The first time I saw this trailer, I was like: Dude I don't care if it sucks, at least its not Twilight. But this movie really surprised me as not only being original enough from past retellings of vampire mythology, but an interesting story with a post apocalyptic feel without the same fallout scenario. Props to the director and cast and crew for not only being the only real vampire fim in months, but actually making a decent film out of it.

Hating Twilight is more than a trend. Twilight is nothing but watered down romance b.s. for unintelligent teenagers, former Harry Potter fans needing a new fantasy because its ending. This film relates to our times better and is also written better. Plus it offers something original and new, unlike twilight that is rehashed book junk. This is an original screenplay as well, and has REAL actors.

I love vampire movies, but every needs to stop hating on Twilight. Anybody can make up anything about vampires because they're not real! Who cares if they sparkle? I know everyone is used to certain idea, but you have to be creative and different sometimes. Sure, it might give younger girl the wrong image, but it's just a book. I think that it's great that they've been starting to show both sides, but I think that these movies and series who shows the bad side of a vampire is much more interesting. But I do enjoy both, so just because I enjoy watching Twilight movies, or Vampire Diaries, it doesn't mean that I don't like these movies who shows the bad sides of vampires.
