@LJMKR8 I smash cobras all day in my full bolt on/tuned 02 z28. Only mustangs I ever have problems with are 03/04 and the new 5.0. I've handled many many 4.6 Mach 1s and gts no problem from dig or roll, driver mod is the most important mod. Not saying I don't lose every so often, but I have yet to lose to a volt on geared 4.6
@yeransian1493 or you can just have ford put a motor the same size as the LS1 and then it would be a good match. The supercharger just makes up for the fact that a Cobra is a 281ci and the chevy is a 350ci

I've surprised enough GTs that didn't have sufficient bolt-ons and can't touch a Cobra Mustang which is why I A) Need a large shot of nitrous or B) Need a Mustang Cobra LOL

I am pretty sure that there is nothing more left in this motor besideds a big bore 323. Ive run some 383 stroked lsx motors and its close you don't know the true mods except your own car everyone likes to lie. Its just so cheap to make lsx power. As far as your boosting comment there are plenty of 6.0s mod mustangs out there trapin 230+ with less ci.
Dont get me wrong if I had an lsx I would stay NA its cheaper to do HCI then to go out and buy a blower/turbo and power is there too for cheap. I love NA suprised I got into mustangs its just twice as much money to make them equal to an lsx counterpart. lets clear things up a bit shall we? the ws6 runs a 13.4 quarter mile BONE STOCK, the '03 mach 1 runs a 13.2 BONE STOCK, and the Cobra runs a 12.9. End of story cobra is first, then mach1, then ws6. Even with mods :) and just for shits and giggles the 02 SS Camaro runs a 13.335 at 106.7 mph. so @camarorswright STFU!

@Nascarlee The Cobra is Supercharged, it doesn't build boost like a turbocharger. Boost is almost instant (typically at full boost by 2k rpm) on roots type supercharger. I think it had more to do with him shifting into 3rd, which seems to be the Cobra's sweet spot.

its a firebird or a formula, but more than likely a 3.8 bird, you can tell by the fog lights in the front. Cobras are still bad ass though. Mostly the new edge 03/04.

@crackerisntme A stock 2001 manual Cobra will run 13.6s on the 1/4 mile with a good driver, while a stock 2003 manual Mach 1 will run 13.1s on the 1/4 mile with a good driver.

@cooldbz12 i have a 87 iroc z 350 tpi with auto trans 3.73 gears and full exhaust and k&N filters and i am side by side with a mach 1 all the way down the quarter mile. has anyone noticed that a 99-04 2 valve gt is as fast as a mach 1 until top end. point is with God behind the wheel a stock mach 1 could run a 13.2 but im pretty sure that will never happen cause God is driving a ZR1 right into the mid 10's on street tires lol suck it ford lovers your company sucks
@prophecyPB Actually 390 was a very underrated flywheel number when it was more along the lines of 410 to the tires..And a LS1 was right around 305 at the tires either way it has 100 more hp at the tires.

If someone builds an ls1 who knows what they are doing, knows how to blueprint, and match heads cam and intake for the correct rpm range and with a simple ring gear change will walk on 04 cobras with pullys/exhauts/tunes... Most people just slap bolt ons to an ls1 with 120k miles on it and expect it to be fast...

I raced an 03 GT 5-speed with exhaust and tune and had him before the crosswalk at the other side of the intersection. I'll humbly accept my losses though, because generally a modified GT is going to be faster. That's a given. But look at what I'm working with here. A goddamn Lincoln LOL I dare to be different. :)

@heri2d If you're going boost in the future then stay at 3.55s or go to 3.55s if your cobra has longer gears, if you're staying N/A then go 4.10s or 4.30s. With 4.10s you're looking at or a little above 4k in 2nd.

its a firebird or a formula, but more than likely a 3.8 bird, you can tell by the fog lights in the front. Cobras are still bad ass though. Mostly the new edge 03/04.

Ive gotta Lingenfelter Camaro that I love, but Im wanting a change, so Im looking for a Mach1. Also so my ex-wife wont recognize me. LOL All I remember from when they came out in 03, is that they have a 305hp Cobra engine. Any avide Mach owners got some helpful advice as to cheap/easy mods for that motor, Id appreciate it.

@crackerisntme A stock 2001 manual Cobra will run 13.6s on the 1/4 mile with a good driver, while a stock 2003 manual Mach 1 will run 13.1s on the 1/4 mile with a good driver.

Well yeah you would win against a stock SS or WS6 b/c you have alot of mods! 410s and tune being your biggest ones! Stock to stock I have personally beaten many Mach 1s and even a couple 03-04 Cobras! But once you get a car modded as much as yours, you can't compare to other stock cars. Yeah you can race them if you want, but you can't compare. Stock ws6 vs modded mach? Lets see a real race of a modded WS6 vs the modded Mach. But it's whatever. not my video. Just saying what I would like to see.

@cooldbz12 i have a 87 iroc z 350 tpi with auto trans 3.73 gears and full exhaust and k&N filters and i am side by side with a mach 1 all the way down the quarter mile. has anyone noticed that a 99-04 2 valve gt is as fast as a mach 1 until top end. point is with God behind the wheel a stock mach 1 could run a 13.2 but im pretty sure that will never happen cause God is driving a ZR1 right into the mid 10's on street tires lol suck it ford lovers your company sucks

@prophecyPB Actually 390 was a very underrated flywheel number when it was more along the lines of 410 to the tires..And a LS1 was right around 305 at the tires either way it has 100 more hp at the tires.

@mazda6tuner99 man i believe your stang is fast and nice you have good mods on it and i know what just a tune does to a 3 valve so i can believe you beat a ws6 but im sure a better driver could edge you out even with a stock ws6. for example a 98 automatic z28 will lay down 290whp when a stock 3 valve gt only lays 235 if lucky to the wheels id say you have 270whp at most and you are heavier and less aero dynamic only thing makes it close is your 4.10 gears.

If someone builds an ls1 who knows what they are doing, knows how to blueprint, and match heads cam and intake for the correct rpm range and with a simple ring gear change will walk on 04 cobras with pullys/exhauts/tunes... Most people just slap bolt ons to an ls1 with 120k miles on it and expect it to be fast...

I raced an 03 GT 5-speed with exhaust and tune and had him before the crosswalk at the other side of the intersection. I'll humbly accept my losses though, because generally a modified GT is going to be faster. That's a given. But look at what I'm working with here. A goddamn Lincoln LOL I dare to be different. :)

@heri2d If you're going boost in the future then stay at 3.55s or go to 3.55s if your cobra has longer gears, if you're staying N/A then go 4.10s or 4.30s. With 4.10s you're looking at or a little above 4k in 2nd.
