He definitely doesn't come across as too technical, but from this and other videos... I realize this guy has real talent. I remember listening to plans when i had first started drumming and was all like "yeah I can play this, this guy isn't even good!" (back when I thought "good drumming" was just a bunch of fast rolls). But as I grow i realize sometimes less is more. But this guy definitely has tricks that he doesn't always display. Awesome.

He's excellent -- where do you find a drummer in popuar music as good as this? You don't or if someone can name one I'd like to hear him. Or her. Actually, I saw Kim Thompson drum for mike stern in NY and she was fantastic. She was so good now she plays for Beyonce- And she is beautiful.

i respect your opinion but why hate the band, all the members have such great minds, from mcgerr's awesome rythms to walla's awesome arrangments and their collaboration together as a band to bring out the emotion of gibbards lyrics that give a story and setting every time.

I have this refill, I use the rex loops all over the place, a nice well-recorded acoustic drum sound out of the box. My songs sound really 'pro' now, and i don't even try! :)

its so cool to see behind the curtain as the magicians practice their tricks. it puts a human face on all the drum samples i use.. ill never think of them as empty code again.
