Harrowing and haunting, a very well executed piece of film and a great performance from Joseph Stacey! I really felt the pain and hunger in Joseph's portrayal of the homeless boy and the music score is so fitting, *Likes*. ♥

Really nice work guys, that's a great little short on some interesting subject matter. The music is perfect, ties in really well with the imagery. Really good, well done :)
A very nice short. The performance is subtle and right for what was needed! Superb! The music also is beautiful and tells more of the story which is a nice touch! nice one :D
Watching this short movie reminded me instantly of the Manu Chao's song "Me llaman calle" because Social outcasts from different areas around the world are dying like. Great Joe!
Lovely film chaps - and closer to home than one would imagine. I originally saw it as a social commentary. I think the Calpol significance is best left open to individual interpretation as on review I saw it in a somewhat different light. Aunty Poo.
Yea, Joe has it right, we are pretty much a self-medicating society. We all have memories of being given it as a kid, so I figured it would be a good universal symbol most people would get. But if others have different interpretations I'd like to here them.
Me and Dan have differing views on the significance of the Calpol but he's the director so I suppose his view is right. I thaught it was something to do either with finding comfort in something and calpol being one our earliest comforts or how society gets people addicted to substances from an early and then tosses them to the side. I'll let Dan explain his reason. It's probably more eloquent than mine.
Thats a great little movie. The music is brilliantly chosen. It adds so much feeling to it. Reminds me of a short film i saw a few years ago about homelessness and its one of those subjects that doesnt really get addressed often.
Emandpaige, I hadn't actually thought of it like that, but that is a nice interpretation, maybe it should be used to teach kids about the horrors of drug addiction. The Calpol bit was meant to be funny, but not everyone gets that, so I'm glad you did. This is Dan the director BTW.

Great little film. Soundtrack carries it perfectly! Reminds me of a short film about 5 years ago that was nominated for an orange short movie award.
Good job guys on a subject that is not often tackled.
Would love to hear Dan's explanation of the use of Calpol. It gave the film an innocence that i didnt quite understand.
Very good.
