Don't know about y'all, but I'm enjoying greatly the background music of Canray Fontineau singing 'Shoe Black'............thought I would never find this song again after losing the CD of Canray's I bought many years ago. Got up late one night with it on my mind, and finally found it here!!!! And just love this video of the cooking show!!!! Blackbird jumbalaya!!! Who'd a ever thought it???? : ) Thanks to everyone who had a part in presenting this video!! Cajun music lover from Pensacola

Omg lived in Arnaudville and went to High School in the early 80's. I told my husband abut friends making robin gumbo. Learned how to make Crawfish Etouffee in Arnaudville. Oh miss the food. Hello from Florida!
this amused me. I love chartreuse. if you're near by, stop in a place called tonique (it's a very nice bar hidden in an unexpected location) on N. Rampart at the edge of the quarter and ask for a corpse reviver.
Hi Laurin, another great posting!! I love the canned laughter over the drink scene!! Looked really hot. This has really opened my eyes to the cultural differences between Cajun and English cooking. I guess that Blackbirds could be replaced by Partridge over here in the England, as the Blackbird is protected! Did you hunt and prepare them yourself, or did you buy them?

So what does blackbird taste like? I suppose I'd have to pay a game keeper to shoot a few for me, can't imagine any butcher in Glasgow selling it.

They look kinda like the doves we shoot here in Texas during bird season.

Today I was in the grocery and I saw "Louisiana Chicken Fry"
The chicken is in the batter and I am going to fry in a few minutes... I used a Kentucky Fry Mix before and commented to you about that.
I freakin cannot wait to tear into the Louisiana fried chicken.
So today your video is on Blackbird... what is that?
If you have time please tell me what Blackbird is.. please?
Thank you for all your time, expense and effort that you put into posting on YouTube, I think your are wonderful.
