im understanding all of this i jut dont understand how math can prove that there is a parallel universe, or how there are 11 dimensions. can someone explain how this math proves this.
so maybe the 2 branes collided causing the big bang, the collision caused intersection between the 2 and dark matter and dark energy are actually us detecting the OTHER brane... Maybe what we think is an expansion is actually momentum as the two branes continue to pass through each other like two water droplets after breaking each others surface tension, eventually momentum gives way to coalesce, observable "expansion" will cease and we will occupy a superverse composed of 2 branes?
so you are currently floating a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny fraction of a millimeter above your seat... is that the 11th dimension? my head hurts. where are the other dimensions? are they all the same dimension? are we living on a flat plane of pure energy? or is every conceivable direction a 'slide' or hologram intersecting with the others so closely that it gives the impresssion distance and space, of fluid motion, and ? argghh *face implosion
@analfrost Think of it like a storyboard of some kind. You see a line of pictures, that's time. And in every picture you have the 3 spacial dimensions we all see (x, y, z). Then there's another parallel storyboard, and another, and together they form some network or membrane, together with all the other dimensions. I use these kinds of metaphorical things to help my brain understand such complicated theories.
@vokuheila please do not start a discussion about god under this video. There are enough flamewars about this going on on youtube, we don't need another one.
By by big bang, hello big waves, particles, atoms the 11th dimension and back and on and on. By all! What caused the singularity??? Well if I'm opening up my mind might as well keep going, maybe God? No, 3 physicist one train, then one clapped in another parallel universe, big bang is back and now we can all clap :) So where did the waves come from? Let me get back to my calculus.
No theory has to explain the big bang. That's because it's so abstract, it's nonsense to try hard to explain it. Nobody can say it really was all like this. Just the same that nobody can say what's actually there today a billion light years away. That is because what we can only see is light from the past arriving today.
Having a theory to explain today's physics would be great, if it does not comply with the big bang crap, perhaps it's time to rethink this big bang and not drop the theory.
@kookee9 Well, evidence might be wrong. There's evidence for the existence of atoms, too. But we are going into the direction that there might be no atoms, but they are really strings.
people who say this is completely bullshit are closed minded. There is hard evidence suggesting that this may be true so why not just keep your mind open to it? It seems we are all afraid of conceptualizing something different. It is fear that stops us, and it is fear that will kill us and the reason why our world is filled with so much hate.
What if there is Mind that gave birth to the begining of the world? Like we give birth to an idea in our head with images and sounds, the same Mind could give birth to our universe being a form of a thought.
Here's a theory... 2 universes intersect... Ours having nothing... The other being over flowing... When they intersected.. The fuller universe poured into ours from the single 1 dimensional point at where the met and that point was the singularity
@si3500 Its a cool theory, Two energy masses collide and exchange Matter/Light/Energy neutralizing one another and moving on. Fits with the most common laws of nature. Work on it.
parallell universes would mean the opposite of somthing, so if u got matter, the opposition would be anti matter, and what happens when the both collide, you will certainly get a big bang!!! interesting subject
@gabe228 Lol @ your arrogance, believe me u just think u understand it... It's way deeper than "going on forever" or whatever your best guess is... BTW quit being such a homo and responding to comments, chode!
@spli10wiggz yeah it is too wierd. if you think about it, it must be increasing in size, otherwise you could reach it. and it must be increasing infinitely fast. it's fucking .... well yah ur mind cannot imagine it. and dude, it's not cos ur stupid, gabe228 is stupid for not realising that he cant comprehend it
@spli10wiggz I watched a video by Brain Greene explaining the history Infinity and the Men brave enough to try and understand it . . . they killed themselves :-0

I wonder if the membranes are the strings of another universe.

What about the 11-th dimension on which the membranes float? Where does it come from?
tabibitosama 9 months ago 4
@tabibitosama That's actually easy to explain:
Imagine nothing. No time, no space, no dimensions, nothing.
Well, where there is nothing, there is potential.
Potential is realized at all times when there is nothing inhibiting its realization.
As such, the 11th dimension, or the 'outermost' realm of existence, came into being simply because nothing existed to prevent it from occurring.
Neat stuff ;-)
My theory, BTW, but I'm pretty sure that is the case.
looncraz 7 months ago 2
@tabibitosama it comes from an omniverse where god resides.
