@Mogley52 Dawkins made several 50-minutes videos in which he interviews a bunch of different creationists about their views, including these "scientists" among them. "Enemies of Reason" is one I remember.
He doesn't refuse to debate scientists, he refuses to debate people like Craig because they are no scientists but professional speakers who argue by using emotions and rhetoric tactics instead of facts.

@tublet13 The universe does exist, Hitler demonstrably existed because there are many videos, writings and photographs of and about him and because he is a registered citizen of austria. Also, eye witnesses largely don't contradict each other on claims about him despite never having had contact with each other.
Jesus is only documented in the bible, and everyone who mentions him in later texts know about him only from the bible - the book that claims that the world is hinged on columns.

Story of Jesus does not depend on our need for salvation quite the opposite actually but before Jesus started preaching about salvation the way to have sins forgiven was through regular sacrifice, if the story made up like you intended there why would the disciples with a prior belief in a system of sin create a new system they know to be false and then die according to it? Makes no sense. Similarity does not mean somethings false.

What is a truly good thing is they can sit down and discuss these matters like civilized people. I mentioned homophobia is because i can't see any other reason for someone taking a hardline against vanity fair, as if it were some type of menace. it's a harmless magazine that promotes THE ARTS, not just fashion. Perhaps you should read his articles instead of just judging the magazine that prints them. As a fan of Christopher's writing, I could care less where his writing shows up, as long as it is somewhere for me to read. ITs like watching Tiger Woods play golf. The other players, the announcers, everything else is pointless drivel that I could care less about, but I will at least, somewhat pay attention to see Tiger. (the old Tiger). Without Hitch, Vanity Fair is exactly as you described.
I am pleased to see that Hitchens is just as determined and resolved in his convictions as hes has ever been - even in the face of a horrible, terminal illness. All the gloating, religious ghouls must be terribly disappointed that he is so unrelenting, in spite of their thoughtless predictions to the contrary.

Hitchens HAS criticized Talmudic teachings, but they don't tend to give it as much attention since Islam and Christianity cause MANY more problems in the world today. Hitchens and Harris have both criticized Israel as well. Just because they don't aim at your specific sacred cow doesn't make them Jews non-critical of their faith.

@Mogley52 Dawkins made several 50-minutes videos in which he interviews a bunch of different creationists about their views, including these "scientists" among them. "Enemies of Reason" is one I remember.
He doesn't refuse to debate scientists, he refuses to debate people like Craig because they are no scientists but professional speakers who argue by using emotions and rhetoric tactics instead of facts.
Hitchens debated Craig and Boteach among others.

Also, eye witnesses largely don't contradict each other on claims about him despite never having had contact with each other.
Jesus is only documented in the bible, and everyone who mentions him in later texts know about him only from the bible - the book that claims that the world is hinged on columns.

Story of Jesus does not depend on our need for salvation quite the opposite actually but before Jesus started preaching about salvation the way to have sins forgiven was through regular sacrifice, if the story made up like you intended there why would the disciples with a prior belief in a system of sin create a new system they know to be false and then die according to it? Only variations of already existing genes are possible, which means only limited evolution and adaptations are possible. Nature can only work with the "cards" it has. NOT EVEN ALL EVOLUTIONISTS agree on the fossils used to support and reconstruct human evolution. The bones are incomplete. There's no certainty of the bones belonging to the same creature. They can reconstruct whatever they want from these bones, and they have. There's no hard evidence that humans evolved from an ape-like creatures anymore than there's hard evidence that apes evolved from a four-legged dog-like creatures. APES ARE QUITE COMFORTABLE IN HOW THEY WALK, just as humans are quite comfortable in how they walk. Even inheriting a slight change in the position of a muscle or bone, for either, would be excruciatingly painful and would not be an advantage for survival. @issamharrisjewish One CAN have Jewish heritage. Hitchens openly admits his mother was of Jewish blood but raised him Anglican. Harris was raised atheist. Hitchens HAS criticized Talmudic teachings, but they don't tend to give it as much attention since Islam and Christianity cause MANY more problems in the world today. Hitchens and Harris have both criticized Israel as well. Just because they don't aim at your specific sacred cow doesn't make them Jews non-critical of their faith.
