  • Not a good way to conduct an archaeological dig, eurgh....just no! do it properly!

  • Nice finds guys, amazing

  • @usafpilot29 they are arabs with a weird accent.

  • @usafpilot29 that's called dutch, it is not even close to arabic. I can know it ;)

  • Have you gentleman found any additional helmets? Great find!

  • All I hear is yeah yeah yeah from that Dutch dude lol good vid

  • when they get caught, no more detector, they take away your car, get surch warrant, and a high fine!! lol

  • @periesicsd do they get in trouble for digging relics up?

  • @adz24888 Yes, big troubles! They can get a search warrant, they will check their banking accounts, the car that they use to get to that place and to take the stuff they find home, that will also be taken away, and you don't get it back. Never. The fines are very high. Also, digging around like that is seen as vandalism to nature, even when it are just some weeds and small plants. Their metal detector will also get taken away, don't get that back either. And more things! No, it's no joke!

  • @periesicsd So.....looks like fun.

  • OMG! The Dutch invade and dig up Germany! xD

But it's addictive! A friend of mine has the same hobby, and he has found an old Wehrmacht sheath and belt buckle.

  • what you said kraut?

  • this might be the foxhole he died in hahaha

  • There are people who would pay into the hundred thousands for that you know

  • 'Hey dude theres still a kraut in here' *camera zooms out to see perfectly clean german soldier in uniform under the helmet*

  • what a crappy shovel :\

  • how much does a metal detector cost? a good one?

  • Die had ik nog niet! XD

  • how did they know to look there........metal detector?

  • hey leuk filmpje.

    maar zoeken jullie?

    ergens in gld?

    greetzz

  • Would Of Been Funny As Hell If They Found The Helmet With The Skull Still Inside XD

  • Could I get some Info on this? I am Completely new to this. Is this Illegal in your country? What do you do when you find Human Remains? Is this common? I would love to own a German Helmet in my collection. I hope you guys are Respectful when you do this.

I have a strong military family, I'v had family fight and die. My Great uncle was a Tank Retriever and fought in the battle of the bulge during the war.

  • i wish i got something wwII from my house i love wwII

  • Comment removed

  • w w w.h e l m e t s m e d a l s . com

  • These grave robbers should be banned from Utube!

  • @Kindsbach99 Grave robbers are people who take the cool stuff away by a fallen soldier and leave the bones behind. These people are no grave robbers!! They like to find ww2 stuff just like me. and do you see any bones on this video??:P RIP all fallen soldiers!!!

  • i would laugh if it still had a head in it

  • u can sell it for thousands

  • SHOULD HAVE PUT THAT SHIT ON!!!

  • dont you have to watch out for mines?

  • Wow the inside of the helmet is still intact

  • can stuff like this still be found there

  • Nice find, but think, what if someone died In that?

  • Well DOne!!!

  • why the hell was he digging tho?

  • I bet these things are buried all over Europe. xD

  • What Battlefield is this?

  • How did you guys find it? Just randomly?

  • jesus christ that is some loose dirt. the dirt where i live is brown clay so its solid as hell

  • did you decide to even start digging at that particular spot because your were metal detecting and kept getting a signal from your metal detector that more and more metal was down there? Or did you just randomly pick a spot to dig in, and got lucky?

  • can people help me where can i find ww2 locations at canada

  • @iamthelegoking hhahahahaha are you serious or is this a joke?

    greetz willemsNL ;)

  • how the hell does a helmet get this deep? i know the allies buried large caches of them but this is a single one and that dude is almost completely inside that hole!

  • @dntlss Probably thrown away in a former foxhole, first de Germans dug in there and than the British or Canadians took over the place. Most foxholes are 1 to 1.5 meters deep, so its not surprisingly that the helmet was that deep :-)

  • @glennetnixz derp the explosion caused debree that went into atmos feer causeing nature to grow over burnt soil and therefore makes a layer of diff elements that build up over time do some science research :D

  • @glennetnixz probably a grave!! no freaking foxhole! they buried you where you fell!!!

  • @glennetnixz then give soil additions and farming which occured later. There easily burried in places like that. wouldnt doubt there is plenty of Rifles and sidearms, other memorabilia and things buried in forgotten trenches. by people in a hurry to forget the war.

  • @dntlss or it could be over the 67 yeard now it could be over the erosin or flood or rain and mudd that coverd it up in other word each year a half a foot comes up and thats why u dont see german ww2 m35 helmets on the floor top :)

  • @dntlss yeah, like he said, it could have been a foxhole or series of trenches there that perhaps he was killed in or taken prisoner. that would explain why he would have left his helmet in that hole.

  • @dntlss

In 63 years, everything can happen, the wind can blow sand over it, and other stuff like that.

  • isn't it funny how they found 3 items in a hole what small in a random patch of germany? I think somethings up.

  • no not realy if i woud go digging around our house i woud probably found something from ww 2

  • @SteelCrash I highly doubt that, but hey, try.... Bet you find a fully working Spitfire in the first hole you make...

  • @9400dan yea didnt say anything about working. And yes place where i live was hideout for partisans so yea i woud fund something if i weren't so lazy

  • oooooo :D

  • damn... i wish i lived im my anseters country(germany) cuz i would do this all day long

  • @NYmosVids true but the sad thing is, most of that stuff wasn't left by a soldier that was alive more than likely the soldier had been killed and they left some of his stuff their. thats why people find stg44's and mp40's kar 98k's and thinks like that

  • @NYmosVids Yeah but I live in Rochester NY! I so want a German helmet, but they are like $300-$500 buck!

  • could u ship this to US cuz i would lov to do this

  • Dude dat is awesome!

    lokatie?

  • Cool, dudes! (But how did it get buried so deep in the first place?)

  • Somewhere an 86 year old, former 86 year old Luftwaffe soldier is saying, "hey that's my helmet."

He is also thinking if he can get back the money the took our of his pay for not having it when he turned it in to the supply Sgt.

Seriously, good job on your dig there men.

  • @TiminPhoenix Or he got shot.

  • A grave site?.... no. I noticed that there are some questions about ww2 field graves.

When we find one in Holland we report it to the authorities, they come and collect the bones and belongings for identification. When theyre done with their investigation we can keep the non personal stuff like, field bottle, helmet, gasmask etc. Personal belongings like a wallet, watch and dog tag goes to the relatives. The bones are reburied on a special soldiers graveyard.

  • This helmet was found in a former British foxhole, probably taken from a surrendered Volkssturm German. Cheers

  • Do you need some kind of permission to do this?

  • Dude I found a Pistol in my Garden! WW2 Colt !

  • after you dropped it lol no offence

  • dit is zo vet!:D

  • Wow, this is really cool! I wish I could find cool stuff like that where I live. Either way, hello from Miami, Florida, USA!

  • wow that guy was a drinker the three bottles around his gear i wonder how he died

  • grave robbing a battle field. show some respect for those that died there!

  • van ow would it be messing up history

  • This should be illegal. You're messing with the context of the site. Let archaeologists get to it, if you screw up history can be lost forever.

  • history is made for the discoverer not to be taken by the state you find you keep

  • Really? Did you cataloge its context? The may indicate a greater site, and if its not properly recorded the history is lost to everyone. You get a helmet, congrats, potential understanding of the wider context of the site is lost.

  • Haha, 90000 views.. Dat is echt de bom..

  • wat the fuck gruwelijk man..

  • GRAVE SITE?

  • No, not a grave site, a former Canadian foxhole, probably from a Volkssturm-soldier.

  • that was pretty cool. I found it odd that the leather straps looked unharmed. Lucky find! Original ones sell for close to $400!

  • I think thats a bit to much, but I dont sell anything, its already hard enough to find nice stuff :-)

  • you got a great hobby there..and a good video, well done

  • lol 2:47 sounds like he said "what the fuck man"

  • He actually said exactly that.

If you spend some time around them, you'll hear Dutch people use more English expressions like "shit" and WTF.

  • What battle fields? What's the location?

  • from 2:46-2:48 it sounds like someone says "wtf man?" lol does anyone else think it sounds like that?

  • Yes, he is saying that, pure enthusiasm ;-D
