i hav a ds2 n i m powering it with a adapter based on SMPS
the output of adapter is 9V 4000mA
and then i m dividing it into 13 parallel outputs through which i power all my pedals
i know dat 4000mA is very dangerous but the pedal wil take the input of 200mA only which is the requirement...
i hav connected one capacitor of 2500mF in series to the 13output junction and the noise which was added earlier by the adaptor is not there anymore....
It is safe since your pedal will only get the 200mA it needs. It's like your home power supply.. let's say you have 3KW of total power.. your PC uses 300W.. you have 2700W left to use :)
Nasty. Gives the 606 a real boost. I used to know a guy that had a modfied 606 that also gave a real boost to the 606. Very wicked. I'm glad I still have mine too, almost like new in the original Roland bag.
if you were to split the signal with one path clean that would help in not completely destroying the bass, but it sounds surprisingly good besides that.
someone questioned this bend on a bending forum you posted it to, something about the bend making the pedal useless for normal use. can it still work as a normal distortion pedal or does the bend ruin it?
well, it clips since the recording has been done into the digital domain. As you may know (and what you wrote suggest me you don't), both DS-2 and TR-606 are analog and their circuitry won't produce a digital clip.
I have no idea what you've done here and I bend things. this is awesome

stil m worried is it safe??
deathmetallica2nd 2 years ago
4000mA is the max power that your adapter can provide. Your pedal will use only 200mA, so you can power other pedals using the remaining 3800mA.
zioaxiom 2 years ago
so according to you the rest 3800mA wont enter the pedal right??? and there wil b no circuital damage???
what do u say?

This pedal mod transforms your DS2. I will add further modifications in order to have this bent bypassed.
