Hampson has an incredibly beautiful, full, resonant voice and his interpretation leaves nothing wanting. The accompanist's control is, for this piano player, simply amazing.

Of all the you tube recordings of this song this is the only one I'll return to. No one else sets the truly abandoned tone of the lyrics with anything near this level of refinement, nor does anyone else prepare and present that crucial word "ruh'" with such powerful understatement. Thank you to both musicians.
