One of the reasons this is such a powerful performance is that the assistant does as little as possible. She doesn't smile; she doesn't show off her wrists, she doesn't even move unless the magician physically directs her. She doesn't even enter the cabinet: it's placed around her. This inactivity makes it seem all the less likely that she'd be moving at all in the cabinet.
Also, the first tie is palm-to-palm, rather than palm-to-forearms. More convincing, but harder to tie the arms.
C'est magnifique! Especially as M'sieur Arthur did that much faster than the Russian magician in one of the other versions. Also, that gray jacket looked much better on the super-hot assistant than it did on the volunteer! The funniest part, though, was how the volunteer _turned down_ the magician's offer of a knife (for the purpose of speeding up the release of the assistant's hands). ;-)
I think he was facetiously referring to the prevalence of Chinese practioners of this particular illusion, among the myriad versions you've gracious enough to share with us.

If it was in actual time recorded, i am amazed how guickly the switch was performed, but i rather suspect it wasnt.
AS i know how the trick works, i know there needs to be some time to perform the switch!!!
