  • im not really into using eye is my claymations but this is good

  • @gohanguy22 I hated using them, but ever since I started getting into more emotions, I couldn't NOT use them. You've gotta force yourself to try it at least.

  • good job on your videos. im in 7th grade and my school is doing a reflections contest. the winner can go to the county, to the state, and to nation. I'm doing stop motion for mine. I followed your directions and bought van aken clay. its amazing.

  • @dkev3 Good luck! Keep animating :)

  • awsome tutorial but one of my eyes was a total fail besides that every thing went fine

  • hey great job, you taught me how to make an awesome clay face for my project, i'm in grade seven and were starting claymation. thanks for your tutorials and great job!!!

  • @littleB477580 Thanks! Glad to hear :) Wish I was doing claymation in the seventh grade.

  • Your videos are great, thanks for posting them!

So, when you animate the eyes moving, are you sticking a paper clip in and rotating the eyes, or do you have to remove the cheekbones etc first? If you had a video on animating eyes (including blinking, frowning, etc), that would be a great addition to the collection I think :)

  • @lpbaker68 Yeah, you simply move the eyes with a point or a paper clip

  • How about a car

  • sphere

  • spere

  • how do you make clay walice

  • @willdman100 I made him around the 0:50 mark on youtube.com/watch?v=uuswZwXq8NI

  • i will subscribe

  • ur awesome

  • @legoman253 thanks dude.

  • @sgtjlopez its true do you make monney off this

  • @roastbeast101 hahaha, no.

  • can you bake any other clay?

  • @WeirdThingsOnEarth Sculpey, Sculpey III, Super Sculpey, Fimo, plenty of other ones. They say on the label.

  • lad you are good, if you havnt already could you do a tut on making hands plzzz would be much appreciated

  • @the1quarter lol, my hands usually aren't terribly detailed. They usually look mitten-like. If you have a good solid clay, you can get detailed and use armatures, but I just don't have the materials.

  • @sgtjlopez Well...maybe I'll give it a shot. I have a detailed animation coming out in the next month or so.

  • this is a very good tutorial!

I use plain white beads to my eyes that i bought at a local craft store for about $0.90 and they work great!

On my facebook i have a couple pics of one of my most recent clayman with the eyes in.

  • thanx that helped a lot

  • @tuckmo001 No problem. Thanks for the sub!

  • @sgtjlopez ya no problem

  • lol! the closed captians say "now you have clear titles." at 3:42

  • hahaha...

  • Great tutorial. Love your work

  • Awesome to hear!

  • great tutorial man and yes this is supershadowgamer25's back up account can you subscribe to this account and my other account i subbed with this account and my other account

  • hey is the white clay you use in this video is this clay van aken or a differennt brand of clay

  • lol-- @0:08

    Sculpey or Fimo work.

  • Thx man helped a lot.

  • Great :)

  • i usually make my eyes differently, but this is a nice technique. just curious,

once they have been worked around with the clay,

isn't it quite difficult to move the eye?

  • Not really. The waxy/oily consistency of Van Aken works well with it.

  • its not that hard to make armature bones in your characters just go to the garden section in "tool / home making market shop" (sorry I dont know how to call them in english) and get some plastic covered wire. then just make the basic anatomy bone using it :) (it really is very simple) the worst part is the feet cog :O

  • Sometime I'll have to design a table that would allow me to use a screw to hold the feet down to the table, but my current one just isn't made for that...

We just call those Department Stores. lol

  • this is kinda random but, i realized why dont you use armatures? they are so legit.

  • Because I haven't found a way to make them yet. lol. At least, not efficiently.

  • @sgtjlopez

oh haha nice. they're fun to make.

  • Once I find a good design of mine that works, I'll do it. Until then, I'll stick to what I know...

  • lol i was just about to make the eyes of the head lol
