I find it hard to get in six meals - i am doing the isagenix shakes and losing good - but half the time i don't even get the second shake in - i was thinking of doing one scoop at a time and doing more shakes
Thanks for the reply.. I will try to sub protein shakes in the mean time until I can sit down and make a legit grocery list. My last list was kinda as I walked through the store I grabbed what I thought I would eat..
Just add... I didn't know if being overweight and subbing protein shakes for a meal would be good or bad.. I have about 1/2 tub of chocolate shake and a full tub of vanilla shake that is sitting there that I haven't used in a while..
Quick question.. I've been doing the 6 meals no problem.. I am overweight and eating better would this sound like a good plan for my meals.. meal1- oatmeal meal2- protein shake meal 3 - chicken, brown rice, veggies meal4- protein shake meal 5 turkey sandwhich and veggies meal 6- shake I have been eating like so meal1-oatmeal meal2- apple meal3- chicken, brown rice, veggies, meal3- quaker rice cakes(2 @50 cal each) meal4- turkey sandwhich meal 6- almonds or sometimes nothing.
The only way I was able to reduce body fat was to continue to train hard but seriously cut my calories and carbs. It's not easy but if you can do it for a month you'll see serious results.
Hi protein, low carbs and low calories forces the body to burn fat. Most people cant maintain this with 5 solid meals ......the shakes are easy and take the guess work out of the equation.... a shake is a shake where a salad or a chicken breast can vary greatly from portion to portion. Too much food is too much food even if it's "good food".
so 6 small meals a day every 3 hours yeh? i agree with the whole liquid meal making u more hungry thing because u dont have anything really solid there but would u say if ur able to have 5 solid meals and 1 shake AFTER YOUR MAIN WORKOUT then u will be ok or is the fact that its in milkshake form a main contributor in the fat loss and muscle building phase? thanks david :-)
Wolverine.... the shakes I used were more "balanced" than a simple protein shake. Protein is good but if you're really cutting down what you're eating (to lose fat) you need to make sure you get enough of the essentials. Find a good "meal replacement shake" and use it with the protein that you bought. At 21 you can use more protein than I can at 45..... don't be afraid to experiment and see what works for your body. -David
The one thing you don't mention is the main reason people dislike shakes is not that their hard to make or time consuming, it's that they DON'T fill you up and your hungry a few minutes later. It's a waste of money to drink a shake and then eat real food a few minutes later because the shakes don't curb your hunger. Not to mention you get bored very quickly just drinking your meals, no matter how many flavors they have.
they are easy....and keep you from missing meals (missed meals slow your metabolism). The shakes taste great and allow me to have a metered diet so I know exactly how many carbs, calories and fat I'm consuming. Worked great for me and the other people I'm helping through their Transformations....

Subbing shakes is fine especially if you're over weight but once again keep everything in balance to stay healthy through your weight loss.

That's look a nice balanced diet. Just make sure your portions are reasonable because too much of even the right foods is TOO MUCH.

so is that like a meal

Yes....... consider it a meal. So if you're doing five to six meals it could be two to three shakes and three regular meals.

Tap water in Colorado is great! Unlike some area in the country Denver's comes from snow melt high in the Rocky Mountains.

tap water is more healthier than distilled or bottled water...depends on where you live...
