For those Amerasians want to look for their fathers, Go learn some english, at least you got to know how to write and speak so you know how to get around. Learn some skills: carpentry, welding, pipefitter, foundary, brick layer. US government won't let you in the country unless you've some skill and knew some english to make a living while wander all over 50 states looking for your father. You can get in the USA with work,visitor, student visa but you gotta learn english and have money to spend

When you're young, you don't think of the consequences of what you're doing. Over the years, I've wondered how many fatherless children I might have left in South Vietnam. I wish I could find them and help them come to the United States. As far as I am concerned, they're Americans.
I am more than willing to have a DNA test which would prove I am the biological father of a Vietnamese child/children. All American-Vietnamese mixed-race children should have the right to immigrate to America. One parent is American.
I had sexual relations with many Vietnamese women. The "good" girls wouldn't have anything to do with American soldiers. Ran into the same thing stateside. I had a girlfriend in El Paso, Texas. Her father was in the Army. When he found out I was a soldier, he told his daughter to drop me. He had just given her a brand-new car. If she stayed with me, her father was going to take back the car. I told her to keep his car and to go to college. She'd find someone else later. We just met.
The majority of Vietnam War veterans had a high school education. I got my GED at Fort Rucker, Alabama. I didn't study for the tests, I just took them. I dropped out in the 11th grade. I lived on my own since I was about 16-years-old. I quit school because I was living in California and I worked full time. My relatives were in Kentucky. I left my Vietnamese ex-girlfriend because I didn't want to take her away from her family. Bad decision. She might have been pregnant. Didn't know.
The majority of American soldiers are uneducated.. others were recruited from prison to serve the country either you fight the war and become a hero, or you continue to stay in prison policy. This explained why most of them abandon the girls that they dated, leaving those women pregnant on their own.
The Vietnamese Americans, Americans & VNmese around the world should focus on giving money to the Thuong Phe Binh VNCH (South Vietnamese Disabled Veterans) & My Lai (Amerasians in Vietnam) charities than others they r part of the old South Vietnamese. Not that we don't help the poor children & other problems in VN today, but we should not focus in those Children, ect.. too much becuz they belong to the VC & it is the VC duty to care about them, let the VC do their job.
