I was in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks the hospital cost was 55,950 , then the surgery on my left leg was 190,000 , 47 stiches on my right leg 8,000 . then of course odds and ends over that time total was close to 300,000 . This was in 2005 . MV accident.
@donze52 hey I love your videos. I stumbled across your channel while I saw one of your videos about carrying a sharp rock as I knife. I loved it. I'm a current subscriber to your channel. I'm 13 and I love how you make history fun. :) keep it up!
I have excellent medical coverage. I am a federal government employee, US Post Office. However I still had to pay about $1200.00 out of pocket for a visit to emergency room last year, only 5 hour visit. I think the total bill was around $4000.00 or so. My medical benefits cost me $12/week for medical, dental, and vision coverage. However there are still co-pays out of pocket. There really is no good medical insurance anymore. Even people with good insurance still pay alot.
tell me about high medical cost nowadays I have been taking my wife to her med appointments and because all these doctors are specialist they are charging $40 of copay per visit. Thanks for the insurance but anyways it hurts the pocket. We had been to those appointments like around 9 times during this month and the past one. Two more and then she will be (very likely) she will be under the knife like in three weeks from now...I'll be waiting for a huge bill after that ....wish me luck !
The government and big businesses don't want people to pay off their debt. This world is trapping the common people in an endless cycle of debt that is inevitably passed on to the next generation. We are only taught to spend and manage debt and not taught how to live debt free and pay off our debts. I am only 18 and I fear for my future and will probably never comfortably retire. Living simple is probably the only choice we have. Thanks for the video. Good health to everybody and look at alterns
As usual Mr. Bill you have brought out that which is really wrong with our health care system in this country. From 1908 to 2011, I would be willing to bet that the standard of care is no better. Oh yes, we have new gadgets and medicines now, but the cures were probably better back in 1908. Technology is great to a certain point and that point is in the law of diminishing returns. We pay more today than we did yesterday, but we are no closer to a cure for real diseases, not just the wimpy ones.
Thanks Mr. Bill, I made a deal with my veterinarian to treat my family. He has access to all the same prescriptions we find valuable like Oxycontin and the like. the only draw back is we get kennel cough every now and then. Thanks for the invaluable info
I love the NHS.

dear GOD, how terrible, thanks for contact
see i feel all insurance should be done away with,
and everyone pay to their ability.
everyone pays but just one weeks wage for each day in the hospital. and no
interest on funds owed,
the rich would pay more, the poor would pay something,
and price raping would stop, and getting rid of paper work and middle men insurance that live
by cheating their clients.

this nation would do much better to close down all medical insurance, for before it
the cost was low, but insurance means no one is watching as cost go up
when you have medical bills, you should pay accordlingly to your income.
problem solved.
thanks for contact

I am 58 and never plan to retire, until I am dead.
work is a blessing for me.
as for those that commit the crime of mega pricing, it was a crime, why is it only certain
businesses can not have mega prices and other can charge tons of money?
