You can't say that X plane can beat Y plane either. Dogfights just don't happen that often anymore. The winner is whoever has the longest range missile. Assuming the planes do enter visual range and start a dogfight though, it's all about matching your plane's strengths to the enemy plane's weakness. One plane will obviously be better in a climb, so don't get into a climbing fight with him. Instead, force him into a dive where you have the advantage. It's not as simple as you think.
Since all of you obviously know everything about this plane, I have some questions for you, because I am curious about this fighter. What is its range? Its lift/drag ratio? Its roll rate? Its turn radius? Its turn rate? Its thrust/weight ratio? Climb rate? Endurance with the fuel properly leaned? What's its ceiling? Is it better in a high altitude or low altitude fight? Glide ratio? Stall speed? Vy speed? Vx speed? Can it do post stall maneuvers? Were you aware that flying was this complicated?

I have to say, it looks A LOT like the Eurofighter, and based on Chinese build quality and expertise levels in this field, I bet other airforces aren't too interested in this plane. The J10 is another bad copy of an American/German aircraft of the 90's. The X 31A . There were two. One crashed, the other is in a museum. All the Western and Russian aircraft that are out right now are superior to this design.

This plane is a direct knockoff of the Lavi project which I worked on in 1986-1987. We at Grumman Aerospace, working with the Israeli Air Force built a great fighter with remarkable capabilities. Unfortunately the politicians got involved and scrapped the plan. As a result, we were merged with Northrop. The basic plan design is already 25 years old and somewhat outdated.

Its turn radius? Its turn rate? Its thrust/weight ratio? Climb rate? Endurance with the fuel properly leaned? What's its ceiling? Is it better in a high altitude or low altitude fight? Glide ratio? Stall speed? Vy speed? Vx speed? Can it do post stall maneuvers? Were you aware that flying was this complicated?

I have to say, it looks A LOT like the Eurofighter, and based on Chinese build quality and expertise levels in this field, I bet other airforces aren't too interested in this plane. Why have a cheaper copy when you have have the real thing? I've heard the chinese military like to copy other technologies, with regards to missiles, but i didn't know to what extent.

This plane is a direct knockoff of the Lavi project which I worked on in 1986-1987. We at Grumman Aerospace, working with the Israeli Air Force built a great fighter with remarkable capabilities. Unfortunately the politicians got involved and scrapped the plan. As a result, we were merged with Northrop. The basic plan design is already 25 years old and somewhat outdated.

We had invented gunpowder, paper, money, movable printing, printing of books, saddle, calender, crossbows, firearms. China was the worlds biggest superpower back then.
