I'm in the process of reading Barbara Kingsolver's new book "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle." REALLY good. She states in there that if everyone in the U.S. ate one meal a WEEK from local resources we'd save 1.1 billion barrels of oil a DAY. WOW! Eat local if you can.
I'm a San Antonio resident. Why haven't I heard of these guys until I saw this video?! Strange... they must not be popular 'round here. It seems like the type of place I'd go to have lunch. Great menu, reasonable prices... I wonder.
Not that easy in the Provinve of Quebec because of the weather, but even more important for our farmers and growers since outside competition is so strong.
Who needs tasteless Californian strawberries during winter cold? We have the best during summer. Buy locally, follow the seasons. And eat lots of local garlic!
thats my cousin!

Farm to table is the only way to go. See it happening in the craft beer world at the Great American Beer Festival.
