that they lost...

  • "Ceremony means nothing to him."

"Oh well... Good thing we have a Ryu clone to replace him in the pedestal."

  • "Ceremony means nothing to him..."

"Oh well... Good thing we have a Ryu clone to replace him in the pedestal."

  • YOU WENT TO THE CEREMONY

    GAME OVER

  • 3 people suck too much at the game to even see this ending.

  • This ending is actually perfect.

It is small and simple, but concise, to the point and full of meaning. I am becoming more jaded each day, but this 1 minute ending managed to sway me.

  • epic melody..

  • @gianlryu I know right. i wish there was an orchestral version. I can barely find a midi :/

  • @goshyn00

I could do an orchestra arrangement but I would have to find the MIDI for this song.

    sadface indeed.

  • Compare to Kirby's Dream Land 2, Coo's theme.

  • I tell you how to spot one of the top 3 fighters in the world? THEY CORSS THEIR FUCKIN' ARMS LIKE A BADASS.

  • thx ryu

  • Lesson learned from this ending: Whatever you pride yourself doing in your life, wherever it be in the visual and performing arts, sports, career, love, education, whatever, do it because you ENJOY it and you LOVE it. Don't do it because you seek fame and glory. Even if you succeed or fail, remember that you did it in general was everything. Then, truly then, you will find that pride and joy.

  • @ViolinSnowKid i sure do love and enjoy seeking a career in love, thanks ViolonSnowKid! You taught me the way

  • Boring end....I always played as Fei Long and his final scene is much better than Ryu, even Ken's ending don't suck so hard.

    Well, It's just my opinion...

  • hai-duken!

  • Ryu is a complete legend

  • has anyone noticed but on SFII world warrior on ryu's ending his face seems alot different from here....looks like video game characters age aswell

  • I like how the ending goes on about how Ryu doesn't care for trivialities and ceremonies, and that he's off to fight elsewhere...but the next moment he's standing on the podium with his fist to the air.

  • OMG STREAMS O TEARS!

  • A true classic I like this game even if I get my butt handed to me by Super players.

  • I always like Ryu's ending. Great motto too "The Fight Is Everything."

  • lol then what the heck is up with 1:10 then if he doesn't care =0 damn i remember looking at all the alternate colors back then. that was like the coolest thing in video games.

  • lionel richie's "hello" ....

    same song?

  • Ryu's ending is pretty good!

  • Titles and prizes are nice, but they're nothing compared to competition.

  • I like the music to this ending

  • I must agree!

  • OMG! Gol Lightan Stoled Ryu's Ending in TVC UAS lol

  • 5/5

  • Narrator: As the award ceremony, "where is the champion?" ...Already seeking the next challenge, ceremony means nothing to him...the fight is everything.

    Then

Ryu: I remembered Bison & Sagat were going to be at the ceremony so why not rub their defeat in their faces. Oh ya, where's my damn trophey?

  • this nice song screams for a remake. maybe i will.....

  • I've been a Street Fighter game fan since 1995. I have had this ending stuck in my head since childhood but never understood the value and the message of this ending. Now I see that so many people are fearful of loosing but in the end is the real fight that pays off regardless of failure or success. And with tears on the keyboard I am proud to say that life holds many obstacles but its about fighting til the end. Even this videogame sets such a powerful message! THE FIGHT IS EVERYTHING!

  • i always wondered why sagat was in a semi-squating ready-to-poo pose

  • because he's a kick boxer & thats their fighting stance.

  • muay thai

  • muay thai, kick boxing....same shit lol.

one is the technical term & the other is the commonly used term.

  • truly a powerful ending...

at the very least, it's classic.

  • THE FIGHT IS EVERYTHING......

  • you bet your sweet bippy it is

  • ryu...

  • great endig and the music is great

  • You Went To The Ceremony

    GAME OVER!!

  • I get emotional seeing this ending...

  • hahahah me too its so cool and encouraging sometimes it made me kinda feel like crying

  • Yeah. Even though it's not a long, drawn out, epic ending it's still one of the best endings in VG history. This is the first time you get a glimpse into Ryu and everyone learns how he's a true fighter at heart and the fight means everything to him, regardless of victory, loss, or even a death.

  • Comment removed

  • yeahh and it meant so much to me, besides im a martial artist so to me this ending is like telling me dont worry about winning or losing, being humble and strong in life, to surpass all your problems is the way in life regardless of how much money, fame you gain or winning. Most of us keep on losing more times than we ever win, but you must fight and fight till we can gain the harmony we desire and sometimes the most important battle is the battle within. The fight is everything...

  • Just like you can still be a loser and win regardless.....

A winner can be a loser and a loser can be a winner.

  • 1:11

Looks like Ryu went to the ceremony anyway

  • Absolute hero Ryu is...epic ending and music

  • imitation lucky luke.. be original ryu!

  • Victory means nothing, fighting is everything. pro.

  • I love that idea of "The fight is everything" and thriving to make yourself a better person though your skills. Seriously, the most arrogant people the ones who always seek to win. THey are the ones who will lose in the long run while those who do it for pleasure will become the true champs like Ryu.

And who said video games don't teach you anything?

  • You need to get laid more.

  • Nigga don't be jealous because I can spit my game with these hos!

  • I see your copy of this game has the same glitch. The full ending in other versions say "As the award ceremony begins, the crowd can be heard whispering...

'Where is the champion?' 'Where is Ryu?' '' Did all the SNES cartridges have this or just a few?

And yes, good ending. I have a comic book mini series that shows us that Ryu doesn't want to be the world's strongest, so he seeks the next challenge to find someone strong enough to defeat him. What a guy.

  • I love this ending, it really means so much to me. "The fight is all", it doesnt matter wether you lose or win, always give it all in life and be humble.....

  • Yesssss!!! It took me above 300 battles to beat that bastard Ryu at the hardest difficulty. I hated him so much. Guess who I used to defeat him: Ryu!

  • "You Must Destroy Shen Long To Have a Chance"

  • To STAND a chance.

  • It's very nice of Bison to show up for the award ceremony like this, isn't it? Normally you'd expect him to be flipping out and killing those who cross him, but here he shows he's actually quite a good sport about it all. Damn Capcom and their anti-Bison propaganda!

  • Bison sponsored the damned fights. Why wouldn't he show up?

  • @JiBendo :D

  • @JiBendo LoL amazing comment.

  • @JiBendo How could you not take that opportunity to stand on a podium with your hands crossed, and a brisk wind with badass ryu streetfighter music accompanying you..

  • i wish kate winslett could learn from this philosophy, and not even turn up to the award ceremonies with her irritating speaches. Don't know if she could do the dragon punches in the waterfall though...

  • i'm sure i remember him doing dragon punches at the end .............

  • He does them in SFII: World Warrior on SNES, but not in Turbo for some reason.

  • The best ending all times

  • Yes Sir. THE FIGHT IS EVERYTHING!!!

  • There U have it FOLKS! A champipn. admired by millions!!! Ryu went long ways 2 earn this award. But he knows deep inside that triumph goes further on. This is the exact mindset I have about my high school ceremony comin' up this June. Like Ryu, ceremony means nothing! School's been hell and I'm being convinced by my folks to attend the ceremony. My education has taken me a long route. But there R always challenges ahead and that's how this video relates 2 me! THE FIGHT IS EVERYTHING!!!

  • congratulations on finishing highschool....

It is in NO WAY like Ryu at all though, It doesn't make you a warrior..

In highschool did you ever get into any fights? or are you one of those guys who fears fights..

  • Thanks on the congrats dude!

Just going thru school dude! When did I not get in 2 fights is the damn question?? Dude not even high school. I used to get my ass beat, get my ass beat once more until I revolted and battled back. Mainly the reason y school's been hard. That's besides the point though. Just taking the challenges in life and hardship. Being a warrior. This is trully a video that leaves u thinkin about the realities and the values of life! That's how I relate to Ryu. HADOUKEN!!!

  • I like the way you think!! That is how a warrior thinks outside of the battlefield too! They try to succeed in everything they do with their heart and soul. Buddy with an attitude like that nothin's ever going to beat you. And remember "ALL OF OUR BATTLES WETHER WE WIN OR LOSE MAKES US STRONGER"

  • now, show the walking in the sunset clip with the first few lines of boulevard of broken dreams by green day

  • Ryus walks off into the sunset like the badass

    that he is

  • @clashb

Poor and lonely as ever. Still a virgin too.

  • so who took ryus award?

  • Chun Li!! Who else? Duh...

    :P

  • Best ending ever in any video game!

  • Let him go... he knows what he's doing.

  • You're playing it on a level too easy probably.

  • I dont get it. Everytime i beat the game i just get the capcom logo nothing else....

  • You have to have the difficulty on at least 4 or above.

  • How do you get to see the credits?

  • I believe they were in the instruction manual. If not there then I don't know

  • No How do you get to see the credits with end song.

  • beat the game on the hardest setting

  • I'm pretty sure you have to beat it on medium; 4 out of 8 stars difficulty.

  • medium gets you the character's ending picture with a "thanks for playing presented by capcom" message

  • YOU WIN!

  • lol,ryu is the shortest of them all

    but the best one

  • 1:11 then ryu changed his...mind

  • That song rules!!! I love this song even when i didn't play with ryu so much.

the most beautiful song in this game... this and ryu's stage

  • AGREED! I even tried getting this song as a ring tone on my tracfone. It's so hard to find though.

  • I've got it as .mp3 if that's of any help. If you want, give me your E-Mail and I can send it.

  • no thanks, unless you have an orchestral version of it I can already get it as an mp3. thanks anyway

  • Alright, that clears it up. Nope, didn't find orchestral although I'd love one too :/

  • send it to me

  • Sure, just give me an E-Mail Address. You can send a private message or something if you don't want to publically post it.

  • look how Ryu remains the same till this day! Now thats what i call great series! Long Live Street Fighter! Cant wait for Street Fighter 4!

  • Nostalgic...THE FIGHT IS EVERYTHING...

    Brilliant song

  • goshyn00, are you proud of Ryu? I am.

  • nyc! damn these were the days man seriously lots of memories

ryu's stage track is crazy though love the beat of that

neway thanks for the vid nyc 1

  • brilliant song and ending.

  • well in the end he made it to the ceremony. probably wanted some money

  • best game ever made

  • what the hell man...he is supposed to be punching a waterfall =(

  • The song rocks. Too dramatic..

    Thanks for the viedo.

  • You're right :D I love this song :) It's beautiful

  • sorry to whoever was below my last comment, I had a typo on my comment and accidentally deleted the comment below mine. And he street fights I believe. Watch street fighter IIv or II the animated movie, it explains a lot of stuff like that and where he got started.

  • Thanks! Do you know what he does to get money?

  • He participates in various fighting competitions that aren't as high profile as that tournament.

  • ryu champion

  • Great Ending to a Video Game...

All that Money spent in the Arcade was well Worth it...

    Thanks for Posting...!!!

  • Dont get it wrong. The ceremony scene is just an illustration that ryu is at the top, sortta like an imagination from his admirers. He himself could never stand that kind of thing. A man of solitude, the wandering warrior, for all his life. No matter how many times i see this, watching him walk off in the sunset, to no certain destination makes me feel so sad.

  • heh, I know, I was joking. But you shouldn't feel too sad. Yeah his life of solitude is hard, but you should also be proud that he's looking to be the best he can.

  • I love how it says ceromony means nothing to him yet at the end of the video, he participates in a ceremony...

  • hahah I know, it's ironic genius whoever thought of it

  • they just added that as a joke along with that soundbite and all

  • is this the snes version?

  • dats a tune and half i want it on cd arr

  • damn that took it way back

  • I cried like a baby the first time I cleared this game with Ryu....

  • OMG I thought it was only me who cried clearing SF2 with ryu (platform sega genesis/megadrive)

  • Best fighting game ending ever, DON'T hate niggas.

  • lol i did completed it as ryu on hardest level without being able to do the special moves. Just used his devistating forward jump and hard kick. Always hard kick!

  • CLASSIC

  • cool!

  • Should I be concerned that I beat this game 8 years ago and I still remember the ending?

  • hell no, it's a classic, i'd be concerend if you DIDN'T remember this.

  • Excuse me how is Sagats ending better ? Valiant81 LOL

It was practically the same Chesy anding for Vega Balrog and M Bison ...

  • he's just a fag that wants attention all endings are pretty he same 2 me

  • No, they weren't. The only endings the same on II turbo were Bison, Sagat, Balrogs, and Vega's. E. Honda sitting in his kitchen eating noodles is not the same as Ryu walking off in the sunset!

  • (LOL) I sob on my mom's lap everytime I hear that music.

  • What's with all the hating on this ending? It's good, IMO. It illustrates Ryu's character perfectly, has some memorable text, some nice artwork, and an absolutely beautiful piece of music (one that actually literally makes me teary-eyed when I hear it... same with the ending credits music).

  • Post other snes sf2 or even ssf2 endings.

  • Shut up! You ain't got no life! This leaves back good memories!
