  • I had a pup I found on the streets and she had kennel cough unfortunately she died two days later :( I'm sorry for your puppy they were adorable

  • @extremeenigmaforever Yes they are cuties even though the female passed away. She made a difference by way of this video. It has helped so many. I get emails all the time about this video and how it helped someone know what to look for or even how to help them when it is a very small puppy even a almost newborn. The chances of a newborn making it through KC is very low and the vet was very very happy with me and how I was able to defeat the odds.

  • @wildtexspirit my pup is 11 weeks old. is it dangerous

  • I'm so sorry for your loss :'(

it's so sad. but that sweet little puppy is in heaven now.

God bless Cinni, and I wish you well in this hard time.

I don't know what I'd do without my Pogo.

  • @ToriNicoleP Thank you and one passed (the brown one her lil heart couldn't do it anymore. ) But Buster is doing great and has become a father to three litters now. ^.^

  • Those poor little babiesi

    they make me cry :(

  • My puppy has Kennel cough its been more than 3 weeks now, we went for Vet they did everything for her but nothing has changed since then, she is still coughing, and makes me feel :(

but she is active and seems ok, but her coughing ..... OMG

  • Not all dog coughs are kennel cough. My dog was coughing like that and was diagnosed with pneumonia due to blastomycosis. It can be fatal if not treated properly. It's imperative to take your pet to the vet. I had no idea he could have blasto, the results from my online search were leading to either kennel cough or canine influenza, which delayed my visit to the vet. Wanted to share my experience with other pet owners, get informed but don't rely solely on internet research.

  • @4drapers yes I understand what your saying but these pups had Kennel cough and I did take them to a vet and the vet DID say they had it. I have dealt with pneumonia in dogs and cats as well. I know what the two are like from experience.

  • @4drapers I hope you were able to help your animals out of that. I have learned that softly tapping the animal on the lung areas helps them to cough the stuff out of the lungs an also if you have children's antibiotic liquid form you can give that to the animal to help them fight it better.

  • @wildtexspirit He's totally back to normal. To confirm blastomycosis diagnosis was necessary an urine test. Then the vet prescribed Fluconazole, which didn't work very well because the fungus was well spread, then changed to Itraconazole which worked. Treatment is long (6 months) and expensive, the medication for 2 weeks at Walgreens cost US$250, but then the Vet got it through a compound pharmacy at $98 for 3 months. Was a relief. It's all gone now, he's back to his old happy boy again.

  • And he has infected my puppy who is 7 weeks old.

  • My Terrier has been coughing for 4 days what do I do.

  • @xuxsoadman I am soooo sorry to get back to you so late. I do hope they are okay. But for advice when it comes to keeping the KC away from the other animals be sure to keep the infected animal away and be sure to keep the animal infected in a place that only THAT animal will be in and you. also make sure you change clothes before playing or doing anything around another animal. The infection is carried on everything it comes contact with.

  • awh, are they ok now?? :(

  • @QueenOfBaginthia Yes Buster is but the female which is the dark brown one she passed away. She couldn't breath and I lost her in my hand trying to reviver her.

  • Anyone know what would cause fever (reoccurring in dogs) lethargy, diarrhea, red skin, confusion, stumbling.... I brought my dog to the vet and they didn't know what it was.. My dog is on antibiotics but the fever keeps coming back... He does eat.. Doesn't drink enough water though..

  • @laurajdahl best to take them to the vet hun. That way they can be sure what it is and have the meds on hand to help you. I myself am not sure what it could be that was causing this to your dog.

  • This is very helpful i just got a chihuahua a week ago and he woke up with what sounds like your puppies. This helped identify what he has and he is very tiny..thank you

  • @Tazzlix I am glad I could be of help. ^.^

  • Glad to have been of some help. ^.~

  • Those poor little babies-it did make me cry :(

  • @prettygunneryuna I am so sorry if I made you cry hun .

  • is this like gagging bcoz my schnauzer pups began gaging today for no reason no other sound comes out they r only 1 month old...plz help ...also what should i give tem?

  • @Amormio7973 I am so sorry to get back to you after this long. I do hope all is well now.

  • I have my dog he just turned 11 on Christmas day my Christmas baby has been coughing for almost a year. he vet claims it is his heart I think NO with all the research I have done he def has kennel cough

  • @L3ft2D13 sorry to have gotten back to you so late. How is the pup and what was it after all?

  • I think my 3 month pomeranian puppy has Kennel Cough. I got her 3 days ago and the breeder said she had a little cough. It's getting worse than when we got her, the breeder said she would play with the cats and dogs. She's also having diarrea...I think its because of the food though. Her poop...when we got her it was normal, but since we started feeding her Avoderm for pups, her poop is all soft. She's still SUPER active. It's like nothings wrong with her other than the cough & diarrea.

  • well it might not be KC but best thing to do is ask a vet. Take it to the vet and do what they tell you hun. But the signs are quit easy to recognize. First a small cough and then it will get worse and also they will sleep a lot. They will fight you but make sure the pup or dog eats. Their eyes show discharge. their noses will stay wet also.

Diarrhea is one of the signs also but not that bad. Mine had that but then they had a problem with not going at all.

    Hope all goes well. :)

  • @Redygo37 sorry to have gotten back to you so late on this matter. What ended up being the problem? Was it KC? or something else? Sounds like it might have been what they call Parvo.

  • @wildtexspirit It was kennel cough and Giardia, she's all good now!

  • @Redygo37 thats good to hear that she is all better. ^.^

  • I'm sorry to hear about the puppy who passed away. This video did some good, though. I've been trying to identify what has been causing my dog's unusual cough, and because of your video, I think I found the answer. Thanks for putting this information out there.

  • :) No Problem hun I was glad to help.

  • That's horrible, I hope they get better soon

  • Ohh I lost the one cinna she died not long after the second video But Buster the white with spot one is doing great.

    Thanks for you comment ^.^

  • thanks for your message , looking at it now , my dog had a red hot temperature , was struggling to breathe and she had walked about for 2 days avoiding her bed which she loved and about 2 mins before she died she bolted to her bed, foam came from the mouth and her leg jolted and that was it.We think now it was a secondary infection like bronchopneumonia as it was very severe for kennel cough and she'd had 5 days on anti biotics , looking at getting a beagle puppy in future as life moves on

  • well I hope all goes well and you find a sweet friend in a very wanted puppy. ^.^

  • my dog died monday aged 14 and 9 months after getting kennel cough, just wore her out , sad to see it in puppies as atleast she had a long and great life

  • I am sorry for your loss. Yes she did have a long life. 14? wow My mother's dog that passed from eating on a turkey that was in the field next to our home . She was 15 and I went to wash her off because of the foam that came out when she would vomit and it made her have a heart attach . I know how you feel though. The loss of a dog that old is very very heart breaking.

  • aww how sad this made me teary eyed..that sucks

  • I am so sorry to make you sad. I didn't mean for that to happen . I just thought it was something that others would have to see what the tiny ones go threw also. :)

  • This is Edna with Nutro/Greenies.

Bless you for taking care of these poor pups. Sorry about the loss of the little brown one.
