  • @hlllf Hey thanks for reminding me!! I know i got to hurry up and evolve this song!! Next step is to write it out and fine tune it. its on my to do list, but so is the tabs for "no pretense", "pursuit," and the all others from the new album...so much to do so little time....But I do like the name "Intangible"!!! so let's call it that!! Tabing is hard because it's so tedious and I have sit at the computer for hours at a time...but I'll do it for you guys!!! -John

  • Thank you for your honest music!!!!

  • @johnclarkemusic What about Strait of Gibraltar? Sounds like a journey to me... Also Persian Sunset? Zafran? Echoes from the Silk Road........

  • wishing that u could teach me how to play guitar better lol

  • You're a drummer in a guitarists body! That was some pretty cool technique.

  • fantastik....

  • "Rhythm Race"?

  • @jezebel263 That sounded like a line from a porn movie! =) No offence! :)

  • Beautiful passage

  • ! la improvisación!

  • How's this for a title? I like it. :)

  • I get it, the ending is based on The Most Evolved.

  • what about "johnclarkerules"

  • night rider or midnight ride?

  • why is there even a dislike button at all?!

  • wat about "Desperado" desperate

  • @PokemonMr5000 I don't think this piece sounds desperate at all.

  • Makes me think of Samurais for some reason... Also the way it opens is like the music is coming out of the myst. 'Ronin' would be my suggestion.

  • la canción con un significado

  • la canción con un sentido

    the song with a meaning

  • la canción con un sentido

  • i think that this guy was playing guitar since he was 1 year old

  • That is using the guitar for all it was meant to be. Your a true artist.

  • bayroot.bandcamp.com/track/man-de-la-mancha-feat-john-clarke cant thank you enough for allowing us to remix your work.

  • It's One Of The Best Songs I Ever Heard

  • I can hear people yelling "olé" !!! XD so i suggest something like "Furious tango" (because improvisation is a huge part in tango) or something about a bull or something between the two previous suggestions ^^

Hope my english is not too bad ^^

  • I love the drumming you do with this. It really makes the piece. I hope one day I can see you live!

  • Entropy.

  • Blood Rush

  • I was listening to this and was just imagining what the song reminded me of, and I keep coming to the image of a lovely young women dancing so I was thinking "El Baile doncella"

  • sweeeet ! i dont know if u have already, but u should do a studio version of this !!! fantastic work, why not get some shakers and orchestral strings (staccato im thinking) in there ? making it more epic. but i love it !

  • is this the Cordoba Thinbody guitar ?

  • This song has very seductive Latin feel to it!

    "intangible seduction"

  • Listening to your music inspires and motivates me to play my guitar, and I am very hard to motivate.

  • Just Make me know when you're here in Egypt, YOU'RE NUMBER ONE, MAN. NO DOUBT.

    Big Fan

    Kastor

  • hey are you still playing in the sf bay area? because i want to come see you play live sometime

  • der Wahnsinn!!

  • "and the Gunslinger Followed" i know i didn't make it up but it seemed right to me

  • john hows this for a name "beat of a diffrient drum"

  • i tink u should name it memories :)

  • fantastic music, fartsam08, i really like your title idea "caballos de baile" I think that is exactly what the song would translate to if there was a sound - english dictionary lol. But really; fartsam?

  • Intangible emotion hows that?

  • how about "Dark Romance" or "Dark Love"

  • fuego frío = cold fire

  • @3BOODWAEL i like that. perfect. any oxymoron. contradictory, just as the song does. sweet and flowing at times, but argumentative all at once. and then over all, melodic. i agree with this. cold fire.

  • @TMSVioloncellist thank you . =D .. it really took sometime of deep thinking to come up with something simple and has a lot of meanings :) . so if you please like it so john clark could also see it clearly =D i would appreciate it :D

  • "cavalry."

  • Name suggestion: Caballos de baile (Horse Dance)

  • español guitarra de golpe de tambor

  • I thought that this music was a king of fierce let-go, something in me definitely wants to move like crazy :) at 0:35 i pick up a little of belly dancing beat for 3 seconds. the rythm inspires a lot of confidence too.. man playing this must be some kind of catharsis lol its high in energy almost all the way with a climax at the end... i really think the title should have the word Dance somwhere in it...

  • Oh jon!!!! u r such a amazing crazy guy. awesome....

  • Oh jon!!!! u r such a amazing crazy guy. awesome....

  • Military sound; rhythmic marching; horses. When you start playing sounds like a Mexican/ Spanish army on it's way to do battle. At 3:20 or so it sounds like the sound of setting up for battle. Around 3:26 it sounds like orders are being given; 3.32 it sounds like there there is engagement in battle; at the end there is definitely a climactic feeling like something happened, like a catastrophic engagement but it leaves you wondering which side is being devastated.

  • Sands of Time...or the evolving sands of time. i dont know it just came to me.

  • • March of the Misfits

  • Sounds like the guy who made that old school marching song. Or maybe this guy was the guy whos song was rejected when they were asking people to make a song for marching. And he just attempted to improve it were he found another calling. I don't know what you would name that story but there is prolly one in there somewhere, heh.

  • a little smooth criminal ...perfecto

  • John, you are my role model!

I want to play like you ( but I know that it's quite impossible) =)

  • You could call it Spanish Woman

  • Oh yeah and you should name this song "Cabalgata Inmaterial" Spanish for The Intangible Horse Ride

  • Have you ever thought of instead of growing your fingernails long wearing those finger clip things? Because I bought them and I hated them, but not as much as trying to work when not playing guitar with long fingernails, so i coped.

  • About the name: the rythm reminds me of a horse galloping; maybe something with word "horse" in it (or in Spanish: Caballo)? "El caballero"?

  • Great Music!!! I would name it: March of Existence

  • @a7faour That's pretty good :O

  • This is superb - the beat and the style are great - I think your on to something great! As far as names goes ... I have always loved certain Spanish Female names.

Elena - Meaning flame or torch. Because this song has a lot of unpredictable percussion, lows, highs, speed, and grace ... it reminds me a lot of watching a camp fire or the flame of a candle.

    Makes me think of a .... Elena .... :-)

  • I would simply LOVE, if you would call this song "tomar medidas flamantes", which means "Taking brand new steps". This song is different in many ways of your older songs, but you toke some of the loops with you, and this time you involved alot of rumba. This is a very great work, I love the way you put texts in the upper right corner while the music is on. The story with your nameless lizard gave pictures while playing. Maybe you should call the song "lagarto anónimo" Your biggest fan from DK

  • Simply amazing... as far as names go, I think the name Virtus(pronounce weartuce) its a Latin word that has no derivative. It defines as the quality in a man that makes a man a man. Basically meaning, what makes you who you are and what makes you great.

  • John, your music is inspirational. This piece paints me a image of a last stand in battle, and the heart of a man (determination) who has no more refuge and nowhere to go, but forward into the fray. It's the sound that expresses the 'Heart of a Man'

  • You Play Guitar by your Heart ! I like it

  • John....YOU ARE AMAZING!

  • I would call it

    Free Fall

    Or

    Escape !

  • title- GYPSY

this songs brings me to imagine someone and their adventures through an unknown land. not knowing what they come up against next. they are frightened but ready for it all at the same time.

by the way, i love your playing. you truly are a student of the instrument. there just arent as many people that are passionate about the instruments anymore. now its all about who looks the best doing it. keep up the great work.

  • hm title = Premonitions from Dreams . :) lol

  • the next generation

  • Is there any book about music theory that you recommend? I don't have time to take a course so if you could recommend me one I would appreciate!

  • how about "Untitled" kinda seems silly now that i am typing it, but it seemed like a good name, hahaha

  • how about "Untitled" kinda seems silly now that i am typing it, but it seemed like a good name, hahaha

  • la salvación

  • This is great stuff! This makes me think of stuff that really cannot be described, like when looking at a certain picture, or riding horse with sword in hand, or riding a Harley on the open highway, going into battle, or dancing an intense bolero.. I would name "Intangible spirit"

  • @CatAvionics

    intangible.....hmmm....I like it!

  • @CatAvionics year exactly i was thinking the same like you cant explain the universe but this song would cover it all much better than them dream weaver things!!ha ha wicked tune !!!

  • i think the name should be:

    hunter of perfection

  • the name could be school :D

  • Purple Spain! ....Purpura Spain? Clics de Espana! ......and heres a good one I think, Guitarra de San Francisco

  • Name Suggestions: 1. Infinitas 2. Guitarra Apassionato ("Passionate Guitar" in Spanish/Italian) 3. Resplandor d'Amore ("Flames of Love" in Spanish/Italian) 4. Aria del Fuego ("Song of the Fire" in English/Spanish) 5. Torment Brilliante ("Brilliant Torment" in English/Spanish) 6. Para Siempre ("Forevermore" in Spanish) 7. Entrega à Désir ("Surrender to Desire" in Spanish/French) 9. Dark Fire 9. Perambulating Impediment 10. Hastened Silhouette Hope one of them is good...
  • 'su alma buena' i think could be a good name, let me know

  • Comment removed

  • wow it think getaway would go with it .. it's an awesome song love the beat just so freaking awesome :)

  • horse back on the Rio Grand

  • hoh? gud idea... how to make this guitarCAM?? teach us!!!!hohohoho!

  • creative

  • the name of the song should be bandero or bandolero...it feels like im a cowboy or mexican revolutionary in the late 19th century or ealy 1900's

  • what about "El Caballo Durante la Puesta Del Sol" because it has like an enjoyable sound as if you were taking your horse on a stroll along a nice beach in mexico during a sunset. the title means like horse during the sunset but you could kind of revise it to make it shorter or a little more sense. Anyway really good music you are making John!

  • Spanish horse or something about galloping. It sounds like something they would play on a spanish movie when then horses r running or something like that. Either way, I absolutely love this song

  • you are an amazing guitarist

im still learning and i've gotten a little handy with different strumming methods but i dont have as much variation as you

  • I want to buy a classical/flamenco guitar, what would any one recommend under $300?

    -jon miami ps great video

  • ‘88 sueños

  • Nice Song John, how about "Signature"... this kind of strumming and beat making has your name written all over it, it will go down in history as your "signature"... hehehe

  • I think the best name of this song is "John H. Clarke"

  • Its a great addition to all of your great songs. How about the name "En El Cielo"?

  • Its a great addtion to all of your great songs. How about the name "En El Cielo"?

  • Incredible song, as are all of yours...How about the name "En El Cielo" ?

    "Ritmo Anesthetic"

  • When I need stress free day I listen John Clarks music and sail away .... Thank you JC. Proposed name of the song- Vagabundo.

  • i like this a lot, for some reason i pictured a bar fight whilst listening to this and i came up with this name, El Barman Esiempre Muere Al Último (The Barman Always Dies Last)

  • @tkengels

    I thought of the same.

and in this context i thought of a movie,

which has the biggest bar fight in movie history in it.

the movie is "from Dusk till Dawn".

think that would be a good song-title, too.

  • wow!! there are so many great name ideas here! Thanks a million for all your help. I promise to choose one of the suggested names by the time I upload the next version of this song. Free album download if i choose your song title!

  • @johnclarkemusic how about corre caballo (run horse)

  • I can't get tired of looking at your videos John, you're very creative but you seem to always have your own style as well. Keep up the awesome videos mate, big shout out from Sydney, Australia.

    Carlos

  • you could name it 'brisa de verano' or however summer breeze is called in spanish -)

  • Comment removed

  • call it transcendence..

  • have you named the song yet john?

  • your music is awesome! wish i could play like you someday.

i have a passion for spanish/latin rhythms and you've mastered it perfectly!!

i'd call it... mi aventura del azar (my spanish aint so good)

  • genuinely mine, name it that

  • i see someone in spain having a drink in a club and making eyes with a gorgeous spanish woman and the guy having a drink asks the woman for a dance..so the name should be, QUIERES BAILAR?(do you want to dance)?i dont know how to write an upside down question mark before the Q,but thats how you would write it..i love this song even though its improvised you have alot to work with..thanks for posting!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It sounds like a cross between a marching band and Metallica, at times. I would keep the beating on the guitar and some spanish/rock sound and call it "March of the Guitars" or something like this. I loved it! You're so fantasic!

  • Perhaps "El Camino de Luz"

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like a march

  • You've got The Most Evolved...

    How about The Least Expected?

  • i dont like the guitarcam but i love your songs !!!!

  • I would call it Windmill, for its sustained rhythm but without a mechanical perfect repetitive beat. it's filled with snaps, crackles and pops just as you would hear in nature and it's occasional high pitch notes reminded me of the squeaking of metal parts. Not to mention the obvious Spanish little twist to its melody that makes me think that these windmills are what Don Quixote would be fighting against if he would be able to catch up to them....;-)

  • It's like travelling through several countries. Aboriginal and African at the start. Then some Mexican, Spanish and Jamaican. Hmmmm.

  • Guante de las Cabras.

  • I'd call it updraft or upwind! I just like the idea that since it's kinda improvised, that it's as if taken upon a wind, a natural progression, going along with the currents of your inspiration and ingenuity.

  • I think you just came up with the name of your song...."Evolution"

  • Name... Perguita (derived from Percussion / Guitar)... lol

It is actually a Spanish name.

  • If I could do one thing with my life, I would learn how to play guitar just like you.

  • Reminded me of Gabriela for about the first 1/4 or so...

    Here's the title suggestion:

"I heard her husbands footsteps coming up the stairs, so I grabbed my stuff and jumped out the window"

  • i love listening to your music. i love that style

  • And now you've turned your guitar into a Drum. Your so fucken epic !!! i've been watching your vids for a long time!!!! =P you rule all.

  • this is just how a genius' mind works!

  • El pulso del Torero

    sounds nice btw

  • @DavesTreeFarm love that name!

  • Suggestion for name :

    Spanish Step

reason is it keeps stepping up in tound

  • superb john ...you say the techniques etc took years to learn. curious to know how many . can you give a brief account of your guitar history ...where you studied and all that? love to watch you play

  • @forinstance872

I started studying guitar in 1988. I've had a few lessons here and there. Mostly learned from books and listening and experimenting. I've taken several college course in music theory which helped a lot. I've always just tried to learn and discover as much as I could about music and guitar. I was sure that I would be a musician by the age of 13. Not because I was any good at it, but just because I loved it.

  • @johnclarkemusic Me TOO! Though I don't yet play guitar, it is my next goal. My current instruments are cello and violin. I'm planning to study guitar and harp next.:)

  • Awesome playing! And it's nice that you kept your promise with atleast one video a week hehe. Some other channels are too lazy

  • Very nice

  • JC...

the unnamed loops r so inspiring... well done

  • I read this previous comment, which suggested the name "Bomba Rítmica ". It actually FEELS like this is already the REAL name of the song, so I would support that name! Awsome hand-tapping, by the way... Keep it up!

  • I really enjoyed the bits where you stopped playing altogether for a moment. It adds such drama to the piece.

  • Awesome much?

    I say :OH YES!

    Thumbs up if you agree!:D

  • I really like this song! it's very different from your other songs, but in a very good way. I guess you can modify the ending a bit to keep up with the uniqueness, it sounded very much like the ending for "The Most Evolved". Don't you think?

    A name suggestion: "Rush" :)

  • Amazing! I love it.

it went just right after 2:18

and I suggest: "Emotional Conflict" :D

  • Amazing.

  • Nasty. I definitely liked the rapid percussion and higher notes in this one.
