  • is there a reason he's topless? because nowadays he wouldn't dare take off his shirt, his belly is so big.

  • @discokidx1 Have you ever been to Barcelona in July? It's HOT and HUMID. That's why his shirt's off.

  • what happened to his shirt, i have a good physique, but i don't go anywhere but the beach topless, except for bed...guys are so funny, and i'm a guy

  • the style now comes from this

  • greatest piece of art ever

  • wow, new order is pretty inconsistent live, but this is inspired. never heard barney so intense!

  • thanks guys for starting a revolution

  • Bernard Sumner at his sexiest.

  • in the car at full volumen!! crazy song!!

  • This is the best live version of the song I have heard so far, It's so amazing, love it!

  • @OnkelKC _ ??

  • 22 MORONS!!!!

  • The Best Band in the World.

    God save New Order.

  • Check this new track out on Youtube

    'stay' - Flatlab

  • What a catchy song - sounds more like the "Beach" on the White Album than "Blue Monday"

  • It sounds better with the more monotone vocals.

  • tell me how do i feel

  • Cara essa banda é demais bixu...

  • weird, the guitar sound a bit morriconish on this version

  • Fucking awesome performance..all the hairs on my arms are standing up !!!

  • Comment removed

  • Mean keyboards in the beginning. NO with attitude!

  • great up grade of etenal JOY DIVISION!!!! SUCESSS FOR ALLWAYS

  • Start of Trance!

  • Adorooo, dancante demais :)

  • This song makes me want to start a riot.

  • Thanx Nfiles, I was 14 in 1984, and the cold wave wasn't in my possibility of comprehension, so if i like well "Love will tear us apart" in 1980, and The Cure, when they play sometimes of the French Radio, i liked later at this time "Blue Monday" , the rythm (disco, thanx Peter "heavy Bass" Hook) and so much the ideas of dead people who maybe come back with their spirits on earth, and boats in ports, like the John Carpenter movies in that period. Viva the Dockers of all continents, and Britain

  • maybe the best song ever

  • What a great track and great band! Joy Division and the evoloution to New Order after Curtis's death - no matter how you see it, one of the greatest music conglomerates in modern music history!

  • on my cassett from 1982

  • new order rocks!!!

  • Hooky said in an interview that ian would have been into blue monday big time and if he had survived odds are the band would have gone the same way anyway.

  • Actually sad and yet positive. When Ian Curtis wouldn't have died, New Order would never have existed. For the New Order fans, that's positive. But not for Joy Division fans like me. Don't get me wrong. I think New Order is good, but I would rather have Ian Curtis still living and JD still alive.

  • borat would have danced like a champ to this track!

  • @badintentions2 you are so out of touch whit real world

  • @PleasurablyNumb as much as borat?

  • "Ian Curtis if it wasn't for your misfortune

    I'd be a heavenly person today "

  • @spizzenergie I nver saw them

  • who cares about ads ... when he's shirtless ... i know how i should feel today

  • Come on Zohan D.I.S.C.O.!!!

  • ...kocham ten kawałek:)

  • i saw the 84 tour in düsseldorf / germany - great remembering..!!

  • lol the chic always looks bored out of her mind , like shes thinking "i should have been a concert pianist what the hell am i doing here!?" have some fun, woman!!

  • i think its the 80s look she had going on. new romantic

  • @jenwasverydrunk hmm yeah she looks like molly ringwald in sixteen candles!

  • lol true. i think molly is prettier

  • @mxrty78 Gillian Gilbert. She's cool.

  • @mxrty78 (LOL) wldnt of made a concert pianist, she had the notes marked on the keyboard ..

  • @mxrty78 - back then looking bored with it all was all the rage. I don't miss the faux 'TUDE about the 80's, when it was "cool to be rude". It wasn't cool and still isn't.

  • The fuckig best...

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg this song is legend! makes me want to be an 80s kid but sadly i'm not :( 80s music is better than most music today in my opinion :D

  • 80's music gets a bad rap because of a lot of the crap that came out then like Huey Lewis and the News.....the stuff that was played on Top 40 radio.

But those of us who listened to the Alternative music know some of the best music came out then including this one which is probably my fave song from the 80's.

  • still, joy division was better, i can't understand they make techno now

  • anyone know the link to the original?

  • Peter Hook was the shit with those riffs on the guitar.

  • Not to be too technical but that's a six string bass he's playing.

  • Makes you wonder why he needed a six string bass? bassline so simple!

  • Because that particullar kind of six string bass basically is a guitar tuned an octave below normal which amkes it sound really twangy.

  • Go and advertise your shite elsewhere.

I came here to watch New Order not to see fucking ads for a channel dedicated to wank music from an even more wank era.

  • oh, don't discard all of it though ;) (spammer blocked :) )

  • great!!! cant find words to dscribe it!!!!

  • impecable new order till these days

  • I loved too much this song ...thanks for posting this version ..i like very much !!

  • GREAT SONG. LOVE THE 80s. NEW ORDER IS THE BEST. GREETINGS FROM ALBANIA.LOL!!!

  • everything thats good comes from the 80's ;-)

  • aside from AIDS and Boy George

  • @DjToky Margeret thatcher :/

  • @DjToky they are from the 70's ;-)

  • @DjToky or earlier ;)

  • this is an iconic song that changed music forever...its influence is still evident in dance, pop and electronic music today

  • What concert was this filmed at?

  • try reading the video description

  • f*cking great!!!

  • che bono:P

  • tremendooooooo!

    salud!

  • was bernard on drugs?

  • great song plz rate 5 starzzz. mwzzz... like it

  • bombastic

  • one word - epic

  • HOOL!

  • Is it just me or is this the best New Order song by like, a million miles.

  • yeah it's brilliant but they have loads others like true faith, confusion, perfect kiss, bizarre love triangle. all great tunes :)

    Choreiiiiiiiii largaaaaaaaaaado!!!

    kkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • Loves THIS

  • INCREDIBILE

  • so schief, krass...

  • The best-selling 12 inch ever............ not difficult to see why my friends........CLASS

  • shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!

  • so far ahead of its time . top draw

  • Perfect!!!!

  • Ooooooh Yeah. Pure and utter class

  • different class

  • super

  • Es necesario estar sin camiseta?

  • si :) Absolutely.

  • @claudioeyemou

    que te molesta?

  • si claro!

  • @claudioeyemou es SUPER necesario.

  • Everyone looks so damn busy while playing this live. It's kind of funny. Otherwise, truly awesome song.

  • This song takes work. :)

  • das beste

  • I hate the 1988 remix version. I'm on the hunt for the original...

  • Most sold Maxi Single in the world.

If you stupid little idiots know what this is.

  • no-we're all thick..please elaborate

  • @timothyxmcveigh shame you did

  • what an amazing song i love this version

  • 25 years ago.! impossible.

  • Best selling 12 inch single of all time and they lost money on it! the cover cost more than they sold the record for, so the more they sold the more they lost. All the money from Joy Division kept the Hacienda going which was losing thousands per week, Tony Wilson was a great bloke but a crap businessman, R.I.P Tony you will always be a legend

  • 24 hour people is the film

  • @twostrokedowse The doormen took this piss, they fleeced the club of thousands that was its downfall imo.

  • @twostrokedowse yea. 24 hour party people was an awesome movie!

  • i wonder what they used to loop the intro? it sounds so flawless, so it's not like they are playing those synth parts live. and I don't see any apple laptops onstage like most newer bands. new order innovated electronic music. most newer bands like mgmt, la roux, passion pit owe so much to new order and madonna's early stuff

  • Comment removed

  • If you could have been in ANY band ever it would have to have been New Order.

    Shite yet brilliant.

  • haha best description ever. they don't have much skill but they put all their shit together and it comes out amazing.

  • just HOW are they SHITE??????

  • Have you seen them live?

I have, twelve times in fact and as musicians they can be a touch dodgy shall we say?And the next minute absolutely truly breathtaking.

I'm not slagging them off, it's a fact!

Hooky agrees as I've spoken to him about the very subject in the past - believe it or not.

I love New Order - rough diamonds.

  • super pecka

  • hooky el mejor!

  • Best song EVER EVER EVER!!

  • Inclined to agree - that is a very addictive combination of notes.

  • big load yur a moron their not bopring performers your just used to dumbass big time performers all about the gimmickks and props and shock new order dont need to do that showy flashy shit their music speaks for them

  • guitar !!!

  • are you kidding? I could watch Hookie play bass all day long...

  • so true,I dont see how music can be so spiritual created by said souls, unless, life in its jewel boxes, began by sound, and spirit by light.

  • One of the best songs ever

  • Loved this tune since it came out!! Now both of my kids have this tune on their I Pods :) Let the second generation of New Order fans begin ;)

    *****

    64m >:-)

  • Biggest musical breakthrough post 68

  • 5 STARS :)

  • Holy fucking SHIT. Gillian Gilbert is so hot it makes me sick. Is there anything hotter than and English synth-stroking 80s lady?

  • You've got that right nickgash! Stephen Morris is the luckiest guy on the planet.

  • Yeah, Totally!

  • smack a thon

  • hell yeah

let's snort more coke damn it!

  • i dotn like this version as well AS I LIKE OTHERS FROM THEM

    LONG LIVE JOY DIVISION

  • The sound of the bass at 0.47 sounds so powerful its like the ships horn blowing from some great ocean liner. I like how hook sounds and its pretty unique

I play bass myself and you hear of all these so-called legends that move up the fretboard at 500 miles per hour. All very good, but they don't have a sound like this lol. Totally unique is oor Hooky!! Well done m8

  • Totally! I love when I play this song for people and tell them that I love the bass and there like "what bass?" the sound is so original!

  • Hooky is my bass hero (along with Rothko). I love his sound.

  • I love to listen this song while snorting powder :O

  • breiten

  • Definitely a great coke song bro :)

  • hhmm...true, me too. but all time best white powder song in by Underworld "Born Slippy" with the volume cranked up...
