-he only wants Rachel because she is unattainable
- He and Phoebe are the perfect match, and yet he avoids any sort of relationship
because she is attainable
-remember that one episode Joey had a crush on Monica, only because he found out she was dating Chandler
- and remember wen Joey wanted to date Emma's nanny, only because Ross asked him not to date her
