Consider that most people already own what they need. Most of America are middle-aged or older and are parents. And they are anticipating the needs of their children and grandchildren. They know what bad leadership is. What they want to see are those leaders removed. And they want to see is security for future generations. A new administration with new ideas is a better chance than an old administration with corrective ideas.

You're obviously one who believes that the so called "free market" is the primary reason for economic collapse. The fact is that "corporatism" has reigned for longer than nearly every American has been alive.

My point? Government policy created the mess. Government insists on cleaning up the mess. But the implemented "fixes" only promise more of what got us here in the first place.

Free enterprise is good, but only when government stays the hell out of it.

Right. Because government policy made financial institutions and wall street types get involved in short selling, default credit swaps, complex dirivatives, 35-100:1 debt rations, ponzi schemes, etc. Oh wait, that had NOTHING to do with the government. THAT was the free market, unregulated.

There were regulations in place. The problem is that government did NOT enforce the regulations that were all ready there. The FED is suppose to slow credit when it was too large. Did the FED cut off credit? Hell NO. Did the FED keep interest levels too low for too long of a period of time? Hell yeah. The U.S has never had a free market. U.S. Govt ALWAYS interferes. Free market means NO monopolies/conglomerates. The banks bought/combined with financial and insurance co.

The federal government supposedly had the resources in place to "regulate" Wall Street. The SEC was given stern warnings about Madoff 4 times, beginning in July 1999, but they didn't start investigating until 2006.

The truth of the matter is that corruption and greed always has/will exist. The federal government has proclaimed itself as head watch dog and has repeatedly failed in their attempts.

Hell no...I just don't go to doctors here in the US...if I get sick I call my doc in Europe for I have NO TRUST at all on mercenary american medics! Only time I've seen these ppl here were at emergency rooms for back pain and they ALMOST got me hooked on Oxycontin! And no I did not have to pay them for I have insurance! Another american scam! Yet americans will have to find out by themselves that a more fair system as we have in Canada and Europe will only benefit everybody!
