thanks, the webcam issue was a concern of mine. also, would you characterize the laptop as portable? is it too heavy to carry around, say in a backpack? p.s. you actually "speak" english really well

@greycarbon26 Well it's quite heavy so i wouldn't consider it portable but it wont be a big problem, its 6.3 lps.

What laptop exactly is beter than a vaio with backlit keyboard, with a 2nd gen i5, full hd display and blue ray player for $1100??? I know the sager's do, but a) they've been backordered for months and b) the design is not as nice and c) it's about the same price...the hp's have an i7 for about the same price, but not as nice display and they have an overheating problem, so i'm really curious because I'm right now looking for a laptop in this category.

@ejkeebler well that's why i bought the vaio.. even though i can get a laptop with i7 processor and 750 GB hdd and 6mb ram for the same price but Sony's quality and screens and design can make it up to u.

@greycarbon26 Well actually it was a gift for some one so i cant do a review now because i gave it to her! but the web cam was great it is HD.. The speakers was OK and thats a common problem with Vaio laptops :( thanks for commenting --im Arabian English excuse my English.
