Our orthodox church is plagued by corruption and the only people to blame are the church goers. The church has become trading and profiting ground with priests extorting money for their own purposes. Do you know how many people in the chain you have to bribe to be granted priesthood? The leaders break and fracture and splinter from one church to create another like franchise! This is a good video but the comments astound me. The Ethiopians are about as "orthodox" as the Greeks or Slavs. From my point of view they they both fall short of understanding the word "nature". Jesus has a Divine Nature, he is God. He also has a human nature, he is a human with a human body and needs to eat. Even after the resurrection he asked for food.  His divine nature did not obliterate his human nature. He is both at the same time. They are compatable not exclusive or each other.

If I remember correctly the problem in 2002-2004 was that the Ethiopian Fathers leading the EOTC in US are condemned and isolated from the church. I remember when young Dicons insult the priesthood insisting that they are condemned. Unless I miss something the Abun seem to miss that point.
