Genocidal Christianity is a hoax. Christianity is Roman war propaganda against the Jews and nonwhites. New testament was written by Romans to demean and destroy Judaism. Titus Flavius who destroyed the Jewish Temple commissioned the Christian hoax as a replacement for Judaism. Titus' Flavius military campaign against Jerusalem was transformed into Jesus' ministry against Judaism
HOAX Christianity and all downstream propaganda systems (eg Americanism, manifest destiny) are imploding due to internal contradictions. Free Market is just a euphemism for colonialism. America never had a Revolution; it was just British East India company which broke away form crown (the flag of the Company is identical to the US flag and precedes the US flag by nearly a century.
Government interference in the free interactions of people(the market) is ALWAYS an attempt to cheat reality. Insane and childish. It's a game of let's pretend. Let's pretend that everyone has earned and can afford a house. Let's pretend that everyone is equally credit worthy. Let's take money from some people and give it to others so we all can pretend that they are prosperous.
You can fool reality only for so long. Then it all comes crashing down. Reality always wins. Game Over.

starcatcher: there are ~40 political parties and a constitutional limit for two 5 year limit terms. I suspect you might find their urban society very open-minded. The central banks are destroying the US the same EXACT way they did to the USSR.

Colonialismisevil: Nice ideas, but you how the hell do you plan to get the white race to disarm and hand over their stolen lands? They would be have to wiped out by a meteorite before any of that happens :|
starcatcher: Stalin was responsible in starving a lot of people (a lot of my relatives actually), but only extremely fast industrialization (afforded by starvation of agricultural sector) saved SU from fascists' ethnic cleansing programs by coming out as one of the winners in WW2. It is for people in former SU to judge him. For you he seems to be simply an excuse to hate Russia - not a big deal by itself. All big countries have a faithful retinue of haters - US, Russia, EU, China, etc...
Stalin's "industrialization" was a power grab by a brutal elite at the cost of tens of millions of lives. He was a psycho more into ethnic cleansing than the facists and did not achieve anything in the end but destruction of russian society.
ZeroHumans: Stalin is a favorite boogieman of russian haters. He is dead for more then 50 years, but they still associate him with the country. His impact on society is as tragic as hard to ascertain. He is evil if you only count number of dead. But many other countries pursued goals that justified the means: bombing of civilian cities in Germany at the end of WW2 (civilian terror campaign), atomic bombing of Japan, etc.
I'm no way a russian hater and I think Putin is far more ethical than Bush and the psychotic US leaders that conspired before him. But I don't think if you were living at that time & were a miserable slave in a factory or starving or your family taken away by secret police and executed or sent to gulags you would be praising Stalin. The russians could have achieved everything they have including economic & military parity with the West without Stalinist repression. He should never have been born
ZeroHumans: it is hard to argue when it comes to alternative history. Russia would have lost without extremely repressive measures during war. While its economy was 20% of US' its military output/budget was only 40% of US'. I do agree that Russia did not need Revolution of 1917 to prosper. The moment revolution succeeded its simple existence became affront to ruling elites in the West.
ZeroHumans: being half russian/ukranian and half german, with relatives from both sides either dying fighting Germany or in concentration camps in Siberia for the "sin" of their ancestors immigrating to Russia ~300 years ago, I had all the reasons to be impartial. After Russian Revolution and bleeding fight against alliance of former czarist forces and foreign states (France, England, Japan, US) only brutally repressive system could survive. Stalin is simply a product of such a system.
Atually the czar had no "allies". He turned against the west with his rejection of a central bank, etc. That's why the west (the US and Britain) plotted to overthrow him by installing their fake communist ideology.
ZeroHumans: interesting info. Do you have links/references regarding Wilson's policy toward Russia? Russia and US were on very friendly terms in 19th century. I do know that US was the only country that was freely trading with SU before WW2. I always interpreted it as propagation of good relationship from pre-revolution days. France was Russian ally at the moment - hence huge investments by French in Russia before revolution.
I will try to get you links. But that $20 million investment for Lenin by Jacob Shiff is true. Western govts in that time were evil, very duplicitous. It's normal practice for them to pretend alliances & then stab their "friends" in the back. The same principle with the US installing Saddam by assasinating his opponent, financing and arming him & then setting him up for the kill. Western governments know how to fool the public & have a long tradition of covert operations & false flag operations.
ZeroHumans: very true. I believe that maxim "not say what you think and think what you do not say" is a foundation of diplomacy, where straightforwardness is not highly rewarded. :) I would appreciate links. Wilson's interaction with Canadian government would indeed implicate direct US involvement.
Trotsky and Lenin were quartered in Europe and Trotsky was sent to New York, getting lots of american help with his Communist Manifesto. Jacob Schiff financed Lenin's revolution to the tune of $20 million (a fortune nowadays) British troops were mysteriously in St Petersburg when Lenin and Trotsky arrived there from Germany in a train with blacked out windows. I don't the West was too "affronted" by the russian revolution. They wanted a central bank in Russia which the Czar wouldn't give to them
ZeroHumans: very good points regarding Lenin and Trotsky! Are you a history buff by any chance? Schiff was very supportive of Kerensky's government, but not for Lenin and Trotsky. I referred to November 1917 revolution, when Lenin came to power, not February 1917 revolution. Communist ideology was anathema to western (mostly European) countries due to high level of unrest and social tensions. Whatever support they gave was akin to financing mujahedeen in Afghanistan against SU.
Interesting fact: When Trotsky was sent back to Europe from New York, the US and Germany were supposedly at war. Canada impounded his ship since they reasoned if he helped to overthrew the Russia Czar, that would take away the Russian front and help the germans. Woodrow Wilson warned Canada that he would take measures against them if they continued to detain Trotsky. So the Canadians let him go. Woodrow Wilson also informed the Germans that it was in their best interests not to torpedo this ship
ZeroHumans: continuation... The main reason for Munich accord (partition of Czechoslovakia) was rabid anti-communism of Hitler... who fooled everybody in the end. Geopolitical reality gives birth to ideology and characters, which are in equal measure, are slaves of the imposed reality. Just as Hilter was a product of starvation imposed on urbanized Germany after WW1, Stalin was a product post WW1 reality. Can you judge him knowing that US founding fathers were very pro-slavery?
I don't excuse pro slavery, but Stalin was on an order of magnitude and suffering that put them to shame. The solution is keep the psychos out of government. You might as well elect Ted Bundy as president.. same result.
starcather: It is so hard not to mark you as a spam outright. Try to communicate your ideas (which you obviously do have) vs assuming (unjustifiably I would say) supremacist position. The country is Kazakhstan... Do not take it offensively, but I doubt you know anything about it beyond what Borat could teach. Did you know that it was Lenin who started NEP (new economic policy), which insured that by 1924 SU was net exporter of grain again?
Lenin and Stalin were both psychos. They killed tens of millions and wrecked Russia with unworkable communism. communism as an idea is as unworkable and as destructive as capitalism by the way. Both ideas are propaganda fairy tales invented by the west.
ZeroHumans: While judgment of historical characters is better left to history, I could not agree with you more regarding artificial split between communism and capitalism. Cold War tale is a tale of power struggle between two states - US and SU. There were states within US sphere of influence, whose economic policies are as socialist as possible (Scandinavian countries) ,and US has a powerful state economy sector (military industrial complex). Russia itself behaved like a big corporation.
ZeroHumans: continuation... SU ideology was as far from utopian communism as possible. It did allow small private sector after WW2. In short Les-Affairs' capitalism diverts big portion of society's wealth toward investment... at expense of improvement of lives of poor. On the other hand to much of wealth redistribution insures complete stagnation, but does improves lives of poor. Both extremes are harmful.
Starcatcher: You sound very anti-Russian. Constant stereotypical references to Borat/prostitutes do not even worth an argument. I do agree that holding $600B in US T-Bills should not give anybody much confidence now. On the other hand it will unlikely be a repeat of Great Depression. Inflation of 5-6% will be a likely answer. About Islam - I grew up in a country where 50% people are Christian and 50% are Muslim. I have seen very kind people on both ends. The same is true for idiots.
But you have to admit that Europe is not a colonial power anymore. They lost all that and they have become weak and less evil. They are not the same evil force they once were. Now it is european white powers like the US and Canada and Australia and Japan and China that are destroying the earth.
I don't think "arab muslims" are evil. They are originally africans. They were persecuted by europeans as much as the rest and "whitey" tried to make them inhuman. I agree what the europeans have done, and the whole world including the native indians of america and south america and the natives of polynesia and the caribbean and Africa and the animals are crying because their earth has been destroyed. The only peoples that were as barbaric as the Europeans were the Mongols with their invasions.
The worst offenders in modern times are countries the europeans colonized and occupied like the US, Canada, Australia. Asian countries like China and Japan are now the greedy villains and rapers of the environment in that section of the world
I think u have a point. But in modern times most africans and asian people are also guilty of the same things as their european colonialist masters, including environmental havoc, but it was originally the europeans who caused that. In early history the non european races lived in harmony with their environment. Europeans caused terrible destruction on the earth. I don't know about black or white, it's more like evil groups of people.
Starcatcher: Russian market were set up ~15 years ago to attract foreign money. With current fund of ~$600B and oligarchs brining $ hidden from abroad there is no need for foreign capital at the moment. Russian companies finance themselves through loans mostly, not stocks. Russia was and is high return/high risk investment and during flight to quality is bound to loose investors ... short term.
Starcatcher: Algeria and Libya are secular states. While Libya is a one man rule country (very unti-fundamentalist), Algeria is a democracy with president being elected every 5 years. Your blank statements regarding any country with predominant Muslim population is akin to extremists' raving regarding "evil" Christian country. Stereotypes and intolerance are built on fear and ignorance. And you do not have an excuse of not being able to read - read more about other cultures.
Iceland had to nationalize their banks because their dollar was valued at nothing. Americans nationalized their banks because their congressmen voted for the bailout bill. Fire Paulson and undo the damage he's done.
Ice, snow, ice, snow, ice, snow ... that about sums up Iceland and Russia. (True, Russia has one additional feature: birches.) Anyway, no wonder both cuddle together in these cold times.
This collapse was planned LONG ago by the central banks. It is called a "value grab". YOU own DEBT the rich own VALUE. They are going to buy up "value" as they collapse the world economy....as they have done MANY times before.
What do you think happened to Russia? It was "collapsed" through the London controlled WMF, WB and central banks.
The only way to kill a viper is to cut off its HEAD.
Lets start with the Rothschilds by arresting them for crimes against humanity.
Actually there are many Americans that know we have gone down the wrong road. Unfortunately most of America is just shepel who follow the main news sources. Those Americans that actually wanted to fight what has been happening but just lack the numbers needed during local, state and national elections. Oh well I'm ready for the carnage, riots and marital law.
greenspan is an economic terrotist connected to the most dangerous terrorist organization THE FEDEERAL RESERVE. their WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION ARE AS FOLLOWS; DEBT CREDIT AND INTEREST. UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
Anyone who has worked on Wall Street and is not a liar or a moron knows it is a fraud. It is a criminal organization and the government is their best friend.
There is a lot of pure hatred displayed here in these comments. Maybe, we should take a deep breath, stop believing what our deceitful media tells us, and think for ourselves for a change! In-fighting is exactly what your handlers want you to do. PLEASE, stop feeding the fire!
The current financial virus started in wall street. It is metastasizing with the virus in the white house and the virus of ignorance, stupidity & greed throughout the masses.
hmm. That is alot of anger the mr ColonialismIsEvil. I suggest you mellow down a bit and remember that the WHITEY as you call them have actually done some good as well in the world. :-)
You ignore the very simple fact that we are all human. This what you talked about could and would have been done by other colors if the situation was reversed. It is a matter of culture. We europeans are not the same as those that did the crimes you speak about. I feel no guilt for the millions killed when I was not even born.
those responsible and not those who borrowed to buy into the american dream, more like talked into, but those responsible should also lose all of what they have and be put in jail or better yet syberia to serve their time for fraud and deception. spare no guilty party.. bastards.
That's a little harsh dude. More likely this is the natural step of weeding out the idiots. American idiot's have been allowed to rule without question ripping off everybody. Soon we will see them lining up at the soup kitchens. Money is based on trust and when you fuck your creditors they fuck you harder. That is how it's always been and will never change.
ColonialismIsEvil you're such a spammer man. Let's assume you're right and we gonna have a nuclear war, that would without a doubt kill the rest of the world too or do you have perhaps some kind of immunity to nuclear bomb?
I'm impressed that Real News is doing interviews with people like Engdahl now! Engdahl is the type of guy they don't let on the MSM very much. I was/am still skeptical about RealNews do to their initial propaganda related to "global warming" and their seeming bias in favor of global taxes, however The Real News has been doing a lot of good stuff recently. If they are trying to get my trust it is starting to work.

Europeans all drive those faggy minicars unless they can afford an SUV, there's soccer fags everywhere, and pretty much everybody that counts speaks English with a shitty accent.
Europe is just a shittier, second rate version of America. There's nothing you can find there that you can't find at a mall in the US, but there's all sorts of shit in the US you can't find in Europe.

All the cities have that European look to them, all the toilets can't clean the shit off of the sides when you flush, everybody lives in a little fucking apartment with no elevator and spends tons of fucking money on shitty little cups of coffee that don't hold a candle to Starbucks. Except in price.
fucking americans. i hope they'll have to pay huge compensations to our banks some day in the future for all the AAA+ waste they sold us. that was clearly fraud and it severely harms the european economies and the euro. the only good thing is that the americans won't be able any more to divide the eu so easily and that we will have an equidistance to both russia and the usa now...
jakob, if you Europeans had had a clue, you wouldn't have bought that shit in the first place. Sure, it was a rip-off, but anyone with half a brain could have seen it coming.
Republicans are in charge here, remember? That means EVERYTHING is lies and corruption. It will stay that way until we get rid of the repubs.
Europe will never be divided again, like USA is divided away from the world. You're gonna have plenty of trouble for the next 30-50 years and you're nicely going to eat our spoons, and those of the Chinese.
To TVParkdale: What Russian economics? You might have forgotten, but Russia is as capitalist now as it gets. Are you still under impression from Reagan that Russia is an absolute "evil"? Russia has opposite geopolitical interests to US like many other countries (limit NATO growth), but not a different ideology. If having influence and mutual commitment is "compromising sovereignty" then ALL countries in the world are compromised by US... civilizing burden I guess.
I know Russia is now capitalist--have I said somewhere it was not?
I wouldn't call what US is doing "civilizing burden"--that sounds like Rudyard Kipling describing British colonialization. What I would call it is "imperialist aggression".
Russia restores a balance of power into the global arena--where that will take us, is yet to be seen.
TVParkdale: I do appreciate a civil reply. In your comment about Iceland being penetrated by Russia you made it sound like something negative ... I simply inferred that you belong to the group of "zero sum" observers - anything bad for Russia is good for us. If I was wrong then I am sorry. I believe ALL countries with VERY rare exception are imperialist if they have a powerful army and something to gain from applying it... former EU countries, Russia, US. China is a surprising exception.. so far
China is not an exception. They are one of the worst. Russia is an angel compared to them. They are destroying the earth from the Asian side, one of the top environmental destroyers. They are a confused mess of slave communism and capitalism interested in global economic dominance at the expense of the world including themselves. China is a sewer and known for animal cruelty and slavery. It is an overpopulated polluted mess and by satellite you can see a brown choking cloud spreading over China.
ZeroHumans: I was referring to history of aggressive behavior. After reinstating itself within its Ming borders (after carvings by colonial powers) China was rather docile. I do believe it is only thankns to current need to concentrate on internal affairs. Actually density per total country area China is no more dense then EU. Over past 20-30 years China elevated ~300M people from below poverty level. It is true that the cost of early industrialization is environment.
Have you been to China now? It is unliveable, hordes of people swarming everywhere. You can't stand up on the sidewalks. The rivers are sewers. They are like India and pakistan which have overpopulated and wrecked their environment but even then not as polluted as China. China is extremely repressive and cruel. China is very greedy and imperialist. If you tried to live there you would run like a maniac back to where you live.
ZeroHumans: currently I live in US and I like it here. US is no different from Britain/France of yesterday - prospering democratic metropolis combined with very aggressive foreign policy to secure resources for metropolis consumption through combination of opening outside markets to high value finished products and huge agricultural subsidies that would choke ability of those countries to get $ for their agri-produce to pay for oil (which not surprisingly is traded in $).
The US is not prospering by any stretch of the imagination. Americans are debt slaves, & they have NO culture. Everything is money. You spend your entire life chasing after the money, only to find yourself in debt & sharks circling you for what you have left. Sterile shopping malls, in poor health from poisoned food with no insurance for the medical facists & with the highest prison population in the world thanks to an insane "injustice" system that recruits slave labor for the US police state.
ZeroHumans: One can dislike or like many things about US. There are a lot of people here with very high degree of acknowledgement for all the problems in society and desire to correct them. Based on example of social movement of 1960th I believe ruling elites do have limits of their power and level of dissent from war in Iraq was much higher from the beginning compared to war in Vietnam.
Can we expect China/India to choke its industry with stringent environmental regulations if countries that polluted for more then a CENTURY do not commit fully to environmental clean up. If EU/US/Japan will not lead after doing the absolute bulk of accumulated over century environmental damage, can you really China and India to pay the price? They are right to put concerns of their people first. It is up to wealthy countries to come up with sound environmental policies like C trading
I disagree. China holds trillions in US dollars and US debt and it has a lot of world clout. They have no right to pollute the earth, they have a duty to take their own responsibility, even if the US is continuing its evil path. If they were as high minded as you claim. But China is neither responsible or ethical. China is greedy and unethical.
TVParkdale: Russia is an earthquake society - due to its diversity only strong security institutions can hold it together. Exactly those institutions are preventing country from evolving naturally. As a result it had already 3-4 (two revolutions in 1917) new starts over past 100 years. I certainly do hope current elites will be able to balance global commitment with internal development better. Yep, w/o Russia US was rather to direct in getting what it wants, breading a lot of resentment.
TVParkdale: Wider spread of power historically was not stable either - all the wars in 19th century with 2 world wars at the end. I believe what is required is a UN with very powerful military governed by constitution and agreed by all countries laws of conduct. You would agree that such an idea is utopia in current world. What state do you see as a candidate for a third leg of an international tripod? EU is too integrated with US. China/India/Brazil?
TVParkdale: I fully share your aspirations for a more responsible leadership... however hopeless they are. Internationally enforced laws would not be perfect also, since application of laws is prone to many injustices as well, but it removes opportunities for free interpretation and manipulation. I find both US and Russia equally duplicitous when it comes to their positions regarding Serbia and Georgia. What are your thoughts on why US was so much against Russia in EU and NATO during 1990-2000?
TVParkdale: I agree that WTO is extremely powerful. Without any solid basis I view NATO as a military arm and WTO as an economic arm that would allow US mostly (with scraps to EU) to get access to resources of the world. It is a much more efficient way of doing thing vs direct colonial framework of the past.
The WTO is a complete disruption of all democratic process and sovereignty.
I'm not sure that right now NATO is playing the part of the military arm but I agree it bears watching to see that doesn't become it's future function.
So for all you tinfoil hatters out there: Forget the "New World Order" and Bilderbergs and do something *useful* by fighting the WTO.
TVParkdale: In order to keep EU tied to US military structures Russia and EU should always be on the opposite sides of NATO border, hence the use of Poland/Baltic states to constantly poison relationship between EU and Russia. EU economy + Russian resources is a recipe for a self-sufficient economic and political block - anathema for US long term plans. They also understand that Russia will not form a close partnership with China, hence a stable and divided Eurasia - EU, Russia, China. Thoughts?
Mind-boggling. I believe you are out-thinking me on this one:)
So I need clarification.
Are you saying that if EU+Russia --would cause a balance of power and economics thus being able to block US dominance and creating more viable options for smaller nations?
That could be the case, or we could wind up in another cold war with giants stepping on the kiddies in the playground:(
TVParkdale: My sources for US' goals of keeping Eurasia divided are Stratfor geopolitical news and Brzensky's description of US long-term imperatives. By no means I think that small states will benefit any other block oriented geopolitical reality. All small countries are like merchants on a street - it really does not matter who fleeces them, the role performed by powerful countries (aka mafia). Small guys will benefit only from UN headed world judiciary - something US will not agree to soon.
Russia is not evil. The US is the biggest polluter and wants to control the world either through its military or through global economic slavery. Russia has only been operating in its own self-interest which is understandable, there's a lot of things it may not do right, but it has to protect its own integrity, and it is not nearly as bad as the US.
ZeroHumans: Would you agree that US attracts most blame thanks to its size - it is the biggest and most influential state, hence most opportunity to agitate other, while pursuing its interests? It is no more evil then British were or Russia within its turf (after WW2). Lack of powerful impartial security guarantor akin to police on streets insures that biggest states have to operate as mafioso (again street analogy) to get other states in line. Empowering UN is not in US interests. At least now.
ZeroHumans: definition of "evil" now or in the past should not depend on existence of other powers (like SU in the past). Would you like a comparison with a mafia boss - if others give portion of their wealth as "protection" money... US will protect them from "unexpected" harm. If the country is too greedy with its resources then it needs a lesson - so that others would not feel too comfortable. That is when "unexpected" things happen. What do you think of Chomsky?

But many other countries pursued goals that justified the means: bombing of civilian cities in Germany at the end of WW2 (civilian terror campaign), atomic bombing of Japan, etc.
elbabun 3 years ago
I'm no way a russian hater and I think Putin is far more ethical than Bush and the psychotic US leaders that conspired before him. But I don't think if you were living at that time & were a miserable slave in a factory or starving or your family taken away by secret police and executed or sent to gulags you would be praising Stalin. The russians could have achieved everything they have including economic & military parity with the West without Stalinist repression. He should never have been born
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: it is hard to argue when it comes to alternative history. Russia would have lost without extremely repressive measures during war. While its economy was 20% of US' its military output/budget was only 40% of US'. I do agree that Russia did not need Revolution of 1917 to prosper. The moment revolution succeeded its simple existence became affront to ruling elites in the West.
elbabun 3 years ago
That is soviet propaganda. Repression had nothing to do with it and is never necessary.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: being half russian/ukranian and half german, with relatives from both sides either dying fighting Germany or in concentration camps in Siberia for the "sin" of their ancestors immigrating to Russia ~300 years ago, I had all the reasons to be impartial. After Russian Revolution and bleeding fight against alliance of former czarist forces and foreign states (France, England, Japan, US) only brutally repressive system could survive. Stalin is simply a product of such a system.
elbabun 3 years ago
Atually the czar had no "allies". He turned against the west with his rejection of a central bank, etc. That's why the west (the US and Britain) plotted to overthrow him by installing their fake communist ideology.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: interesting info. Do you have links/references regarding Wilson's policy toward Russia? Russia and US were on very friendly terms in 19th century. I do know that US was the only country that was freely trading with SU before WW2. I always interpreted it as propagation of good relationship from pre-revolution days. France was Russian ally at the moment - hence huge investments by French in Russia before revolution.
elbabun 3 years ago
I will try to get you links. But that $20 million investment for Lenin by Jacob Shiff is true. Western govts in that time were evil, very duplicitous. It's normal practice for them to pretend alliances & then stab their "friends" in the back. The same principle with the US installing Saddam by assasinating his opponent, financing and arming him & then setting him up for the kill. Western governments know how to fool the public & have a long tradition of covert operations & false flag operations.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: very true. I believe that maxim "not say what you think and think what you do not say" is a foundation of diplomacy, where straightforwardness is not highly rewarded. :) I would appreciate links. Wilson's interaction with Canadian government would indeed implicate direct US involvement.
elbabun 3 years ago
Trotsky and Lenin were quartered in Europe and Trotsky was sent to New York, getting lots of american help with his Communist Manifesto. Jacob Schiff financed Lenin's revolution to the tune of $20 million (a fortune nowadays) British troops were mysteriously in St Petersburg when Lenin and Trotsky arrived there from Germany in a train with blacked out windows. I don't the West was too "affronted" by the russian revolution. They wanted a central bank in Russia which the Czar wouldn't give to them
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: very good points regarding Lenin and Trotsky! Are you a history buff by any chance? Schiff was very supportive of Kerensky's government, but not for Lenin and Trotsky. I referred to November 1917 revolution, when Lenin came to power, not February 1917 revolution. Communist ideology was anathema to western (mostly European) countries due to high level of unrest and social tensions. Whatever support they gave was akin to financing mujahedeen in Afghanistan against SU.
elbabun 3 years ago
Interesting fact: When Trotsky was sent back to Europe from New York, the US and Germany were supposedly at war. Canada impounded his ship since they reasoned if he helped to overthrew the Russia Czar, that would take away the Russian front and help the germans. Woodrow Wilson warned Canada that he would take measures against them if they continued to detain Trotsky. So the Canadians let him go. Woodrow Wilson also informed the Germans that it was in their best interests not to torpedo this ship
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: continuation... The main reason for Munich accord (partition of Czechoslovakia) was rabid anti-communism of Hitler... who fooled everybody in the end. Geopolitical reality gives birth to ideology and characters, which are in equal measure, are slaves of the imposed reality. Just as Hilter was a product of starvation imposed on urbanized Germany after WW1, Stalin was a product post WW1 reality. Can you judge him knowing that US founding fathers were very pro-slavery?
elbabun 3 years ago
I don't excuse pro slavery, but Stalin was on an order of magnitude and suffering that put them to shame. The solution is keep the psychos out of government. You might as well elect Ted Bundy as president.. same result.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
starcather: It is so hard not to mark you as a spam outright. Try to communicate your ideas (which you obviously do have) vs assuming (unjustifiably I would say) supremacist position. The country is Kazakhstan... Do not take it offensively, but I doubt you know anything about it beyond what Borat could teach. Did you know that it was Lenin who started NEP (new economic policy), which insured that by 1924 SU was net exporter of grain again?
elbabun 3 years ago
Lenin and Stalin were both psychos. They killed tens of millions and wrecked Russia with unworkable communism. communism as an idea is as unworkable and as destructive as capitalism by the way. Both ideas are propaganda fairy tales invented by the west.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: While judgment of historical characters is better left to history, I could not agree with you more regarding artificial split between communism and capitalism. Cold War tale is a tale of power struggle between two states - US and SU. There were states within US sphere of influence, whose economic policies are as socialist as possible (Scandinavian countries) ,and US has a powerful state economy sector (military industrial complex). Russia itself behaved like a big corporation.
elbabun 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: continuation... SU ideology was as far from utopian communism as possible. It did allow small private sector after WW2. In short Les-Affairs' capitalism diverts big portion of society's wealth toward investment... at expense of improvement of lives of poor. On the other hand to much of wealth redistribution insures complete stagnation, but does improves lives of poor. Both extremes are harmful.
elbabun 3 years ago
Starcatcher: You sound very anti-Russian. Constant stereotypical references to Borat/prostitutes do not even worth an argument. I do agree that holding $600B in US T-Bills should not give anybody much confidence now. On the other hand it will unlikely be a repeat of Great Depression. Inflation of 5-6% will be a likely answer. About Islam - I grew up in a country where 50% people are Christian and 50% are Muslim. I have seen very kind people on both ends. The same is true for idiots.
elbabun 3 years ago
But you have to admit that Europe is not a colonial power anymore. They lost all that and they have become weak and less evil. They are not the same evil force they once were. Now it is european white powers like the US and Canada and Australia and Japan and China that are destroying the earth.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
I don't think "arab muslims" are evil. They are originally africans. They were persecuted by europeans as much as the rest and "whitey" tried to make them inhuman. I agree what the europeans have done, and the whole world including the native indians of america and south america and the natives of polynesia and the caribbean and Africa and the animals are crying because their earth has been destroyed. The only peoples that were as barbaric as the Europeans were the Mongols with their invasions.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
The worst offenders in modern times are countries the europeans colonized and occupied like the US, Canada, Australia. Asian countries like China and Japan are now the greedy villains and rapers of the environment in that section of the world
ZeroHumans 3 years ago

TVParkdale 3 years ago
If having influence and mutual commitment is "compromising sovereignty" then ALL countries in the world are compromised by US... civilizing burden I guess.
elbabun 3 years ago
elbabun:
Point me out where I've said Russia is "evil".
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: I do appreciate a civil reply. In your comment about Iceland being penetrated by Russia you made it sound like something negative ... I simply inferred that you belong to the group of "zero sum" observers - anything bad for Russia is good for us. If I was wrong then I am sorry. I believe ALL countries with VERY rare exception are imperialist if they have a powerful army and something to gain from applying it... former EU countries, Russia, US. China is a surprising exception.. so far
elbabun 3 years ago
China is not an exception. They are one of the worst. Russia is an angel compared to them. They are destroying the earth from the Asian side, one of the top environmental destroyers. They are a confused mess of slave communism and capitalism interested in global economic dominance at the expense of the world including themselves. China is a sewer and known for animal cruelty and slavery. It is an overpopulated polluted mess and by satellite you can see a brown choking cloud spreading over China.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: I was referring to history of aggressive behavior. After reinstating itself within its Ming borders (after carvings by colonial powers) China was rather docile. I do believe it is only thankns to current need to concentrate on internal affairs. Actually density per total country area China is no more dense then EU. Over past 20-30 years China elevated ~300M people from below poverty level. It is true that the cost of early industrialization is environment.
elbabun 3 years ago
Have you been to China now? It is unliveable, hordes of people swarming everywhere. You can't stand up on the sidewalks. The rivers are sewers. They are like India and pakistan which have overpopulated and wrecked their environment but even then not as polluted as China. China is extremely repressive and cruel. China is very greedy and imperialist. If you tried to live there you would run like a maniac back to where you live.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: currently I live in US and I like it here. US is no different from Britain/France of yesterday - prospering democratic metropolis combined with very aggressive foreign policy to secure resources for metropolis consumption through combination of opening outside markets to high value finished products and huge agricultural subsidies that would choke ability of those countries to get $ for their agri-produce to pay for oil (which not surprisingly is traded in $).
elbabun 3 years ago
The US is not prospering by any stretch of the imagination. Americans are debt slaves, & they have NO culture. Everything is money. You spend your entire life chasing after the money, only to find yourself in debt & sharks circling you for what you have left. Sterile shopping malls, in poor health from poisoned food with no insurance for the medical facists & with the highest prison population in the world thanks to an insane "injustice" system that recruits slave labor for the US police state.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: One can dislike or like many things about US. There are a lot of people here with very high degree of acknowledgement for all the problems in society and desire to correct them. Based on example of social movement of 1960th I believe ruling elites do have limits of their power and level of dissent from war in Iraq was much higher from the beginning compared to war in Vietnam.
elbabun 3 years ago
ZeroHumans:
Can we expect China/India to choke its industry with stringent environmental regulations if countries that polluted for more then a CENTURY do not commit fully to environmental clean up. If EU/US/Japan will not lead after doing the absolute bulk of accumulated over century environmental damage, can you really China and India to pay the price? They are right to put concerns of their people first. It is up to wealthy countries to come up with sound environmental policies like C trading
elbabun 3 years ago

I wonder if a global tripod will provide more security?
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: Russia is an earthquake society - due to its diversity only strong security institutions can hold it together. Exactly those institutions are preventing country from evolving naturally. As a result it had already 3-4 (two revolutions in 1917) new starts over past 100 years. I certainly do hope current elites will be able to balance global commitment with internal development better. Yep, w/o Russia US was rather to direct in getting what it wants, breading a lot of resentment.
elbabun 3 years ago
TVParkdale: Wider spread of power historically was not stable either - all the wars in 19th century with 2 world wars at the end. I believe what is required is a UN with very powerful military governed by constitution and agreed by all countries laws of conduct. You would agree that such an idea is utopia in current world. What state do you see as a candidate for a third leg of an international tripod? EU is too integrated with US. China/India/Brazil?
elbabun 3 years ago
Well, I wonder what would happen with America/China/Russia.
Yeah, well a stable UN *is* a utopian dream I agree. [hey it's our dream, we can have it if we want]
I just want *some country* on this planet to understand that leadership is not bullying victims and having pizzing contests at the citizen's expense.
...REAL leadership is getting diverse groups together to make some agreement on what goals they share and how to make them happen.
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: I fully share your aspirations for a more responsible leadership... however hopeless they are. Internationally enforced laws would not be perfect also, since application of laws is prone to many injustices as well, but it removes opportunities for free interpretation and manipulation. I find both US and Russia equally duplicitous when it comes to their positions regarding Serbia and Georgia. What are your thoughts on why US was so much against Russia in EU and NATO during 1990-2000?
elbabun 3 years ago
elbabun:
Did I answer this? Can't remember...
Why would USA be against Russia in the EU?
Diversionary tactics.
The real power to make demands lies in the WTO not the EU or NATO.
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: I agree that WTO is extremely powerful. Without any solid basis I view NATO as a military arm and WTO as an economic arm that would allow US mostly (with scraps to EU) to get access to resources of the world. It is a much more efficient way of doing thing vs direct colonial framework of the past.
elbabun 3 years ago
elbabun:
The WTO is a complete disruption of all democratic process and sovereignty.
I'm not sure that right now NATO is playing the part of the military arm but I agree it bears watching to see that doesn't become it's future function.
So for all you tinfoil hatters out there: Forget the "New World Order" and Bilderbergs and do something *useful* by fighting the WTO.
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: In order to keep EU tied to US military structures Russia and EU should always be on the opposite sides of NATO border, hence the use of Poland/Baltic states to constantly poison relationship between EU and Russia. EU economy + Russian resources is a recipe for a self-sufficient economic and political block - anathema for US long term plans. They also understand that Russia will not form a close partnership with China, hence a stable and divided Eurasia - EU, Russia, China. Thoughts?
elbabun 3 years ago
elbabun:
Mind-boggling. I believe you are out-thinking me on this one:)
So I need clarification.
Are you saying that if EU+Russia --would cause a balance of power and economics thus being able to block US dominance and creating more viable options for smaller nations?
That could be the case, or we could wind up in another cold war with giants stepping on the kiddies in the playground:(
TVParkdale 3 years ago
TVParkdale: My sources for US' goals of keeping Eurasia divided are Stratfor geopolitical news and Brzensky's description of US long-term imperatives. By no means I think that small states will benefit any other block oriented geopolitical reality. All small countries are like merchants on a street - it really does not matter who fleeces them, the role performed by powerful countries (aka mafia). Small guys will benefit only from UN headed world judiciary - something US will not agree to soon.
elbabun 3 years ago 3
Russia is not evil. The US is the biggest polluter and wants to control the world either through its military or through global economic slavery. Russia has only been operating in its own self-interest which is understandable, there's a lot of things it may not do right, but it has to protect its own integrity, and it is not nearly as bad as the US.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: Would you agree that US attracts most blame thanks to its size - it is the biggest and most influential state, hence most opportunity to agitate other, while pursuing its interests? It is no more evil then British were or Russia within its turf (after WW2). Lack of powerful impartial security guarantor akin to police on streets insures that biggest states have to operate as mafioso (again street analogy) to get other states in line. Empowering UN is not in US interests. At least now.
elbabun 3 years ago
I don't think the US has any excuses now.. the US is the closest thing to pure evil the world has ever seen.
ZeroHumans 3 years ago
ZeroHumans: definition of "evil" now or in the past should not depend on existence of other powers (like SU in the past). Would you like a comparison with a mafia boss - if others give portion of their wealth as "protection" money... US will protect them from "unexpected" harm. If the country is too greedy with its resources then it needs a lesson - so that others would not feel too comfortable. That is when "unexpected" things happen. What do you think of Chomsky?
