@roxes1000 Well, the DVD release date has been pushed back to the end of March. I don't know why, but I'd like to think they've gotten the rights to season 2 and working on an episode commentary revealing it. Of course, there's no way of knowing that they're working on season 2, but it's a fact that Funi is REALLY eager to do it. The dubbing staff LOVES Fairy Tail, especially the director, who collects the manga. We'll get the dub soon enough.

the animax dub is better coz they yake all the lines from the Japanese version and produce it in englist so there is no changing of names or places

FUNimation is so damn slow at dubbing, just look how far they're coming with Bleach... takes them forever.

So lets calculate this, 1 episode per week, 4 episodes per month, 48 episodes per year, so you got to wait until 2014 to see episode 97 which is where the Japanese anime is currently at.

Two they are actually at 339 the english dub is at Episode 97 came out in January 2010

Three in america our newest episode is 222 on tv.

Four: You can always read the america manga too it skips all of the filler.

u realize that kind of situation is pretty normal in long running animus brought over to the u.s. and bleach is actually pretty far off in the u.s. from where they are in japan. Id say with all of those fillers they keep putting out. Were about 2, possibly 3 years from bing where they r now.

I've been waiting for awhile >.< since the dub right now is really bad. The expression and emotion put into the speech they say.... it's awful somtimes. So lets see what FUNimation can do. If they "ef" this up then I would go watch the sub :S

yes! I thought it was gonna be in 2012 but fall 2011! My friend told me to watch fairy tail and it looked very interesting but the japanese voices were such a turn off for me i kinda stopped watching. But now I will give tghe series another chance :)

Respond to this video... i thought this was already dub i watched it and if it was fan dub then this dub is gonna suck because todd ( he is one of my favorite male va) is natsu and his voice does not fit natsu unlike the sub and fandub.

@darkraioxx um DBZ or DBZ Kai Chris Sabat has like 20 different voices and all the characters have different personalities and I'm not talking about the voice itself I talking about the acting ability and Todd Haberkorn I've seen him angry and serious as Koza in One Piece and as a psycho as Android 19 in DBZ Kai and also Lucy IS a nagging character most of the time I don't know what testing you saw but until the dub actually comes out or some clips are released you can't judge it

@darkraioxxx DBZ Kai counts more then the original dude it is the REAL DBZ Funimation said so themselves they also said they screwed up the original badly and that Kai was there second chance besides Kai is way more mature then original plus the acting and dialogue are 100x better and the new actors are for better then the old ones especially Frieza and Gohan they got the best improvements

@petplatypus 1.funimation doesnt make the show. 2 they edit out blood holes in stomach changed the attacks names people turn into sparkles when they explode. 3 dbz was one of the top animes there were no complaints about the voices gohan voice fit him frieza too. this was not a second chance they want money also they did it to show the new generation but they f it up. and the dialouge wtf. mature?! explain that to me you must not be a anime fan if you say a anime not mature makes no sense to me

@darkraioxxx you do realize there's an UNCUT VERSION of Kai you watch the edited version every anime fan knows what 4kids does to anime yes I'm an anime fan FUNi admitted they screwed up the English dub of the Original DBZ no one complained because then no one knew what the real Japanese version was like 1.Gohan sounded to old to be 5 in DBZ, Kai fixed it 2.Frieza sounded like a granny and had the wrong personality Kai fixed it 3.yes the UNCUT version of Kai is more mature 4.Kai is the REAL DBZ

@darkraioxxx its doesn't completely have be like the subs but it should be close what I meant was voices like Goku or Luffy from One Piece they don't sound like the subs but they still fit the characters as for Ichigo I don't watch Bleach but he sounds ok but with Gohan he sounded like he went through puberty at 5 years old and Frieza the voice was iffy it sounded forced in his later forms and the dialogue and acting were crap

Great to see every one being so positive about this dub. Ever since Akira was released in the west we have had people bitching and moaning about the dub being inferior to the sub.

@grimmow127 Viz used to have good dubs. I'm a sub/dub fan so I'm not a hater of dubs, but they've really gotten bad. Vampire knight, though is not my favorite show, is a good example. They're constantly pronouncing names wrong and although they have a good voice actor poolto choose from, always seem to cast people who just don't seem to fit. Funimation is not perfect either but overall their dubs are 10 xs better. With viz they just rush and throw out "It's good enough" with Naruto and Bleach

Funi is the best!!!!!!! seriously I am so happy about this!! I have no doubt they'll impress me. After both FMA and brotherhood being spectacular, on top of that, the AMAZING job at the Hetalia dub,Soul eater, and the wonderful work on Kuro, I cannot wait to see how well they do fairy tail!!

@grimmow127 FUNimation is better then Viz Media by a long shot don't get me wrong Viz is good FUNi and Viz are the best english dubbing companies but FUNi is better DBZ Kai,One Piece,Soul Eater,FMA Brotherhood all have great dubs Viz has Bleach and Naruto which have good dubs but those are the only to I can think of off the top of my head

@rab236 Well point number 1 is false because Funimation isn't a anime company like that this is UNCUT not ment for TV so it will be true to the Japanese. and if you would follow the links in the description it would show that the first box set is planned to contain the first 48 episodes on Bluray or Dvd

@CrazyBlackman108 Funimation has its good dubs (like Baccano) and its bad dubs (Sgt Frog [I couldn't even finish an episode]). Also, It may be intentional or not, but american versions often seem to be lacking the original oomph that made the japanese version so great. I may be a little bit cynical because of the original english dub, though.

@rab236 1st if all the company that makes enough edits to anime to have plot holes is 4kids (One piece especially) you've clearly never seen a funi dub and 2nd the first 48 episodes will be released on dvd so there won't be any catching up and 3rd just be glad it's getting dubbed.

Happy is Tia Ballard, Erza is Colleen Clinkenbeard, Lucy is Cherami Leigh, Gray is Newton Pittman, Makarov is R. Bruce Elliot, Mirajane is Monica Rial, and Elfman is Chris Sabat (I saw that one coming a mile away XD) then Todd Haberkorn was announced a while back so most people know it already.
