Mi24 is the most succesfull attack helicopter on earth,it is the most combat proven and much better than AH64D,faster,better armored,better survivability,more weapons capacity,more variants,capable to carry 8 soldiers,capable to drop bombs,8 Mi-24 was hit by stinger during Soviet/afghan war and it still could fly.

@operator well....its not military its army....but Useually it is used primaraly by army piolets and sometimes the airforce but we are more focused on airplanes and our tank buster is the A-10. Navy prefers the cobera and the marines use that to but in the end if Shit hits the fan it dosent matter who is doing what you go in and provide air support for the guys on the ground.

the Most feared helo in the world. why is it so fearful. well, its gun moves with the pilots head meaning looks can kill. the AH-64D Apache Longbow has day or night strike capabilities, it can fly extremely low, plus you never where or when it will show up. so its about as good at killing as it is making the enemy paranoid.

APPARENTLY, according to the tail section revealed in several photos from the raid on Bin Laden, there is a previously unknown type of transport helicopter in the US arsenal.

Looks as though they have taken design elements from AH-66 program, and may have either developed a new type of stealth transport helicopter, or they have a modified version of MH60 or less likely, MH53 incorporating stealth.

This is fairly old. They show but don't discuss the Apache D's radar system which is very good against cannon sized or larger enemy equipment. The latest news is that to go cheaper, but still stay deadly, the Apache-D will get radar guided 2.75" rockets which will work with the longbow system. The device fits on the front of a standard 2.75" rocket. The rockets wuld be as accurate as the radar guided hellfires and just as deadly against soft targets. The cost different is large.
