Yes, the inuit have hunt them for hundreds years, however the hunts that they hold now are at too large of a scale. Most of the people who kill the seals today kill them for sport rather than food. What kind of sport is it to wait by a ice hole for a big head to appear, this is no sport it is a excuse to kill.
