Wow, just found this Series. Super excited! Btw I started running Fedora 16 with Gnome a couple of weeks ago. You have very quickly converted me from Windows. Its an amazing desktop to use, love what you guys do! :D
Finally, do you think a blender plugin exporting to ClutterScript might be doable and worth ?
The resulting clutter script might then be used by gnome-shell as the declarative definition of the interface, doing the plumbing with underlying systems (shell facilities, dbus services, GIR symbols etc...).
@alexmazari I would much rather see someone pick up Cluttersmith. A specific tool would be better and the resulting assets probably directly reusable, ala Glade.
It really looks like a fast way to prototype shell interactions, thanks for making ux contributions so much easier!
It might also be useful for user-testing provided somebody turns the blend file into a blender-player application. We could even add some python behind to time user interactions, calculate mouse travel distance for a specific task or any interesting metrics you might need to iterate the design !

@jimmacfx Yeah, Cluttersmith hasn't been updated in almost a year. It would be nice to see some new features for it.

@alexmazari I was toying with using gameblender for interative mockups, but the effort involved is quite big.
