  • Not the budlings made Warsaw before world war II "Eastern Europe Paris" but the people, peopol that were killed, executed, sended to Oświęcim, Sybir or Auschwitz, not by nazists but by germans. Germans took bought things, destroyed Warsaw, killed jewishes, killed polish.

  • i cried at 2:10 :(

  • 仲良くしろてめーら

  • Hope sooner or later Humanity will learn something from History (I am not so optimist ) No War can bring Peace ,why is so difficult to understand it? Money!!! A moving and beautiful film and a fantastic Adrian Brody! This is a very good and important job you did. Thanks very much.Love!

  • @benmickel FUck you like Germans were alone in warcrimes they didnt wipe out two entire cities with nukes or genocide peoples from Turkemians in east to Ukrainas in West!!! Fuck British American and Israeli Imperalism you are all a band of hipocrats! biggest warmongers of the world!

  • @ImperialGuard9001 the reason why american imperialism is still around is because we are only less than 300 years old. not everyone is a hipocrat. plus we didnt even depend on foreign oil until the early 60s because we used so much in world war 2 and vietnam. You are right on the nukes part to, but if we didnt drop the nukes, i wouldnt be here. i mean what do u expect when a country is born out of a revolution and now today the people in power dont give a shit about anyone else.

  • @ImperialGuard9001 plus there wil always be imperialism as long as governments cant find all the resources they think they need to exist so they send an army to take it from someone else. one of the funniest things The "nuke" - the masterpiece to an existence bred from war and violence.

  • Japanese?

  • fuck racism? hahaha

  • best scene of the movie 2:35 when adrian asked her sister

    Wladyslaw Szpilman: halina

    Halina Szpilman: What?

Wladyslaw Szpilman:Its funny time to say this!

    ...

    Halina Szpilman: What?

Wladyslaw Szpilman: I WISH I KNEW YOU BETTER

    and damn! those tearssssss

  • There is only one race and that is the Human Race.

  • racism does not exist. angry individuals with doubts about their own abilities do. we are all equals. i love you all.

  • Oi! Can I have some gafildafish already

  • "WHY THE F*CKING COAT"

    "...Because I'm cold."

That line, although hilarious, was along with the rest of this movie, powerful.

  • I'm very sorry to learn of the situation regarding Polanski.

This shows that each and every one of us is given gifts and also weaknesses. Only God is perfect, which is why it's important to remain close with Him in Jesus. There are many influences around us, so it's not sufficient for us to only trust our own judgement. We have the Word of God in Jesus for eternity 'to trust'.

  • @FreedomFighter247 It still does not distrace from 'the reality' of this film and what happened.

  • VERY powerful movie.

  • well... beautiful music, but... as the little girls said int the movie: GOOD BYE JEWS! :D ... and please call me racist!!! :D

  • I died laughing when that crippled Jew was thrown off the building, no racism intended though=)

Lol, he was later ran over XD

  • @BleedingtheFreak your not funny.

  • I am really moved by PIANIST film. Its direction , photography and acting of all actors all deserve praise . In fact, every scene is very much commendable . This really reminds us how people were killed , humiliated and buried alive in World War II. Still when I see this film I think I am the part of it , how natural it was filmed amazingly like real life I found very much impressive indeed.

  • I wish to make a film much like the Pianist.

  • no one blame the germans. it wasnt EVERY single german who wanted this. like that one guy who saved the dude in the movie. he secretly helped hundreds of jews escape and stuff. its the shit ass fucking NAZI group we all needa bitch about. God damn thier so fucken terrible. im tired of everyone being racist man. i swear we;d all be one hella happy world if it wasnt for shit like this. we really needa get our act together, the world dying because we all wanna act perfect and shit. im telling ya..

  • Dirty German bastards, fuck race..Jew people weren´t ugly..Jesus Crhish was born in Israel

  • なんてこった!!

  • "you make war so you can live in peace"? well, you've chosen the wrong target and you're making the wrong people pay for the attrocity made by the nazis...

  • One scene that I remember in particular was when the Nazis dumped that man out of his wheelchair from a second-story window. I could hardly stand seeing that. A great film, though.

  • @Saranm25 yes saranm , i 've had this scene face of my eyes yet , i still get shiver , i 'd like to salute all jews people which lost some family's member , and i just hope they are an justice beyond them , all the nazy will pay forwhat they done , shlom jews.

  • it is is a disturbing part of history and shouldn't be sugarcoated , well done your teacher.

  • @topliff12345

I'm also with you topliff. This is the only movie that I show, where people do not wish to see it again. And not because it was badly directed, either.

  • if find this movie hard to watch, even harder than schindler's list. what those poor people went through is shown very clearly here.

this is the film i will be sitting my children in front of when they are old enough to handle it. no one should ever forget the suffering of the jewish people.

  • @topliff12345 I'm with you toplift. Sad history.

  • @topliff12345 i'm 14 and my teacher played this movie in my school.. it was disturbing and most of us were either covering our eyes or screaming!

  • fuck YOU troll.

  • see now you are expressing your opinion, which you are entitled too, before you were being an offensive idiot and so a troll.

  • Never forget.

  • Nocturne in C Sharp Minor by Beethoven

  • anyone knows how the firts piano peace called

  • @Zurichlover

    Chopin's Nocturne in C-sharp minor..

  • the movie reminds me of schindlers list! u can still see racism & antisemitism now, it s a natural thing, they do it in europe, in the US, even in africa, it s in our nature to hate other races

  • you cant really compare films they, schindlers list and the pianist are very good also i recommend for you to watch "negger negger schornsteinfeger"

about a black boy in nazi germany

i also remember one movie about a jewish boy acting as though he is not jewish but german, i do not remember the name of that one though

  • deathowl90 i think the movie ur talkin bout is the boy in striped pj

  • Europa europa

  • Magnocalabro well said !!!!

  • Now you can see how Palestinians sufffer in Israel. This is what happens in Israel against Palestianians.

  • antisemit bullshit!

  • ..wow thats not true at all. how ignorant of you to even compare the holocaust to the Palestinans in Isreal.

  • the bit with him trying to pull the kid from under the wall was soooo sad

  • this is one of my favorite movies among of all movies i've watched!!!!

  • believe me you will go out from that land again

  • movie*

  • this movies was perfect

  • Thanks for the explanation, retard.

From what I know about you, you must have been raised by apes, or other retards....

    Go read a book.

  • you are so stupid you re leaving me speechless

  • I don't get what the big hairy fucking deal is with racism! WE ARE ALL THE SAME!!! Some of us have things that others don't, some of us have talents or skills that others don't, some of us WISH we had what others have, but it makes no difference. For those of you who are religious, we were all created by the same Gods/Goddesses. For those of you not, we were all evolved from the same species. Our differences don't make any differences. Fucking Nazi's... Hitler hadn't a brain in him...

  • forever moved by this film...

  • It is definitely a great movie, with masterful cinema to exploit the realism of the Nazi's. A co-worker I do not even know lent me the movie to watch, and now I'm off to buy a copy.

Even if you don't like the Vintage era or classical music, it is a good see.

  • Director of this movie survived the holocaust in Krakow ghetto. He just filmed that, what he have seen as child...

  • Fuck racism, each form it is. We are all the same in this earth indipendently on religion, etnichal group, political opinions etc. etc. They are just stupid structures made by men.

  • @Magnocalabro All blood runs red.-Eugene Jaques Bullard

  • @Magnocalabro

its funny how your communist supports your attack on racism but you dont dare slander religion.

youre just going with the flow

  • @Magnocalabro I share your point, I just wish that all the people think like us, when that happens there will be no more countries or continents, just one united and at peace

  • ooh my god. a very good film, good job! This film is the best film ever done, I'm not joking. A few weeks ago I visited Auscwitz 1 and 2, and also a ghetto and other second-world-war-places. And after seeing this film adn beeing in poland I havn't been more intrested in the second world war. To everyone who haven't seen this film, SEE IT! I love it!

  • try the forgotten etude, i played this in contest last week

  • this is nocturne no.20 in c minor

  • thanks

  • Comment removed

  • This is in C-sharp minor.

  • I know that the background music is a piece written by chopin but, is somebody could say to me the exact title?

  • i love this film so much, i am only 18 but when i first saw this film it did make me upset to see how people were treated back then.

In the context that this film was shown, it makes some of us wonder why did this happen and if the nazi's were succesful what would today be like.

I really wonder if sometimes we are lucky because of the way WWII ended but i still feel sorry for all the people that lost thier lives during this sickening time.

  • Good video, nice cut scenes. you should have put the German soldier in it and the part with the polish lady that chases him out of his first hiding spot, i think its a key part because it shows there were good and bad Germans, as well as good and bad Jews and poles. Also, the film doesn't really talk about the Jewish beliefs and lifestyle more the experiences of the Jews in Warsaw at that time so not to many Jewish references is a good thing, it keeps it abut human not Religious. experiences.

  • Very good last point there. Hm, I never thought of it like that, but you're very correct.

  • ughh, does anybody know where I can watch the whole movie on here???

  • just rent it, you'll save more money then if you waste ages sifting through the net.

  • lol no, he is not a Chopin XD he is just a pianist who plays Chopin music

  • The main character was a famous pianist from the time period who was playing Chopin at the time when the German planes bombed Warsaw. I can't spell his name... its too polish for me to remember.

  • His name was Władysław Szpilman.

  • Wladyslaw Szpilman:)

  • il film più bello e emozionante che abbia mai visto ç_ç !!

  • 3:25

What German NAZISoldiers did in Warsaw after Warsaw Uprising'44 - the biggest Uprising in City of the II World War (the figures of its victim is more than French and English victims II WW together...)

Now people don't know that Warsaw Uprisin'44 wasn't the same as Uprising in Warsaw Ghetto. It was dramatical moment of Polish history - please read something about it.

  • 1:22 best moment

  • This movie is so sad, but it shows what Jewish, gypsies, and other people had to go through, mostly Jewish.

  • so you guys kill children and innocents in the name of defending the land, what bs...just because 6 million of jews killed by nazis so you think all killings are justified?? What a shame!

  • thats why palestinians have no rights to live?

  • Nazi is to blame because the victims are Jews. Israelis are not condemned because the killed are Palestinians and Lebanese...what a double standard here. I guess crime against humanity applied to victims of all races and nationalities...but obviously this is only an idea, not reality. Sad.

  • the scenes in the movie are similar to what is happening in gazza

  • It's spelled Gaza.

  • no it is spelled Gazza in arabic

  • it's GAZA not GAZZA even in arabic

  • I watched

The Pianist, Anne Frank the whole story, Black book, e vita e bella and schindlers list! these films are the best ever do somebody know a other good film?

  • let it never happen again

  • i watched this film yesterday. it brought so many tears. how can people be so mean and cruel. this movie is so sad, but also a great film. adrien brody gave an outstanding performance, he so deserves the oscar. it's not fair how people can control other people based upon there nationality. god bless everyone who suffered and lost their lives for apparently no reason, its so similar to when british took over india.

  • MADE IN ORDUNG OF GERMANY...

  • Wonderful film...touching story..and it is true..the most terrible thing is that this story is true!!!

    ankhsnammon

  • Thanks Dobrib for sharing,5*!!!Beautiful vídeo.

    Hugs. Maria Inês

  • in the movie, what song is it that he plays at 3:00 from this clip

  • Hi...hersheygal0009...the firt you hear Nocturn Postum in D# minor, and after, Ballade N° 1....from F. Chopin....Chriss

  • thanks!

  • actually sorry i should have worded that differently, does anyone know what song is playing during the actual movie from the scene shown at 3:00 from this clip?

    thanks though!

  • The title is

    Grande Polonaise Brillante In E-Flat Major,Molto Allegro,Op. 22.

    - Regards,ILAB.

  • Has no country such history in the world as polish. Captivity flies 123 war later, first, second ,40 year of commune of hundred of war. As why in poland think live 38 million people in germany 80 millions but? Though these countries are largeness the same almost ? my english is not good ;/

  • very sad movie

  • <3 POLEN

  • I loved when Captain Hosenfeld saved the Pianist and said "Because we were meant to survive. It is the will of God." That really hit me.

  • Super movie!

  • im not trying to say that germans are guilty or something , but isnt sad how their the only one to take the blame , there are many other countries that did horrible things to , like russia , and serrbia

  • take the blame for what? Germans take account for German atrocities, Russians take account for Russian atrocities. This film is about German atrocities. If you wanna see Russia ones go find the films. No idea where you get your ideas.

  • I think his/her point is that the Russians do NOT take the blame for their actions.

  • And I addressed that very point.

    What's your point?

In any event I said it's not relevant here, this is a film about German atrocities, stick to the issue.

  • @Taramriel It wasn't the Germans was it, really. It was the Nazis. There are brutes in many nations, sadly and the human spirit can be mislead.

  • great movie!!!only i hate when germans always is to blame!i wish there would be movie abaut horrible things what russians did.(for example to us latvians...)

  • the film captures the main things of a mans soul...his passion for the piano and will to survive...oh what a film...5 star.

  • its past time but it is good that we remember the victims of world war 1, two and soon three

  • fuckin nazis

  • fuckin nazis

  • Hosenfeld did something more people should of, especially German officers.

  • Excellent.

  • Adrien Brody, one of the best actors in our generation...very good interpretation! I wish I could get his autograph some day.

  • so do I.

  • I love this movie

  • if anything... life is worth listening to this piece awesome...

  • this film is a very real cruelty ,of one of the survivors...i cant not image how much pain and suffering they had only for be jewis is DISGUSTING what the naziz do!

  • adrien brody did such an awesome job in this film

  • I first saw this movie when I was in 9 grade in school, and we saw it in the cinema, when it came out, around 2002-2003. Since then I've seen it more then 20 times i guess.

  • This film, is simply beautiful, it captures everything that happened, in an amazing way. I think its disgusting how anybody can be discriminated in such a way simply because they have a different religion or a different colour of skin. We are all made with one basic image. What happened all them years ago, will rest on Germany's shoulders forever. I don't blame anyone for what happened, other than the people present when it did, who did nothing about it.

  • definitely*

  • this is not our private tragedy, I'm from Poland but this is definitly tragedy of world.

  • Amzing Nocutne.

  • i saw this movie 4 years ago. it's simply a masterpiece

  • the Nazi were SICK PEOPLE. no normal human being would kill others just because they have a different religion. I bet Hitler is "having fun" in hell now together with those who supported him during the World War II. What did the Jews do in order to be exterminated? Never mind... your time will also come.

  • I'm not apologising for their behaviour, but the issue is far more complicated than "just because they have a different religion". It was nevertheless abominable.

  • I totally agree on the nazis being sick people. But then you start speaking about hell. Eternal torture for having a different religion?

  • Adrien Brody does a really nice job in this film

  • This film is beautiful and this cut excellent. Applause!

But I must say that I'm appalled by some posts. The German people were suffering and scared. They were driven to Hitler by the promise that he would lead them out of national poverty and suffering.

Just being German is no reason to condemn.

Of course the war was awful, we all know, but don't condemn Germany for past mistakes. Have you looked at your contries history recently?

    Don't let History repeat itself.

    Live.Love.Laugh.Learn.

  • Agree Poland was the country who had suffered the most.what it has gone through first the germans then the Russians. And now they are still trying to hold up.

  • This movie has been the only one capable to really show what the holocaust was about, although schindler's list and life is bella also show it truely, i mean they really make you feel the horror. Poor Polish people...I'd say Poland was the country that suffered the most in ww2

  • i want this song from copin wh can i download that..please help

  • LimeWire, it's the best.

  • It's a good movie,but I think that Schindler's List is better

  • Schindler's story involved a man who deliberately set out to frustrate the Holocaust, while from personal experience Polanski knew that fate and chance played an inexplicable role in surviving the lunacy that was WW II. This is a different theme altogether

  • I disagree.Polanski was there.

The scene where the father is punched by the sadistic Nazi?Roman saw this happen to his own father.

I was slightly disappointed in the references to the Ghetto Uprising.Too cursory. He should have shown something about Mordechai.Beautiful and heroic, Mordechai is a memorable figure.

"Schindler`s List" was good. But "The Pianist" is more sensitive and focussed. From the bombing scene to the scene at the Umschlagplatz, this was what really occurred.

  • i think you're right about mordechai, but i'm guessing polanski felt it would take away from the main point of the movie :/

  • Perhaps.Mordechai Anielewicz was one of Judaism`s great heroes.Every Jew should find inspiration in Mordechai. He had courage-whether in the Polish working class neighborhood he grew up in or in the burning ghetto.

Anytime a Jew changes his namr or trys to hide his Jewish identity, he should feel shame.Mordechai was proud to be Jewish-and he died heroically fighting for Jewish freedom.

Mordechai ranks with Moses and Abraham as one of the greatest Jews ever.

  • One of the most heart wrenching scenes is when his family is taken without him and he walks down the street crying...oh I sobbed really hard.

  • such a sad story.

  • We should always remember the past but never hold anger for it will only destroy yourself. War is always a horrible event made by man. I hope one day there will be peace.

  • my favorite film:) +++++++++...:)

  • spilzman died in 6th july 2000 and german officer wilm hosenfeld died in 1952 in a russian camp

  • I have gotten a current translation of Szpilman's book and it has also gotten a text about Willem Hosenfeld and the after-war part. It is also very interesting to read that. Szpilman tried to get Hosenfeld out of the russian camp but there was the context of the cold war. And so Hosenfeld got never released.

  • wait who died in 200 thousand and who died in 1952?

  • Wilm Hosenfeld died in 1952 Szpilman died in 2000

  • I was in the hitler youth...and at 10 years of age I was forced to shoot an already dead jewish man else I would have died...gradually I was sucked into the SS against my will...I still remember the screams...and the heat from the oven...the stench... It was unbearable...I pray every day to God that maybe I could be forgiven... But in the end I was only one of the very so-called monsters in this movie...I have a heart... And I dont even forgive myself...

  • it is remarkable that an 80year old person has computer,or even internet, or even that he knows how to use internet, or even how to know how to search search vids on the net, or even knows how to post on youtube!

  • wat number is this nocturne?

  • i believe it's No 20, C-sharp...

  • thanks buddy.. wonderfullll nocturne.. no words to decribe it

  • real story mate. based on a true story. the director tried so hard to make it as true as possible.

  • it's horrible!! fuck off nazis!!!

  • is this a real story?

  • yeah, it's the true story of the pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman and adrien brody portrays him. best movie ever!

  • It was the best movie i ever saw along with the Schlinder´s list Those fucking germans are the worst of the world they shouldn´t be call humans

  • In my personal opinion, this particular nocturne by Chopin is possibly ONE OF THE GREATEST PIANO NOCTURNE EVER CREATED IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND. There's just something about this tune that captivates me. It's hauntingly mesmerizing. Thank you Frederick Chopin For this wonderful creation. Such a great gift to the world.
